Recently, I have been reading a book named Communication Arts. In this

book, the author Doctor Li introduces many methods to communicate with others

successfully and tells readers why everyone should be a polite person. My

favorite sentence in this book is “Everyone has potential, and everyone can

determine your own future by developing positive psychological, mastering

communication arts and showing your personality charm. In that way, you can have

a wonderful life!”

During whole sections, this book tells us human should live in a large

group, since people can’t solve all problems by their own. For that matter,

human beings should learn a series of manners to deal with any situation which

might happen wherever and whenever. After that, Doctor Li makes a point that

people need to realize how to resolve disagreements between friends, families or

colleagues. There always appears this kind of situation in social life, so it’s

important to understand how to settle it. Finally he teaches us that

communication techniques not only reflect in normal talk but also within body

languages.

In each part of the book, the author takes a large number of examples in

daily life to confirm his points. These examples in daily life are easy to

understand and accept.

After reading the book, I find many shortages of my communication skills. I

used to lack of patience when I talk to others, even got mad at them. This was

impolite and might destroy relationships between my friends and me. Therefore I

would try my best to improve myself and be welcome.

Wonderful life in winter holiday

From the sixteenth of January to the seventh of February is our Winter Holiday. I think everybody did a lot of things in the Winter Holiday. But I didn’t. Let you to listen to my story of Winter Holiday.

I spend a lot of time on the homework.. Every day in my Winter Holiday, I always got up late. then I listened to the tape, it was nine o’clock. then I ate breakfast and then I did my homework during the daytime! I’m not very slow but the homework was too heavy!

I’m unlucky on the playing too. I played firecracker but I hurt my finger with the fire. I ‘m careless to kindle the firecracker, so I’m very unlucky.

I still unlucky on my friend’s party. In the morning, I wanted to get up early but I woke up at 10:50. After ten minutes, the party would start! So I only eat a piece of bread then I go to my friend’s home! And I stay at his home for a long time when I came home. My mother and father were very angry and they scolded me!

I’m worried and feel unlucky on my weigh. Last term, I was 48 kilogram but now I am 51 kilogram! I must to do banting!

But most important, I have gone to Shanghai Ocean Aquarium, I want to go there very much because I want to see the horse, the monkey……in the sea. Now I’ve done it . It is a bright dot in my Winter Holiday.

二年级的第一个学期的班委选举赛事，前几天，老师就已经交代我们去准备发言稿了，可是因为我的粗心没认真听老师讲要求，没准备发言稿，当时，潘俊宇正专心致志地读者发言稿，而我却一直在补发言稿，过了一会儿，我怀着紧张、激动的心情来到了竞选台上，虽然我十分紧张，但是我还是顺利的把话讲完了，我们有19位同学竞选体育委员，大家就期待最后的结果了。经过一波一波的选举，终于选出了一名体育委员，他就是何泽昊。我落选了，我很失落，脑子一直在想：为什么选不上呢?突然，我听到了一句话“何泽昊你的体育真棒!”这时，我知道了选不上的原因，一个原因是我没有认真准备好，才会选不上的。另一个原因是因为我很少获得跑步前三名，可能在体育方面我还不出色。可是我没有放弃机会，我准备在下次竞选中更加努力，准备在下次竞选中听到这样一句话：“杨程杰是体育之星。”

我真期盼在下一次的竞选中我在台上发言时有更勇敢更出色的表现。

There are many television programs in Taiwan today, from TV aeries, quiz shows, soap operas, movies to cartoons. Of all the programs, I like to watch cartoons the best, like Cartoon network, Disney and many others. I like to watch cartoons because they are funny and very interesting, especially when I am sad, tired or bored. I also like cartoon characters. they are so cute and vivid. We must use our imagination when we watch cartoons. Because they are often exaggerated, so you need to have a sense of humor.

Mr Qin is our history teacher. He has a wonderful name Qin Han. He is over fifty now, and he is in good health. He likes history. The traffic problem is one of themost serious problems in my hometown. Recently, more and more people have privatecar, but the roads are so narrow that we have to fight against the heavytraffic when we go out. Especially during the rush hours, cars and buses areunable to move. To make things worse, many people are killed in the trafficaccidents. How miserable it is!

人生就像一条路，有笔直的时候，也有弯曲的时候。每当回忆起这条路的时候，总会想起我的一次失败经历。它就像是一部电影一样，在我的脑海里不断地上映着，给我的人生一次教训。

还清晰地记得那是在初三上学期一次重要的期末统考中，我失利了，败得很惨，几乎全军覆没。并且我因此要降到普通班学习一个月。我不仅为我的成绩感到悲伤，更为要降到普通班而自尊心受到强烈的打击。

望着试卷上一个个刺眼的大大的“x”号，我的心像被刀刺一样痛。泪水像断了线的珠子止不住地滴落下来，模糊了我的视线，也冲淡了那刺眼的“x”号。

渐渐地，“雨过天晴”，看着被泪水淹的不成样子的试卷，我开始冷静下来，到底是什么原因导致这种惨状呢?我拿出试卷仔细分析出错的原因，渐渐发现主要是三个方面的问题：第一，基础知识掌握不牢固，有许多概念都模糊不清;第二，对知识的综合运用能力很薄弱;第三，做题不仔细、马虎，导致会做的题做错了。

考试时我的心紧张极了，生怕考得不好。考完试后，我怀着充满信心又忐忑不安的心态等待着考试成绩的到来。到了发试卷的时候了，我屏住呼吸，等待着，我的心怦怦地跳着，就像装了十几只兔子。终于三门课的成绩都报完了!经过我几个星期的努力，我的成绩总算没有那么差了，可是我也十分不满意，因为我的语文成绩和科学成绩没有达到我理想中的目标。

Disappointed at my study results, I didn’t want to go to school any longer. I found a temporary job during my summer vacation. Because I was poor in knowledge, the manager only asked me to deliver newspapers from house to house.
