A dog fits easily into family life. It thrives on praise and affection. When a master tells a dog that it is good, the animal happily wags its tail. But when a master scolds a dog, it skulks away with a sheepish look and with its tail tucked between its legs.

People in the city as well as those in other areas can enjoy a dog. Medium-size or small dogs are best suited for the confines of the city. Large dogs need considerable exercise over a large area.

They have delivered messages, herded sheep and cattle, and even rescued persons trapped in the snow. Dogs have served as a source of food, too. The ancient Romans are said to have prized certain kinds of dog stew. The Aztecs of ancient Mexico raised tiny dogs, thought to be the forebears of the chihuahua, to feed the large carnivores in the private zoos of the Aztec rulers. In the past dogs have even been worshiped as gods. Recently, they have been used in drug research, medical experimentation, and space science. Dogs are trained as guard dogs in peacetime by the United States Army and other military services. To protect animals, everyone duty!

我们要保护小动物，特别是小鸡这类弱小的动物，因为小鸡早晨可以叫我们起床，可以生一个又一个圆圆的的鸡蛋，还可以提供鸡肉给我们吃。

有一次，我和妈妈上菜市场，听见一位老奶奶在喊：“卖鸡了，今天的鸡又肥又嫩!”妈妈说：“今天，我们买一只鸡回家，炖汤喝。”我说：“好吧。”可又想了想：如果我们吃了鸡，那么就吃不到鸡蛋了，就对妈妈说：“不行，吃了鸡就没有鸡蛋吃了。”“傻孩子，你瞎操什么心啊!”妈妈不由分说地把我拉到卖鸡的那边。卖鸡的老奶奶正在杀鸡，只见她拔下鸡脖子上的毛，拿刀用力地在鸡脖子上划了几下。血喷向了四周，鸡挣扎了几下就死了。“太残忍了，我不要吃鸡!”我向妈妈大声的抗议。“好吧，不买了，我们就去买点蔬菜吧。”也许妈妈也觉得残忍，就同意了。

假如我们的生活中没有了动物，世界就会变得很孤独。我们要保护动物，从自身做起：少吃肉类食品，少穿皮衣毛衣;看见别人欺负动物，要勇敢地站出来劝说他们。

动物是人类的朋友，是地球大家庭的一员，是大自然生态圈的重要组成部分。保护发展和合理利用动物资源，对于维护生态平衡，改善自然环境，促进人与自然的和谐，保持生物多样性，和经济社会全面持续可协调发展有着非常重要的意义。

历史以来，我县是一个动物资源比较丰富的地区。由于错误观念的误导，人们保护动物的意识不强。非法捕猎、贩卖、食用动物的现象时有发生，这些现象的存在严重损害了资溪的文明形象，与当今世界倡导的绿色消费、文明生活的主流格格不入。党的十八大提出：在建设中国特色社会主义的宏伟事业中，要加强生态文明建设，我们要贯彻落实好党的十八大精神，提高全县人民动物保护意识，为建设生态、文明、幸福资溪作出积极贡献。为此，我们郑重的向全县人民发出倡议：

从现在起，在全县范围内发起保护拒吃动物的全民行动，并长期坚持下去!

坚决反对落后、野蛮、残酷的消费陋习，提倡健康、环保、文明的生活消费方式!

坚决不捕杀保护动物!

坚决不吃保护动物!

坚决不参与非法买卖保护动物!

勇敢举报违反保护动物法规的行为!

