就这样，这个城市失去了昔日的辉煌与灿烂。

我们生活在这个城市，就有责任保护它。这个城市原本应该在人们的保护下变得更加美好，越发辉煌，可是为什么会变成这个样子呢?都是因为人们不保护环境而造成的。我认为人们应该保护环境，在此我建议人们做出以下改善：

(一)像塑料袋等可以重复利用的化学物品，不要把它扔在地上，更不要把它们埋在土里。

(二)不要乱扔垃圾。把垃圾归类放好后放在相应的垃圾箱里。

(三)变废为宝。在我们生活中有许多废电池，可以把废电池汇集起来，送到生产厂，重新加工。使电池能够再次为我们做出贡献。同时也保护了环境，珍惜了资源。

(四)多弯腰。当我们弯起腰捡地上的垃圾时，心里一种自豪的情感油然而生，多做了一件好事，保护了环境。

(五)珍惜资源。我国人口已经超过十三亿，由于人口的剧增，促使人们为了生存不断向大自然索取，为了满足自身的需求而破坏环境。我们应该多栽树木，不要乱砍伐树木，保护生态环境更是刻不容缓。

尊敬的贵溪市环保局长：

您好！我是一位擂鼓岭梅园小区的小居民。

近来，因楼下的烧烤店、酒店随意污染环境、排放有害气体，搅的我们不得安宁。楼下一家中等规模的酒店，私自开设后门，还在我们进楼的平台占道洗菜、切菜。酒店还在走廊上搭了一个水池，肮脏不堪，遍地是油、落下来的一些辣椒什么的。

酒店的顾客大声喧闹，猜拳、笑叫声不绝于耳，不时地还扔下来一些垃圾、骨头。烟囱成了摆设，屡屡浓烟飘散在小区内。对面还有几家烧烤店，每当晚上，生意火爆，但我们擂鼓岭梅园的居民就遭殃了。

刺鼻的烧烤浓烟呛得人们咳嗽、流泪，过往的行人也纷纷捂着鼻子赶快避开。不仅如此，酒店的洗菜工也不讲卫生，乱扔垃圾，是我们的道路肮脏不堪。酒店还随意泼洒污水，灌木因经常被污水侵蚀，露出了枯黄。整个小区污水横流，垃圾遍地，满目苍夷。

这样的情况已经大大降低了小区居民们的生活质量，威胁到人们的身体健康。小区的居民们也曾经向您的局并请求处理，但石沉大海，毫无结果。再次，我想向您提出几点建议：

1、对酒店和烧烤店进行一些必要的惩罚措施，给他们点警告与教训；

2、将烟囱修复，每次排放浓烟先过滤一遍让他们懂得保护环境的重要性与紧迫性；

3、禁止酒店随意向小区泼洒污水，将污水处理后正确排放；

4、关闭酒店后门，在厨房里洗菜、切菜，不能占道洗菜，让酒店服务员在餐桌上放警示牌，提示顾客不要乱扔垃圾、大声喧哗；

5、设立酒店专用垃圾桶，将垃圾扔进桶里，不要随地乱扔。

此外，我还发现擂鼓岭许多小区也有类似的情况，无数的居民也在忍受着臭气熏天、肮脏不堪的折磨，生活苦不堪言。

希望环保局局长能在百忙之中抽空看看我的建议书，并根据我的建议对酒店、烧烤店进行妥善处理，换我们一个安静、干净、美丽的家园！

“真臭,真臭!这条死水沟越来越臭了,真受不了……”几个背着书包上学的孩子捂着鼻子路过小河边.

It is undeniable that the worsening environment has become the biggest concern of the present-day world. Land resources are dwindling because of water loss and soil erosion. Waste gases poison the air we breathe. The rivers and lakes are polluted by waste dumped in them from factories. It is probably no exaggeration to say that deterioration of the quality of the environment threatens the existence of mankind itself.

Some people are of the opinion that the environmental problem is the price we have to pay for economic development. But I do not think that this argument is valid. After all, what is the point of economic growth if peoples lives are adversely alfected by worsening environmental pollution?

