1、从孩子身边入手，从形象感知入手。先讲变形金钢也可以，讲孙悟空也可以，讲他们有变的本领，可以变大可以变小。然后告诉孩子，水也会变大变小，信不信？做实验吧，证实。说说，孙悟空变大变小是看自己心情，那水变大变小有什么条件？

2、是不是只有水有这些本领呢？老师带来许多水的朋友：酒、油、醋等。让孩子自行选取择一种或几种做实验证明。

3、然后，刚才会变的东西都有什么相同的地方？（液体）

4、你能给他们的本领取个名字吗？取名字得根据刚才的实验结果。最后统一称呼，有一个术语叫：热胀冷缩。

5、知道这一现象是谁发现的吗？你平时为什么就没有发现呢？身边还有其他东西也是热胀冷缩的，你知道是什么吗？科学就在身边，只要用心观察、思考，看，世界多有意思，自然课也多意思。我开篇用到的题目是苏轼的《题西林壁》。这首诗恰如其分地反应出当前教改中每一个人的困境。“教改”改什么？怎么改？谁能给出标准答案？正如我们看到的这堂课一样：是好是坏？谁又能定论呢？-------------一千个人眼里有一千个哈姆雷特。但是我们一定不能为改而改，甚至不惜弄虚作假。让学生做一个正直、诚实的人远比教会他多少知识更重要。