百虎围村，这场惊心动魄的人与野兽的博弈结果如何？带着好奇我翻开了《百虎围村》这本书。愚昧的村民为了改善生活肆意破坏森林、打猎打虎，终于在一次捕捉了虎崽后彻底激怒了老虎们——百虎围村。村民们失去了所有牲畜，而老虎们也遭受了灭顶捕杀，野生华南虎从此杳无踪迹。

带着对百虎围村夺幼崽的敬佩和对华南虎几近灭绝的惋惜，我继续阅读，一个个惊险感人的动物故事跃然纸上：雄林麝为救妻子奋不顾身；兔狲屡战恶人报恩少女；丛林猫护子心切智杀蟒蛇……

大开眼界的同时我被深深地震撼了：动物是充满灵性的，它们有情有义、机智勇敢、爱憎分明，丝毫不比自诩为“高级灵长类动物”的人类逊色。当人类爱护它们时，它们会涌泉相报；然而当人类为了一己私欲不给它们留活路时，它们也不会给人类留活路。我不禁想起了林肯的话——“我对人权和动物权益一样重视，这也应是全体人类该有的共识。”我希望越来越多的人能够敬畏自然、保护动物，我相信如果我们与自然和平共处，大自然也会毫不吝啬地馈赠我们。

星期日早上一家人刚刚吃完饭，爸爸说：“儿子咱们去钓鱼吧。”儿子回答道：“小鱼也是一条生命呀，我怎么能伤害他呢？”“没事儿，世界上的鱼，到处都是伤害一条而已。”爸爸说着。儿子拿爸爸没有办法，只好跟着爸爸去钓鱼。

爸爸和儿子来到河边，爸爸坐在床头，嘴里叼了根烟，闭上眼睛悠闲地坐在船头等鱼儿上钩，而儿子呢，非常着急，他一定要想一个办法阻止爸爸伤害小鱼儿，儿子眼珠子咕噜一转，想出了一个办法来，他掏出一张纸拿起笔，来写信。

爸爸仍然在等待儿子的信，写完了，他马上跳下了河，游到鱼钩旁，把信从脖子上摘下来，儿子眼看鱼儿就要被爸爸钓上来，他手忙脚乱地把信挂上去，儿子把鱼钩拽了一下，又以迅雷不及掩耳之速游了上来，爸爸感觉到鱼钩往下沉了一下，立刻睁大眼睛喊道：“儿子，咱们有鱼吃了，猜猜，你长什么样呢？”儿子在心里头哈哈大笑。可爸爸钓上来发现，是一张纸。爸爸把纸条展开上面写着，今天我们不，想来，敬礼，鱼儿！

爸爸很快就认出这是儿子的字迹，爸爸才明白儿子的用意，从此爸爸再也不伤害动物了，儿子高兴极了。

动物是人类的朋友，我们应该保护它们。

壁虎是我们的好朋友，你可千万别小瞧它，如果你因为它不起眼就小瞧它，甚至有些人嫌它讨厌就把它赶走、杀死它，那么你就大错特错了，因为它能飞檐走壁吃掉害虫。你有没有想过如果你伤害它们的话，你的周围会有更多的小虫。所以，我们要爱护壁虎！

小狗也是人类的好朋友，它总能在我们孤独寂寞时，露出它那可爱的小脸逗我们开心，陪伴我们；它还能帮我们看守门户，保护我们的财产安全；它是警察叔叔的得力助手，能协助破案揪出坏蛋；小狗还是盲人的好帮手，保障他们的出行安全。

还有人为了能穿上狐皮大衣而捕杀狐狸；为了摆阔，而猎杀大象获取象牙。人们啊！快快停止这些可怕的行为吧！如果有一天，世界上没有了动物，我们会多孤独啊！地球会多冷清啊！让我们一起保护动物吧！

In the past, there have been many endangered animals. Now they are extinct. Does it matter? Has our environment been affected by their absence? Has the quality of our own life been changed? The answer to these questions is “Yes.”

Yes. It does matter if we destroy an endangered species habitat to develop more farmland, housing or industrial parks. There is a delicate balance of nature. If one small part is removed, it will effect all the other parts.

For example, if certain trees are cut down, bats will have no place to roost. If they cannot roost, they cannot breed. If there are no bats, there will be no animal, or bird to eat certain insects that plague our crops.

Yes. Our environment has been affected by the absence of certain animals. Certain flowers are pollinated by butterflies, which migrate from Canada to Mexico.

Some of the breeding grounds of these butterflies were destroyed. Now these flowers are disappearing from certain areas. We will no longer be able to enjoy their beauty.

