While some of man’s accomplishments, such as the building of transportation systems and the consistent supply of potable water, have made Earth a better place for people to live, they have not come without cost. Overall, it seems that human activity harms the Earth more than it benefits it.

For example, the transportation systems that benefit mankind also create pollution and use up valuable energy resources. While we cannot do without transportation these days, we cannot ignore the fact that it has an adverse effect on the planet. Furthermore, those advances that benefit people do not benefit al the life on Earth. Deforestation endangers many animals, and mankind’s great thirst for water and other resources leads to the extinction of many plant forms. In addition, accomplishments such as the supply of potable water to a community are only response to problems that mankind created in the past. It was man that made the water unfit to drink in the first place. Finally, the damage that human activity causes will eventually have a negative effect on people. In conclusion, it seems apparent that man’s activity benefits primarily himself, not the Earth. Moreover, those benefits are only short-term advantages, and man will also suffer the negative effects of his activity in the future. 6月5日是世界环境日，美利达自行车鲅鱼圈自行车运动协会组织成员们积极宣传环保，为保护环境出力。

美利达自行车鲅鱼圈自行车运动协会成立于09年7月20号，起初只有十几个人，发展到现在，注册会员有800多人，没有注册的骑行的爱好者还有1000多人。成员们不仅热爱骑行，而且积极利用业余时间从事公益活动，多次去孤儿院看望孤寡老人，并定期自发到区内景区捡拾垃圾。

活动中，来自美利达自行车鲅鱼圈自行车运动协会的120余人身穿印有“低碳环保 绿色出行”的运动服装，从红海新区美利达自行车车行出发，沿着鲅鱼圈主街路骑行，用行动积极宣传低碳环保的生活方式。

骑行活动结束后，鲅鱼圈自行车运动协会的成员们还来到碧霞山公园，捡拾公园内的垃圾，并统一放在自备的垃圾袋中。

希望通过骑行和捡垃圾的方式宣传环保理念，也将继续推广骑行这项运动，让更多的人能够爱上骑行，选择低碳出行。

As we all know, pollution is harmful to living beings. There are many different types of pollutions in this world. For instance, water pollution, air pollution, noise pollution and so on. Water pollution cause many kinds of disease that have negative effects on human beings, sometimes the diseases will take people’s life away. Dirty air will increase the rate of getting lung cancer. While the noise pollution will cause insomnia. People’s health condition will be damaged.

In my humble opinion, people should take measures to control the pollution. Recently, not only the government, but also individual has taken part in the action of protecting the environment. I love my school so much, because of the beautiful environment. The first

day I walk into the school, I am very impressed by the green trees and the

3月24日是第21个“世界防治结核病日”，正阳县卫生计生委组织各医疗卫生单位开展了声势浩大的宣传教育活动，提高全民参与疾病防控的积极性。

该县疾控中心、县人民医院、县中医院、县第二人民医院、县妇幼保健院等医疗卫生单位在县城东大街开展了形式多样的宣传咨询和义诊活动。此次活动共悬挂宣传条幅4幅，展出宣传板面6块，发放宣传单、宣传页3500余份，义诊200余人。

此次活动，使群众更多的了解了结核病基本特征、防治知识和国家免费治疗政策，对提高结核病知晓率、有效预防控制结核病起到积极作用。

可在校外，大家都变了个样。吃不完的东西随地乱扔。乘公交车时，一边吃零食，一边往外扔包装袋。什么纸碗啦、饮料瓶啦，还有果皮瓜子壳啊，想扔就扔。公交车开过，留下一道垃圾风景线。

再说说咱们的沿河路公园吧。那里本来绿树成荫，鸟语花香。如今，老远就闻到一股怪味。走近一看，河面上漂着一些垃圾袋、方便碗，还有许多叫不出名字的垃圾，河水怎么不变臭啊!更让人无法想象的是，有人把河边栏杆上的铁链故意弄断了，那多危险!小孩走路还摇、要多留心点。

沿江公园也是散步的好地方，可是江坡边常有牛儿自由地在那里吃草，随地大小便，引来许多的苍蝇和臭虫，真恶心。大家走累了，想休息一会儿，可路边四条腿的石条凳变成三条腿，东倒西歪的，好点儿的凳上有垃圾，叫人怎么坐啊?

