With the quickly development in the economic field in nowadays,the resources on the earth get fewer and fewer. As we all know, the earth is the only home to everybody. 为了证实这一危害，我们把要做实验的意图跟家长说了，并征得了他们的支持。我们叫周旻晖爸爸发起车子，不要前进，原地不动。又拿出一盆开得正旺的菊花放在小板凳上，将小板凳拿到了汽车排气管后。一股股臭熏熏的黑烟从花瓣间飘过，一两分钟过去了，花儿还和原先的差不多；五分钟过去了，有几片花瓣已经凋谢了，十分钟后，那原先湿润的土壤都变得非常干燥，没有水分了。二十分钟后，那原先饱满、充满活力的茎都变得紧绷绷的，好像一根电线。通过这个试验我们明白了汽车尾气对植物的危害确实是很大的。

Saving Water

The world is not only hungry,but also thirsty for water. This may seem strange to you, since nearly 75 % of the earths surface is covered with water. But about 97% of this huge amount is sea water, or salt water. Man can only drink and use the other 3% -- the fresh water that comes from rivers, lakes,underground, and other sources. And we cannot even use all of that, because some of it is in the form of icebergs and glaciers. Even worse, some of it has been polluted.

However, as things stand today, this small amount of fresh water, which is constantly being replaced by rainfall, is still enough for us. But our need for water is increasing rapidly-- almost day by day. Only if we take steps to deal with this problem now can we avoid a severe worldwide water shortage later on. A limited water supply would have a bad effect on agriculture and industry. Let me give you just one small exampie of how necessary water is to industry. Did you know that to produce a single ton of steel, it takes about 91, 000 liters of water?

We all have to learn how to stop wasting our precious water. One of the first steps we should take is to develop ways of reusing it. Experiments have already been done in this field, but only on a small scale. For us, the systems are as important as the spacecraft.

I believe the school environment protection are important because students need a quiet and pollution-free environment to study. What we need to do in order to maintain our clean and neat environment to our students? First, we will need to have giant garbage can around each corner. We cannot have fresh air because many factories have the poisonous smoke sent into the air. Beautiful parks are made dirty by plastic tins and bags. Fish die from the polluted water. It is said that strange diseases have appeared in some places because of pollution.

I hope scientists can find ways to solve the serious problem. We are looking forward to seeing the clear sky， clean rivers and beautiful parks again.

我们生活中用到的电池，它含有铅，如果把它随手乱扔，1节废电池可以使一平方米的土壤失去永远的利用价值。很多国家、很多地区都开展了废电池的回收。在德国，购买新电池的时候，必须将废旧电池交回来。所以，我们应该给给废电池找个“家”。我希望我们攀枝花的环保部门也设立废旧电池回收站。好好的保护土壤，让它可以永远长出庄稼。

节约一张纸、回收一节废旧电池……我们做的虽然是小事，但却为环保做了大贡献。我希望我的同学们从现在开始，都来做一个环保小卫士。地球只有一个，我们都要好好爱护它。

记得我们在课堂上学过:秋天是“秋高气爽”的日子，空气应该是最好的。可是最近这么多天，我们见到最多的却是灰蒙蒙的世界。一开始我开心，城市朦朦胧胧的“罩”在雾里头，好像是海市蜃楼，我觉得自己就像是进入了烟雾缭绕的蓬莱仙境。可是爸爸妈妈给我泼了一盆冷水，他们告诉我，这不是“晨雾”而是“雾霾”。

“雾霾”?我好奇地在网上查了一下这个新鲜的名词。原来，“雾霾”是雾和霾的组合词。但是雾和霾的区别十分大。雾是由大量悬浮在近地面空气中的微小水滴或冰晶组成的;而霾是由空气中的灰尘、硫酸、硝酸等组成的，它能使大气浑浊，视野模糊并导致能见度恶化。中国不少地区把阴霾天气现象并入雾一起作为灾害性天气预警预报。统称为“雾霾天气”，如遇雾霾天气，要做好防毒措施。汽车尾气、工业废气等是导致雾霾的罪魁祸首。

我不要做城市里的“吸尘器”。可我们现在有什么好的办法来“降雾驱霾”?我想我用孙悟空的“定身法”，让城市里的汽车都无法排放尾气;我想用铁扇公主的芭蕉扇，吹走城市上空的雾霾;我想用观音菩萨的“净瓶”，把空气里的粉尘洗干净;我想请龙王降一场大雨，把城市里的灰霾冲刷得干干净净!其实，最好的法宝是我们大家一起来呵护地球:减少开车，环保出行;减少污染，保护环境!
