那么何为灰霾？灰霾是导致近地面大气浑浊的多种空气污染物的混合体。构成灰霾的主要污染物是硝酸盐、硫酸盐、有机碳、元素碳、等固体细颗粒物（PM2.5）和臭氧()、二氧化氮（）、二氧化硫（）、挥发性有机物（）等气态污染物。灰霾往往与天然污染源的排放和二次污染污染物的形成有关，还与一定的气象条件和地形有关。我们现在最关注的同时也最难解决的室外污染物之一是可吸入颗粒物。可吸入颗粒物被分类为两种，直径小于2.5微米的颗粒物（PM2.5）和直径小于10微米的颗粒物（PM10）。虽然两种形式的颗粒物都对人类健康有极大的危害，PM2.5被普遍认为是更危险的，因为它的体积小，大约只有人类头发宽度的1/30。人们在呼吸时，PM2.5可以进入人类肺组织深处，甚至进入血液，造成严重的健康问题。同时更小的颗粒物在大气中可以有较长的停留时间。因此，PM2.5可以传播的更远，停留在空气的时间越长，影响更大的人口。PM2.5和PM10的主要来源包括机动车，电厂和其他工业源，以及生物质的燃烧。其中一个主要的来源是柴油为动力的车辆。这些污染源相结合，可以在城市或农村地区天空一片阴霾，而且往往发生在下午时段。

对于容易形成灰霾的城市,除了城市当地工业污染,汽车尾气的影响以外,特定的地形导致污染物的难以扩散也是灰霾形成的主要原因，像美国的洛杉矶,还有前面提到的受灰霾影响的北京和武汉都受到了地形的影响。洛杉矶市三面被群山包围，当地空气干燥，白天阳光充足。到了晚上，地表面冷却很快。地面附近的空气变冷，而上层空气都比较热，形成逆温。北京市位于华北平原的西北边缘，背靠太行山余脉和燕山山脉，面对辽阔的华北平原，东南距渤海约150公里, 地处暖温带半湿润地区，气候属于暖温带半湿润大陆性季风气候,四季分明，春季多风和沙尘，夏季炎热多雨，秋季晴朗干燥，冬季寒冷且大风猛烈。武汉市则居于内陆、距海洋远，周围地形如盆地，集热容易散热难，河湖多、晚上水汽多，城市热岛效应和伏旱时副高控制明显。通过比较以上3个城市的情况可以发现它们都是较大的工业城市，而且城市海拔较低，周围至少有一面是高地，都分布在低于南北纬50度的地方。这些地区夏季阳光明媚，天气温暖干燥。在城市的盆地地区，逆温现象十分普遍。夏季的阳光使地面温度升高，城市街道和建筑物迅速升温，与炎热的物体表面接触的空气温度升高。通过对流空气向上运动，但它却不能穿透逆温层，因为上面的空气温度更暖且密度更小。空气聚集，但连续的对流形成了垂直的循环，使空气完全混合在一起。从建筑物和汽车废气释放出的气体和颗粒也都聚集在逆温层下，通过对流把聚集的空气彻底混合。这样导致污染物无法快速扩散而聚集，大大增加了当地的污染物浓度。

灰霾问题不是一个暂时性的问题，相反它是一个长久的问题，从它如何形成，加剧到我们如何解决治理并消除都需要一段很长的时间。

汞污染

汞是唯一在常温下呈液体的金属元素。俗称朱砂。汞可溶于水，空气中。它巨大的毒性令人谈之色变。它主要来源于电池等物品。据统计1970~1979年全世界直接向水体排放的汞总量达1.6万吨！排向大气的汞量也达10万吨。当水中或空气中的汞浓度过高时，会导致树木枯死，人类患上因汞摄入过高引发的病症，如日本南部九州湾有一个叫水俣的小镇，这里居住着4万居民，以渔业为生。1939年开始，日本氮肥公司的合成醋酸厂开始生产氯乙烯，工厂的生产废水一直排放入水误湾。该公司在生产氯乙烯和醋酸乙烯时，使用了含汞的催化剂，使废水中含有大量的汞。这种汞在水体中，被水中的鱼食用，在鱼体内转化成有毒的甲基汞。人食用鱼后，汞在人体内聚集从而产生一种怪病：患者开始时，只是口齿不清，步履蹒跚，继而面部痴呆，全身麻木，耳聋眼瞎，最后变成神经失常，直至躬身狂叫而死。1972年据环境厅统计，水误镇共患水误病180人，死亡50多人，就在新线县阿赫野川亦发现100多水误病患者，8人死亡。据报到，患者人数远不止此，仅水误镇的受害居民，即达万余人。

1、比利时马斯河谷事件：1930年12月，比利时马斯河谷工业区，排放的工业有害气体和粉尘对人体造成重大影响，一周内近60人死亡，市民中得心脏病、肺病死亡率增高，家畜死亡率也大大增高。

3、美国多诺拉事件：1984年10月，美国宾夕法尼亚州多诺拉镇的二氧化硫及其氧化物，与大气粉尘结合，使大气严重污染，5911造成人暴病。

8、日本的爱知粮油事件：1963年3月，在日本的爱知县一带，由于对生产米糠油的管理不善，造成多氯联苯污染物混入米糠油，人们食用了这种被污染的油之后，造成13000多人中毒，数十万只鸡死亡的严重污染事件。

