联合国艾滋病规划署执行主任米歇尔·西迪贝说：“结束艾滋病的流行，不让任何一个人被落下，将深刻影响全球数以百万计的人们的生活，造福未来数代人。”

法国研究人员也在今年7月宣布，一名法国女性艾滋病病毒携带者在停药12年后未发病，这是世界上首例出生后立即接受早期治疗后能多年有效控制病情的病例。
