Low-carbon life is good for everyone.

To help with the environment, I always walk or ride a bike to school

instead of taking a car. Besides, I will try to use things that can be recycled

and I never forget to turn off the lights when I leave the classroom. I think

it’s my duty to live a low-carbon life. And even the simplest activities can

make a real difference to the environment. So I suggest we should reuse books as

long as possible. And we’d better not spend much money on expensive clothes.

If everyone does something for the environment, I believe the earth will be

a better place.

很久以前，有两个饥饿的年轻人同时遇到一位老人，老人有一筐鱼和一支鱼竿，让两位年轻人各选一样，一个人选了一筐鱼，另一个选了一支鱼竿，然后各奔东西了，选择鱼竿的年轻人一心想到大海去钓鱼，可是路途遥远，在途中饿死了，另一个年轻人无所事事，鱼吃完便饿死了。后来，又有两个尽力疲惫的年轻人遇到了这位老人，他们也各自选了一样物品，不同的是，他们一起去前往大海，途中，他们饿了，就吃那筐鱼，不知过了多久，他们同时到了大海，靠着那着鱼竿，过上了有鱼的幸福生活。

这则通俗的故事，我想大家会有所感悟吧!两位年轻人之间的相互合作使他们生存了下来。

除了合作，竞争也是十分重要的，接下来我再说一下这个故事的后篇。

成为渔民的两个年轻人，经过努力，有了自己的渔船。他们早上出海捕鱼，黄昏时伴着大海醉人的脸庞归航，不知不觉，两人暗地里交上了劲，为了使自己捕获的鱼比对方的更多更大，两人都更加勤奋，天还不亮就出海捕鱼，伴晚归航时，小船都装满了鱼。在这种竞争的关系中日复一日，两人的生活更加富裕，日子更加幸福。

由这个故事的后篇，可以发现，竞争是向上的不竭动力。

在当今世界，一个人要想成功，必须要有合作与合作的竞争。自己要通过与别人的竞争不断增强自己的能力，使自己变得强大起来，同时还要积极与别人合作，共同进步。想必大家都知一根筷子很容易折断吧，但是五根呢?十根呢?其实，如果一根筷子质量好的话也就不容易折断了，而这好的质量来源于哪里呢?来源于个筷子厂的相互竞争，而刚才说的五根，十根的数量就是合作，如果质量与数量，合作与竞争有机的结合起来，所产生的力量是巨大的。

在我们的班级中，也应该有一种竞争与合作的良好氛围，在竞争中共同成长，在合作中促进竞争。那么我们就会走向成功!

Today the quality of our natural environment has become an important

issue.The world population is rising so quickly that the world has become too

crowded.

We are using up our natural resources and at the same time polluting our

environment with dangerous chemicals.If we continue to do this,life on earth

cannot survive.

Concerned people have made some progress in environmental

protection.Governments of many countries have established laws to protect the

air,forests and sea resources and to stop environmental pollution.

Still more measures should be taken to solve environmental problems.People

should be further educated to recognize the importance of the problems,to use

modern methods of birth control,to conserve our natural resources and recycle

our products.We are sure that we can have a better and cleaner place in the

future.
