1、5月31日是世界无烟日，可以让大家更好地了解吸烟，以及吸"二手烟"对身体的危害，亦可对我国庞大的烟民人数的减少作一点贡献;

活动背景：为了让吸烟的大学生戒烟，不吸烟的大学生远离吸烟;从而为有强健的身心体魄打好基础，轻松学习，自信迎考;。我们开展了此次校园"打扫烟头"活动，希望本次禁烟日宣传教育活动，起到了警示教育作用，使同学们更深刻地认识到吸烟对自己及他人的身体健康造成的危害，增强了禁烟、控烟的意识。

活动安排：五月三十一日前在两个社团内部征集志愿者。选定时间后在东方红广场集合，按事先选定的小组同时进行校园内烟头打扫活动，活动结束后照相留念。

北京市卫生局郭积勇副局长回顾并总结了近年工作情况：北京市自1992年开展爱婴医院创建活动，全国首批21家爱婴医院中，北京市有6家。1996年北京市18个区县全部一次通过爱婴区县评审，1997年通过了世界卫生组织及联合国儿童基金会的爱婴省市的评审，成为爱婴城市。目前北京市有爱婴医院100余家。

8月10日，市妇幼保健所举办母乳喂养知识专题讲座，向准妈妈们传授母乳喂养的好处及处理方法，拉开了世界母乳喂养周宣传系列活动序幕。

市妇幼保健所群体保健科科长吴榴娣告诉记者，母乳是婴儿成长唯一最自然、最安全、最完整的天然食物，江阴每年有2万多名新生儿出生，虽然母乳喂养率达到90%，但纯母乳喂养并不是很高。《中国儿童发展纲要》(2011-2020年)提出的目标是，0-6个月婴儿纯母乳喂养率要达到50%以上。为多层面、多渠道促进哺乳期女职工坚持母乳喂养，保护妇女儿童健康权益，国家、省市多部门联合开展系列活动，通过开展母乳喂养主题宣传活动、加强爱婴医院和休息哺乳场所建设管理等举措，为孕产妇和新生儿提供充分的母乳喂养支持。