Yes. The quality of our life has been changed America used to be covered with giant trees. Now we have to visit them in one small park.

Rain forests around the world are being cut down to make room for humans. We will never be able to see or study this fragile ecosystem.

I would encourage us humans to look for other alternatives for our farmlands, housing, and industries. We have alternatives; the animals do not.

在人和动物在大自然面前是平等的，这种思想不是每个人都会有，因而虐待小动物的现象却时有发生。而你知道么，人类的祖先就是从这些毫不起眼的小动物演变来的。因此我们原本和这些小动物们是一家，一家人就应该其乐融融，互相帮助，帮助那些在外流浪的小猫小狗。既然这样那我们又何必自相残杀呢！动物是人类的好朋友，我们为什么要伤害它呢？就拿下面这件事来说吧！

在一个风和日丽的午后，我和洋洋还有几位好朋友一起去老林子里探险，一到那里就在一座山洞里发现了一只被被褥包裹起来的一个像娃娃一样的东西，叫大人过来一看，哇！是一只已经面目全非的小狗，白色的绒毛下有几道深深的疤痕，好像是被人殴打过一样，拿鞭子抽过，脖子上还有一道肋痕。狗毛零零散散的铺在草坪上，看着特别让人心痛。

回家后，我想了很多：有些人只会当打着保护动物的招牌的冷面杀手，他们不会站在小动物的立场上来想，只会顾自己的快乐，把自己的快乐建立在别人的痛苦之上，这几年有人大肆捕捞鲨鱼，只为一碗昂贵的鱼翅汤和一件鲨鱼皮泳衣。只要自己快乐，别的一切事情好像都与自己无关。小动物也是有生命的，别看那些海洋和陆地杀手，它和人一样都需要得到关爱。如果地球上没有动物，那将会是一个没有活力的世界。就好比我们只能看到一望无际的蓝天，而看不到空中形态各异的白云一样乏味。所以让我们都来保护动物吧，这样我们的家园才会变得更美好！

有一天，我在路上遇到一只小狗。这只小狗很可爱，圆圆的脑袋，圆溜溜的眼睛，小小的身子，可是它的身上到处都是伤，青一块、紫一块的，原来这是一只受了伤的小狗。小狗摇了摇尾巴，趴在地上，一副忧伤的样子，好像在说：“小朋友，我的主人不要我了，说我太脏太调皮，把我赶出了家，我现在成了一只脏兮兮的流浪狗了。你能收留我吗?”我看着这只流浪狗，心里很不是滋味，决定把它带回家。心里想：妈妈看到我把一只这么脏的小狗带回家，会不会不让小狗进我家呢?可是又不能让小狗待在这里，这里这么危险，到处都是人群、汽车，万一小狗出了事故，后果可不堪设想啊!我还是决定把小狗带回家，它毕竟是小动物，我们要保护它呀!于是我不想那么多，把它先带回家再说吧!

一进家门，妈妈又开始唠叨了。她可是个很爱干净的人哪，见我抱回一只这么脏兮兮的小狗，生气地说：“哪来的脏兮兮的小狗，有没有疾病，快点把它抱出去!”“不要嘛，妈妈，求求您了，它这么可怜，身上这么多的伤疤，一定很疼的，我们就收留它吧!”一旁的小狗也能听懂我们的对话似的，低着头好像在说：“求求你们好心人，收留我吧!”。妈妈拿我没办法只好答应了。我喜出望外，把小狗抱起来直打圈，妈妈见我这么爱小动物，也笑眯眯的笑了。于是我和妈妈去楼下防疫中心给狗狗打了疫苗针。我还给小狗洗了澡，给它吃了甜甜的小点心，它开心地摇摇尾巴，好像在说：“谢谢你，我的新主人。”我还给它起了个名字叫“亮亮”，因为它洗完澡之后就变得漂亮起来了，所以叫“亮亮”。

我心想：如果全世界的人都能保护小动物，不让小动物受到伤害，那该有多好啊!