几周后，我把离家不远的几座小山作为“钱的源头”。

第二天，当第一缕阳光照射在大地上，远处山丘还沉浸在朦胧之中。我已经扛着磨得比纸还薄，用了斜面原理的斧头推着小车上山去了。

走在小道上，我心情好得不得了，心中只有红钞。现在就是牛粪摆在我面前，也会觉得比香水还香。

走到了小道尽头，点燃了一根香烟，稍作休息，心中充满了神圣感。

我选择了一棵相当粗壮的大树。

我起身，拿起斧头，一步一步地逼近大树。大树似乎变成了我的敌人。

似乎过了好几个小时，我来到大树前。如果这时刮起风，那便是腥风;如果这时下起雨，那便是血雨。

只见我左脚向前一步，斧头举过头顶，发力，砍!说时迟，那时快，斧刃把树干砍出了一条深深的伤痕。我费力地把其拔出，又是一砍!只听“刷”一声，大树被拦腰截断，远处一群鸟儿被巨响吓飞了。

我心中充满了喜悦，简直水泄不通。又有七八根树倒下，又有七八群鸟儿吓飞。我欣喜若狂。

正当我在砍第十棵时，一只啄木鸟从树上飞了下来，停在我头上，拼命啄，一边还自言自语：“这段木头里一定有虫……”

我被啄得皮开肉绽，把啄木鸟赶到了树上。

“你干什么?”我质问道，“坏我的好事。”

“是你在乱伐树!”啄木鸟应道。

“什么叫乱伐树?我这是为了生存呀!”

“你要生存，我们就不要生存啦?再说，没了树木，导致生态不平衡，你也活不成!”它气愤地说，“现在人们已经在保护树，还在植树。而你，却不为地球着想，地球的环境如果崩溃了，我们所有生物都活不成!环保是每一个人的责任呀!”

“哐啷!”我手中的斧头掉在地上，心中充满了羞愧，为自己的不负责任而羞愧。

现在，我已经老了，但环保没老。它，还是一样。以前，现在，都一样，永远是每一个人的责任。

随着科技的不断发展，汽车的不断增多，排放的废气已经造成了严重的污染，或许，几年后的子孙后代、几百年后的大家，或许会因为大气污染而死亡。现在，地球上每一年都有百分之二十的人因为饮用了受到污染的水而死亡，如果这样延续下去，地球在几万年后岂不是变得光秃秃、像月球一样了？

据科学家的统计，每一年，每一月都有百分之二十多的树木因为废气污染而枯萎。百分之八十多对我们有益的细菌死亡，大家或许会觉得很夸张，但这是事实。其次还有受到污染的废水、废气等。人类有错吗？

我多么希望大家能珍惜我们身边的每一个事物，每一只动物，每一只有益的细菌，因为，很有可能，在几万年后的今天，他们都没有了。

人类除了破坏森林之外，难道就没有什么破坏环境的问题了吗？不是这样的。现在我们应该看到水污染的严重性，目前世界上60%的地区面临供水不足，已有20%的人口难以得到清洁水，51%的人无法得到卫生用水。这是什么造成的呢？是我们人类自己造成的，现在的工厂及我们生活中的污水，没有通过处理就排出去。这不是最好的证明吗？据研究，每排放１立方米污水，就污染１４立方米天然水。想一想，这是多么可怕的数字？

在工厂排出的浓烟里，我们不知道浓烟是污染大气的吗？科学家发现，至少有100种大气污染物对环境产生极大危害，直接影响人们的健康。

我们的环境污染我们的环境污染我们现在的生活比以前好得多，但环境跟以前简直就不能比。以前的空气清香并掺和着花草的芳香，河水清澈见底.........而现在呢？汽车排出的废气和工业废气相当多，河水臭气直出.........我们大家为了过上好生活，都买汽车，但车主们有没有想过这样的量使用汽车的后果。有些地方之间的距离非常近，但车主们不想跑，就直接开汽车。假如一辆汽车一天排放一千克废气，那么中国每天大约有几千万辆汽车在行驶，那么一天就要排放几千万千克的废气。

这个数目仅显示一天一千克的废气排放量和仅计算中国的废气排放情况。工厂的污染更严重，水和空气都要被污染。大量的废水排入大海和河流之中，以致大量的鱼虾、水中植物死亡和大量的水资源被污染.........我们地球上的资源也在一天一天的减少。大量可回收的品中只有3％是被回收并再生的。许多白色垃圾造成了白色污染。我心中的家园是和以前差不多的，可是这是很难挽回的。为了我么大家共同生活了几千万年的蓝色星球?——地球的美好未来而努力吧！

The air we breath, the water we drink, the animals with us...We are engaged in building a harmonious relationship between the nature and we human beings.

As a supervisor of HSE management in an oil company, I can see the environmental protection in a different way.

