people travel by plane, by train, by ship, by bus. to me, the best way of traveling on a summer vacation is to go on foot.

on a summer vacation i travel to refresh myself and to see the countryside. when i use my feet and walk on a grass covered path or among the hills i feel detached from the noise of the city and closer to the nature. and when i travel on foot i get more freedom. i can plan my own schedule. i can choose my own route. i can stop where i like. and i can see things and people that i might miss if i travel on a train or on a bus.

when faster and more convenient ways for travel are becoming available, i still favor using my own feet. i get much pleasure from it.

I used to think Beijing must be a grand and special city, given that it was the capital of China, and lots of events I have heard took place there. Last summer I went to Vietnam with my parents. We stayed at a small village outside Saigon. The air and water was very clean and there were many kids playing in the mud along with water buffalos. Though it’s a very poor country, the kids seem to be happy. They live with their farmer parents in little houses built with dirt and straw and help out a lot in the rice field during the day. They don’t have TVs or Internet, but they enjoy a lot playing outside. It was a very memorable trip that I will never forget.

Korea is a country that famous for its beach, culture, even their products. Luckily, I had a chance to go to Korea last year.

This is the second time for mr. brown to visit jinan. during his stay in

shandong, he will visit several schools. net week mr. brown will visit some

places. first, he will take a train to taian to climb mount tai. then he will go

to qufu by bus to visit the temple of confucius. after that, he will return to

jinan by bus. then he will fly to qingdao for a visit. there he will stay for

some days and give a talk on american english. at last he will take a plane to

go back to america from qingdao.

mr. brown comes to shandong for a visit to several schools. he is in jinan

now. this is the second time for him to come here. net week he will visit some

Gulangyu is an island separated from Xiamen city proper. Its like a garden on the water. The shade of the trees covers nearly the whole island. Cars, buses, bikes are not allowed to drive there. Everyone should walk. This makes the place very quiet so that music played by the violin or the piano can be heard here and there. It is the famous "Home of Music".

The Sunshine Rock is the highest place on the island, so it has become the symbol of Gulangyu. Beijing is a prosperous city. It has many places of historic interest and scenic beauty.

Then， we visited the Summer Palace， where the scenery is very beautiful. We also went to the birds nest ，there is very great. Finally ， we went to the Great Wall ，really spectacular.
