到了腊月二十三，俗称小年，这是灶王爷爷回天上的日子。听说这一天灶王爷爷回到上天后会向玉皇大帝汇报这一家人在这一年的善行或恶行，让玉皇大帝赏罚。因此，这一天人们会宰鸡或鹅，会放一些薄饼、糖果、酒、茶来供奉灶王爷爷，特别会做一些甜的油糍来供奉灶王爷爷。听说灶王爷爷特别喜欢吃甜的，人们用甜品涂在灶王爷的嘴上，好让灶王爷爷向玉皇大帝多美言几句，祈求在新的一年里风调雨顺、万事如意。

大年初一和除夕有所不同，一大早，父母去拜财神，放鞭炮，孩子们在这一天会特别高兴。因为可以尽兴地吃糖果，更开心的当然还是去给长辈拜年、讨红包，晚上还可以看到漂亮的烟花了。初二，我们都会去拜访亲戚。

正月十五元宵节到了，这是非常热闹的一天，家乡县城——德庆会举办隆重的闹元宵活动。今年爸爸妈妈还带着我去闹元宵，那一天县城会举行花车巡游，炮竹攻狮子，元宵晚会，烟花晚会等活动，人山人海，热闹非凡。

到了正月十六，家里再次杀鸡宰鹅供奉天神以结束春节。大人们纷纷回去工作，小孩也开始上学了。家乡的春节就是这样，热热闹闹，重要的是家人健康团聚，希望新的一年马到成功。
