When it comes to competition and cooperation, some people always emphasize competition but neglect cooperation.

Their reasons run as following: to begin with, they believe only competition can help them defeat their counterparts; in addition, they think competition is the only way to lead to success.

of no account with great thoughts, which are as fresh today as when they first

passed through their author’s minds, ages ago. What was then said and thought

still speaks to us as vividly as ever from the printed page. The only effect of

time have been to sift out the bad products; for nothing in literature can long

survive e but what is really good.

Books introduce us into the best society; they bring us into the presence

of the greatest minds that have ever lived. We hear what they said and did; we

see the as if they were really alive; we sympathize with them, enjoy with them,

grieve with them; their experience becomes ours, and we feel as if we were in a

measure actors with them in the scenes which they describe.

The great and good do not die, even in this world. Embalmed in books, their

spirits walk abroad. The book is a living voice. It is an intellect to which on

伟大的思想家马克思，他潜心研究推翻资本主义，使人类进去一个更理想的社会，但着仅他一个人是不够的，另一个叫拂里德里希。恩格斯得人帮助他和他一起研究这种理论，并且称之为“科学社会主义”。他们的这种成功不就是合作而完成的吗?如果是一个人，或就没有如此大得逞就。

一个美国成功人士说过：“没有永远的朋友，也没有永远的敌人。”着句话说的没错。秒年个个很要好的朋友，很可能在某些因素下成为敌人，毕竟金钱，名利的诱惑是很大的，我们不能保证人都能对朋友忠诚。更有可能，着只是外表的朋友。敌人也是一样的，我们么有永远的敌人，就像棉队中考，考场上，我们都是竞争的对手，谁也不会因为什么关系而放弃自己的学业。但是，在平常学习中，我们一起学习，互相帮助，着就是朋友是合作，我们没有选择的余地。生活在这个社会里，生下来就要竞争，只有强者才能生存，着也告诉我们一个道理，忽然做给了我们内充分的准备，竞争给了我们表现的机会。我们要合作也要竟镇，要成为双赢的群体，只有这样，我们才能声错，才有竞争的资格。

竞争与合作看似很遥远，其实它们是紧密项链的，我们要在竞争中寻求合作，在合作中竞争。人不是万能的，如果兔子背着乌龟跑，乌龟背兔子过河，那这个成果就不仅仅是乌龟兔子任何一个成绩这样简单了。也就是说，我们要把自己的短处与别人的长处相结合，别人的短处用自己的优势去弥补，这样，我们就真的做到了双赢!

The Scandinavian countries are much admired all over the world for their enlightened social policies. Sweden has evolved an excellent system for protecting the individual citizen from high-handed or incompetent public officers. The system has worked so well, that it has been adopted in other countries too.

The Swedes were the first to recognize that public officials like civil servants, police officers, health inspectors or tax-collectors can make mistakes or act over-zealously in the belief that they are serving the public. As long ago as 1809, the Swedish Parliament introduced a scheme to safeguard the interest of the individual. A parliamentary committee representing all political parties appoints a person who is suitably qualified to investigate private grievances against the State. The official title of the person is Justiteombudsman, but the Swedes commonly refer to him as the J. O. or Ombudsman. The Ombudsman is not subject to political pressure. He investigates complaints large and small that come to him from all levels of society. As complaints must be made in writing, the Ombudsman receives an average of 1, 200 letters a year. He has eight lawyer assistants to help him and he examines every single letter in detail. There is nothing secretive about the Ombudsmans work, for his correspondence is open to public inspection. If a citizens complaint is justified, the Ombudsman will act on his behalf. The action he takes varies according to the nature of the complaint. He may gently reprimand an official or even suggest to parliament that a law be altered. The following case is a typical example of the Ombudsmans work.

