Mothers Day Mother’s Day is a holiday when children honor their mothers with

富勒博士曾经画过一张世界地图，不是我们一般看过的普通的地图，这张地图上的每个部位都是三角形的，画出来的地图很像一个外层空间的太空站，所以我们又把它称之为外层空间地球。虽然地图上所有的角落都是尖的，可是当我们把这个完全尖的地图向后仰合在一起的时候，它们竟然组成了一个完整无缺的球体——那些最尖锐对立的三角形竟然拼成了最圆满的圆形。这幅地图告诉了我们，在我们眼中尖锐、对立、冲突的世界，实际上的本质是关联的、契合的、圆融的。地球以它本身的形态向我们证明了一个最重要的，但却被许多人忽视了的真理：竞争总是与合作并存，越是竞争激烈，越需要相互的合作，合作是人类未来前进的必然方向。

为什么竞争总是与合作并存?因为自然的法则就是给每一个生命以生存的机会，反映在人类社会中，就是每一个人、每一个企业、每一个行业都有自己独有的优势和能力，都在努力争取成功的机会。在这种情况下，将各方的资源和优势整合在一起，避免竞争中的无谓的消耗，通过合作实现双赢或共赢的局面，是最智慧的做法，也是一种必然的选择。

以出租车公司为例，所有这些公司相互之间必然存在着竞争，但在竞争之前，它们首先要达成某些合作。例如确定一个共同的起步的价格，每家公司、每个人都必须遵守，这样就避免了相互间的砍价、削价竞争。然后再在此基础上凭借各自的良好的技术和服务来竞争，形成一个良性竞争的状态。而如果出租车没有一个统一的起步价格，都是自己随便定的话，许多人可能因为要抢生意而降低自己的利润，甚至损人不利己，很容易导入恶性竞争状态。其中很多人往往得不偿失，最后变成血本无归。 同样的道理适用于我们这个社会的各行各业。在人类共有的这个生存环境中，资源是有限的和共享的，所以竞争是不可避免的。竞争可以激发各方的智慧和潜力，是人类进步的动力之一。但竞争并不排斥合作，一味的竞争可能会导致竞争中的各方无谓的损耗，将竞争与合作相结合，在竞争中获得提高，在合作中实现共赢共存，才是作为社会性动物的人的生存之道。

随着经济的迅猛发展，个人之间、群体之间的竞争都呈现越来越激烈的态势，但与此同时，人们对合作的要求越来越多，合作也越来越紧密。既竞争又合作，在竞争中合作，通过竞争与合作共同发展，成为我们这个时代的特点，所以我们说，这是一个新的竞合时代。所有的行业工会都是既对立又合作的——为了行业的共同的利益首先必须合作，在共同的权益获得确保之后，再在这个领域里面做各自的发挥，在竞争中谋取自我利益的最大化。而这个竞争的过程，同时仍是与不同层面的合作的过程，因为只有合作才能使各方的资源得到最有效的利用，使每一方都最大程度地实现自己的目标，创造更大的财富。

因此，要想在这个时代胜出，我们就要随时保持这种竞合的态度。世界是无比丰富而复杂的，没有人能够拥有占有一切资源的能力，同时每个人都各有所长，每个企业都有各自独具的优势，通过合作达到资源整合、优势互补，使各方的力量都能够达到最充分的发挥，由此而实现效益的最大化，才是人类整体实现长足发展的正确道路。

Cooperation and Competition

Which is more important in life, cooperating with others, or selecting competition? The answer may vary from person to person. For many people, to work with other people can increase working efficiency. They can also improve their ability of communication through the teamwork. However, large numbers of people do not agree. They like working alone and competing with others. In my opinion, I think cooperation is more important than competition in modern life.

It is true that the modern society is a highly competitive society, but it also needs social cooperation. It helps bring individual abilities into full play and makes up for each other’s inadequacy. As an old saying goes, “Two heads are better than one.” Cooperation is especially necessary because we can not achieve anything if there are only competition and no cooperation in many cases. So if we are good at cooperating, we will be able to figure out a way to success more easily.

What about the competition? Competition helps enhance individual abilities. It makes people creative. Without competition, people would create nothing. They would feel satisfied with their present condition. Competition is beneficial to the society to discover best use of talents. However, it has some disadvantages.

Competition easily causes deterioration of interpersonal relationship. It makes people more selfish and narrow. Also many people

feel pressure under competition and do not know what to do.

Apart from these, cooperation and competition are both essential to people. They are equally necessary for a person to achieve success in his or her future life. But I prefer cooperation to competition in daily life.

排队与竞争

在这个竞争激烈，甚至弱肉强食的社会里为了分出高下，排队是难免的。

上至国与国之间综合实力的排队，下至一个班级成绩的排队都是竞争的结果。

没有竞争何来排队?没有排队竞争有何意义?竞争是残酷的，排队是现实的，想在排队中挤到前列，想在竞争中出类拔萃，其实并不简单。

庄子曾说：“水之积也不厚，则其负大舟也无力，风之积也不厚，则其负大翼也无力。”没有厚积，哪来薄发?想要有强大的竞争力，想要在排队中力争好名次，实力起决定作用。

一国综合国力要靠雄厚的经济实力作后盾，一个人要出人头地必须要用知识来武装。

其次，在残酷的竞争中要保持良好的思想状态，胜不骄，则不馁，才能稳住队伍中的位置。

倘若一个人心浮气燥，胡搞蛮干，即使偶尔一次冲到前列也注定会从云端掉进深渊，名次一落千丈不说，这大起大落也必定令人难以承受，以致难以翻身。

诚然，每个人都免不了要排队，也免不了想在队列中得个好名次。

有谁甘心在排伍之末打滚，遭人奚落，受人冷眼?但并不是所有人都接受竞争。

试想若无竞争，个人怎会有前进的动力?社会怎么会有发展?竞争是无情的，但又是积极的。

成功的人都喜欢挑战，都陶醉于竞争，遇强愈喜，在竞争中打造成功，磨炼自己。

这样的人在排队中怎能不占优势?怎么不傲视群雄?那些碌碌无为，安于现状的人只好在队末打滚，讨厌排队，更讨厌竞争，则必定要遭淘汰了。

排队意味着竞争，竞争必然导致成功或被淘汰。

接受排队就是接受现实，接受必须要吃苦，“生于忧患，死于安乐。”“吃得苦中苦，方为人上人，”无数名言警句揭示着同一个道理竞争虽苦，苦尽甘来。

经过一番努力，在排队中名列前茅，受人敬佩，那成功的喜悦是无法用词来形容的，在竞争中所吃的苦全都可以忽略不计。

但可叹的是，并不是所有人都能承受这甘甜前的苦，只是沉迷于一时的享乐，毁了自己，实是可悲。

排队之中有竞争，竞争之中有排队。

竞争与排队是一回事。

关键在于是否能够把握住自己，披荆斩棘，走向队伍的领头，走向成功。