There is plenty of evidence to show that sustainable development can be achieved by balancing economic growth with protection of the environment. The key to achieving this is to make people aware of the seriousness of the problem. Both governments and ordinary citizens should join hands to make this world a better place to live in, not only for ourselves, but also for future generations.

地球是人类的母亲，是生命的摇篮，从小到大爱护环境，保护环境之类的标语就经常回响在我们身边。

“保护环境，人人有责。”我相信这句话是我们耳熟能详的。诚想，假如我们每个人都没有爱护环境的意识，那我们地球母亲该是何等的伤心。

我是一个初二的学生，还记得，在上三年级的.时候。我和妈妈去逛街，我买了个零食，便随手把包装袋往地上一丢，就走了。在我不经意间转过头来，却看到了一个比我小的妹妹，估计才上个一年级，她蹲下来，将我刚才丢得包装袋捡了起来，轻轻丢到了垃圾箱里。我看见后心里很惭愧。心想：那个小女孩比我小，都知道保护环境，何况我还比她大都不知道保护环球。

自从那次幕发生后，我决定要当个环保小卫士，星期六、日和好朋友一起去公园里捡垃圾。我们来到公园后，发现人很多，大人、小孩、老人我们每个人手里都拿着一个袋子。一路上，只要我们发现有垃圾就会拿着手里的工具将垃圾捡起来，一路上，我总是能听到一些老人对我们看法说：“现在的孩子还知道保护环境，真是不错。”但也听到有一些青少年说：“竟然垃圾，也不嫌脏，不嫌臭的。”我们听后很生气，上前对那个青少年说：“我们从小要保护环境，少一份垃圾就多一份干净，倒少一份垃圾就多一份干净。”

那个青少年听后，低下头觉得很不好意思。我们还在续继我们的工作。时间，不知不觉过去了，我们也收工。这时，我们觉得腰很酸，腿好疼，手也很麻。我们拖着疲倦的身体还要将这些垃圾分类，将瓶子一个个找出来，送到废品回收站，而换来的钱也想捐给希望工程，这一天，我们几个都很累，但我们很开心，我们让这个地球多了一份干净，我们也知道保卫环境的重要性。

For the sake of our environment, for the sake of our life, I want people to throw garbage into the trash can, little cut down a tree much afforestation, try to go home for dinner. 环境对人类十分重要，可是有些人不爱护环境，也不知道环境对人类的重要性。

你看，许多人都不爱护环境，它们随地扔垃圾，有些人认为：一个垃圾算什么?可是积少成多，小区里最好看的地方成了垃圾站。有些人为了建房子挖山砍树，美丽的小山变成了沙漠和房子。有些人没时间做饭，就在外面快餐店买了饭一边走一边吃，吃完饭后他们还把一次性饭盒，一次性筷子丢在地上。有些人为了展示自己家里很有钱就开着跑车在路面上到处跑。他们没有意识到既污染环境又浪费能源。有些工厂将一些污水、浓烟排入江河和天空。

为了我们的环境，为了我们的生活，我希望人们可以把垃圾扔进垃圾桶，少砍树多造林，尽量回家吃饭。将废气废水引入地下，不要展示自己多么有钱，要注意节能减排。

Control Environmental Pollution

Today, as the development of the technology, people live a much better life than before, the average wage is promoted highly. The economy develops at the cost of polluting the environment, we can see the pollution everywhere, like the river water is dirty, the situation is so serious that we must take some action to control the environmental pollution. First, we should not throw away the rubbish, whenever we have rubbish at hand, we should keep the habit to throw it into the dustbin, sometimes the garbage can be recycled. Second, the government should make some measure to punish the industry which is not deal with the pollution well. With the government’s intervention, the businessmen will pay special attention to the pollution and dare not to ignore it. With the improvement of our living standard， more and more people can afford a car。 As a result， our roads are more often than not crammed with cars。 However， with more and more waste gas being discharged by the cars， the problem of air pollution bees even more serious。 So nowadays we advocate to lead a low-carbon life。