A foreigner living in a Swedish village wrote to the Ombudsman complaining that he had been ill-treated by the police, simply because he was a foreigner. The Ombudsman immediately wrote to the Chief of Police in the district asking him to send a record of the case. There was nothing in tthe record to show that the foreigners complaint was justified and the Chief of Police strongly denied the accusation. It was impossible for the Ombudsman to take action, but when he received a similar complaint from another foreigner in the same village, he immediately sent one of his lawyers to investigate the matter. The lawyer ascertained that a policeman had indeed dealt roughly with foreigners on several occasions. The fact that the policeman was prejudiced against foreigners could not be recorded in the official files. It was only possible for the Ombudsman to find this out by sending one of his representatives to check the facts. The policeman in question was severely reprimanded and was informed that if any further complaints were lodged against him, he would be prosecuted. The Ombudsmans prompt action at once put an end to an unpleasant practice which might have gone unnoticed.

合作，必须理解对方的需求，原则底线，优势劣势，知彼知己，求得共同利益上的契合点，达成行动上的一致性，才能为共赢提供可靠保证。材料中两学生彼此都想平安过桥，取得成功。而囿于独木所限，只有心照不宣，手脚并用，拥抱转体，才有可能。否则怒目相向，拳脚相加，或趁其不备，突然偷袭，都不会有如此圆满结果。

合作共赢，是热爱生活，积极向上，拥抱人生，创建和谐社会、和谐世界的正能量。合作双赢要有高瞻远瞩的战略眼光，求同存异、海纳百川的广阔胸怀，实事求是、求真务实，与人为善、济人之困，成人之美、积极用世的生活态度。抗战时期的国共合作，前时江苏女三耀荧屏的故事，就是最有说服力的明证。那种口是心非、欺世盗名的伪君子、蛮霸头，那种凌驾公法、原则之上的野心家、黑老大、独行侠、霸权枭雄，向来老子天下第一，唯我独尊，唯我独荣，我行我素。有的是利益诱惑，圈套绞索，你死我活。有的是蔑视、劫掠、虐杀、宰割，根本不可能施以善意、真诚合作，追求多方共赢、文明进步成果。

当前，社会转型，生活多元化，经济一体化，交流全球化，矛盾百出，纠纷迭呈，但五大洲、各地区，和平发展，科学进步，延续文明，乃全人类走向民主平等、繁荣富强利益诉求、共同主题。唯有倡导合作、坚持合作，才能促成双赢、多赢。我们生活的世界才会越来越美好！

星期一的语文课上，老师让我们以《张衡传》为题，四人合作出一套古文题，三天后交稿。星期二，距交稿还有三天。

合作，合作，老师每次布置都说“合作”，但每个成功的范例都在考场上。这次合作不在“天时地利”，恐难成功。我们小组的四人一“相聚”，肖便嚷了起来：“哎呀，这么艰巨的工作还是吴来干，我在一边做指导。”“不不不，让马干，她语文好，字写得又漂亮，我嘛，在后面指导肖，并给予你们以精神上的支持。”“我更不行了，还是你来。”“不不，你来!”“你来，你来!”“啊——”我头都快炸了。“每次都推三阻四的，不如这样，这次我们每人都出题，谁也别偷懒，然后，我们选一份最好的交上去。”大家点头默许了。

“但……谁来当组长呢?”大家都沉默了。没想到我们竟遇上了比出题还困难的时刻。当上小组长好啊，不但可以坐在那儿什么事都不干，还可以理直气壮地指挥人，事做成了，还有老师表扬，这等好事谁不想?当上组长的不负责任，当不上组长的更不想负责。“我不当，还是你们三个中选一个吧。”“干吗?”“这次我觉得我们真正合作了一次，我做的工作与你们

比起来真是微不足道。我只想做好自己该做的事，可不想最后的时候闹出不愉快来。”“是啊，这事不说我都忘了，算了，我也不争了。”马也退了下来。“就是嘛，组长有什么好争的。”我与肖都笑了起来。“合作就是合作，大家各负其责，各尽其职。我们要的是默契，而不是组长。”

“哗——”一支圆珠笔飞快地在纸上划过。署谁的名，已经无关紧要。