In 1989, an oil tanker hit a rock off the northwest coast of Alaska. 35,000 tons of oil poured into the sea. The accident was one of the worst in history. More than 34,000 birds and 10,000 animals were killed. 4,800 square kilometers of ocean were polluted.

The poured oil long-time coverd the surface of ocean and the bodies of marine creatures.We call oil as "black gold",at that time, it turns out to be "black killer".When I saw the famous French film"The travelling birds", thousands of birds are stuck by black sticky oil and died in a few days,many species are no more exist. Ill never forget that sight-shocking scene.

Therefore, we ought to bound up environmental protection with industrial safty control.

Secondly, when oil tankers use ultrasonic waves to test underwater oil stocks, many whales sensing system is spoiled by the instant powerful ultrasonic bolt. Once they were hit by a ultrasonic bolt,they were almost deaf. They cant effectively respond dangerous surroundings around them and are liable to be reeled in the engine of oil tankers or be killed by whaler and other natural enemies.Thereby,we can see the quantity of whales declines very fast.

Its a shame that a great many oil companies havent even realized that. Highly attentions needs to be paid on to keep improving the exploring technology of drilling work on the sea.

All in all, Enviormental protection is an extremely wide subject, In my short essay I can hope at most to lift one small corner of that field and yet it is a critical corner

The environment has been polluted badly today and the nature punishes the

human being by all kinds of disasters, such as the heavy haze in Beijing, which

damages people’s health. World Environment Day is on June 5th. It pays attention

to call for the public to make an effort to bring the world a clean

environment.

Look at the pollution around us, which exists everywhere. The cars release

the gas which pollutes the air and the rubbish can be found in every corner of

the street. All of these daily incidents hurts the world we live. Especially the

factories, they release the heavy smoke and make the sky becomes dark. What’s

more, the wasted water flows to the clean river.

Though the government has made some action to punish the businessmen for

releasing the polluted sources, they still dare to take the risk of earning the

biggest profit. If we hurt the environment, it will hurt ourselves, because we

live together. The polluted environment threatens our health. If we want to live

the comfortable life, then the only way is to be nice to the environment.

Environmental problems are becoming more and more serious all over the world.For example,cars have made the air unhealthy for people to breathe and poisonous gas is given off by factories.Trees on the hills have been cut down and waste water is being poured continuously into rivers.Furthermore,wherever we go today,we can find rubbish carelessly disposed.Pollution is,in fact,threatening our existence.

The earth is our home and we have the duty to take care of it for ourselves and for our later generations.Fortunately,more and more people have realized these problems.Measures have been taken to cope with these problems by the government.Laws have been passed to stop pollution.I hope the problem will be solved in the near future and our home will become better and better.

It is reported that ten big cities in China are being ranked among the top twenty cities with the highest pollution index in the world. This means it is high time we did something to bring the situation under control.Many factors are contributing to the deteriorating situation: industrial wastes pumped into the air， the lakes and rivers; a increasing number of automobiles crowding into the streets; the widespread use of plastic bags etc.

To my view， stiffer laws and regulations must be implemented to check pollution. Industries that release wastes without permission should be heavily fined. Cars should be equipped to minimize the exhaust they release into the air. And the use of plastic bags and disposable meal boxes should be banned. What’s more， the media should play an important role in implanting a sense of environmental consciousness into people’s mind. If everybody works toward a common goal of making the environment better， we can create a cleaner and lovelier world for us and for the coming generation.

据报道,在中国十个大城市被排名前二十的城市污染指数最高的国家。这意味着是时候我们做了一件控制局势。许多因素导致恶化的形势:工业废物注入空气,湖泊和河流,越来越多的汽车涌入街头,塑料袋的广泛使用等。

就我看来,更严格的法律法规必须实现检查污染。释放废弃物未经许可的行业应该是严重的罚款。汽车应该配备最小化他们释放的废气到空气中。和使用塑料袋和一次性餐箱应被禁止。更重要的是,媒体应该发挥重要作用在植入的环境意识到人们的心灵。如果每个人都朝着一个共同的目标工作的环境更好,我们可以创造一个更清洁和更可爱的世界,为我们和未来的一代。

调查过程：我和妈妈来到了娱乐城，那里的湖面上有许多的垃圾，比如说：枯树叶、糖纸、瓜子皮等垃圾，散发着难闻的气味。

大路上也有不少的垃圾，有果皮、有烂袜子，还有小气球等垃圾，再加上汽车一辆一辆的开了过来，很容易撞到人，而且那汽车的噪音真是烦死人了，那散发出的烟味，热呼呼的，还有尾气，特别难闻，对空气的污染特别大。

公共厕所排出的粪便更是散发出难闻的气味，让人恶心。

再回想起原来的娱乐城，绿绿的草，红红的花，绿树成荫，多漂亮的景观呀，但是再想起现在的娱乐城，真是让人心酸，如果我们以前认真的保护环境，现在还会这样吗?

我们一定要爱护环境，不摘花、不摘草、不随地吐痰、不乱扔垃圾，从自己做起，以实际行动来保护环境，来爱护大自然。

The air pollution, noise pollution and water pollution are found on the newspaper everywhere.

It is obvious that we should do something to protect our earth. Because we have only one home.