还有个不美的地方，就是一些校广告到处贴，连电线杆上，人行道上都用五颜六色的油漆刷出广告人的联系电话，看着就不顺眼。这些被人们称作“城市牛皮癣”的现象，谁来治一治啊!

到街上随便转一转，就看到太多不美的地方，这都是大家不自觉造成的。奥运会就要来临了，要是大家还不注意环境，就要被外国朋友取笑了。

环境保护靠大家，我们一定要从自己做起，人人动手来保护我们的家园。

世界环境日为每年的6月5日，它的确立反映了世界各国人民对环境问题的认识和态度，表达了人类对美好环境的向往和追求。它是联合国促进全球环境意识、提高政府对环境问题的注意并采取行动的主要媒介之一。

随着全球经济发展，污染越来越严重，地球已“不堪重负”。江河湖海失去了以往的颜色，多种多样的动物日益减少，人类的生存环境越发恶劣。面对这一问题，1972年，联合国将每年6月5日定为世界环境日。这个日子的确立，反映了世界各国人民对环境问题的认识和态度，表达了人类对美好环境的向往和追求。

如今，随着人们对环保的日益关心，6月5日成为了各环保组织乃至市民关注的焦点。然而，世界环境日的由来以及“前世今生”是怎样的呢?本期将由市环保局工作人员向各位一一介绍。

1972年6月5日-16日，联合国在瑞典首都斯德哥尔摩召开了人类环境会议。这是人类历史上第一次在全世界范围内研究保护人类环境的会议。出席会议的有113个国家共1300多名代表。会议讨论了当代世界的环境问题，制定了对策和措施。这次会议还提出了响彻世界的环境保护口号：只有一个地球!会议还形成并公布了著名的《联合国人类环境会议宣言》(简称《人类环境宣言》)，以及包含109条建议的保护全球环境的“行动计划”，呼吁各国政府和人民为维护和改善人类环境、造福全体人民、造福子孙后代而共同努力。

1972年10月，第27届联大确立每年6月5日为“世界环境日”。

2015年“环境日”主题：践行绿色生活

把今年“环境日”主题确定为“践行绿色生活”，旨在通过“环境日”的集中宣传，广泛传播和弘扬“生活方式绿色化”理念，提升人们对“生活方式绿色化”的认识和理解，并自觉转化为实际行动;呼吁人人行动起来，从自身做起，从身边小事做起，减少超前消费、炫耀性消费、奢侈性消费和铺张浪费现象，实现生活方式和消费模式向勤俭节约、绿色低碳、文明健康的方向转变;呼应联合国环境署确定的世界环境日主题，形成宣传合力。

据了解，联合国环境规划署确定今年世界环境日主题为“可持续消费和生产”，口号为“七十亿人的梦想：一个星球 关爱型消费”。

“环境日”期间，环境保护部将举办一系列宣传纪念活动，各地也将围绕“环境日”主题，开展丰富多彩的宣传纪念活动，汇聚全社会的力量，为推动生态文明建设和环境保护做出更大的贡献。

The classmates, we live is getting better and better now, almost all of the people live a happy life, people to live and work in peace and contentment.

But, one day when you walk on the broad road, enjoying the green trees, red flowers beside the sudden smell of the nose is sewage smell, dont you feel sick? 但是，当你有一天行走在宽阔的道路上，欣赏着旁边的緑树红花，突然闻到扑鼻而来的是污水的臭味时，你不觉得恶心吗?当你心情无比舒畅的走在干净的校园里，突然一个塑料袋飞到你的脸上，你不觉得扫兴吗?相信同学们也有同感。人类和动物的生存环境已经受到严重的破坏。使许多珍贵的动物面临灭绝的危机。所以保护我们唯一的地球，保护我们的家园，是我们这一代青少年的责任。

我真想对那些破坏环境的人大声的说一句：“请停下你们的行为。”虽然我个人的“力量”很弱小，但是我可以号召所有的同学们一起和破坏环境的人做“斗争”，来净化我们的家园。还人类和动物一片干净的蓝天。让小朋友们在阳光下茁壮成长，让鸟儿们在天空中自由飞翔。

在这里，我再一次号召同学们从个人做起，从我做起，不要乱扔垃圾，不随地吐痰，爱护花草树木，节约用水用电。坚决和破坏环境的人做“斗争”做一个环保“小勇士”。
