The environmental issues facing each country are not unrelated to the well being of the rest of the world。 The impact is long term and international in scope。 Without international cooperation and agreement to address such environmental issues as glacial melting at the South Pole， depletion of the ozone layer， water pollution， air polution， etc。， the environmental conditions of the world will deteriorate to the detriment of every nation， not just those that ignore or lack the resources and technology to resolve their individual environmental problems。

As part of the same planet， it is the responsibility of each individual and nation to protect the global environment。 Only international cooperation will provide the timely solutions and the effectiveness needed to stop the deteriorating global environment。

Cars and Air Pollution

Too many cars have created a lot of serious problems in our world. Besides congestion, accidents and fast fuel consumption, cars are responsible for a good part of air pollution in big cities. All the time, they are pumping huge amounts of waste gases into the atmosphere. These gases are very harmful, causing disease and even death.

One possible solution is to design and develop clean cars and clean fuels. In Shanghai, some of the public buses begin to run on natural gas, which does not give off as much carbon dioxide as the petrol. But it may take decades for the new models of clean cars completely replace the traditional ones. Another solution is to develop modern public transportation systems and restrict the use of private cars. If the price of petrol rises constantly and the public vehicles are efficient and convenient enough, most people will not buy private cars. And the total number of cars in big cities will reduce greatly.

On the whole, the elimination of air pollution needs the collective efforts from the government, the public and the environmentalists.

有一次爸爸开车带我去复习，于是我便语重心长地说：“爸爸，您还是开电动车吧！”“嗯，那好吧。”

坐在车上，在两米外都是雾，看不出在哪个位置，这又怎么能开车呢？也很容易造成交通事故。爸爸担忧地说：“现在到处是雾，还不知道什么时候会发生交通事故呢。”爸爸语音刚落，就发生了一次交通事故。

到了复习地方，老师居然也为雾霾感到担心，并劝我们雾霾的时候，在家里休息。

It is undeniable that the worsening environment has become the biggest concern of the present-day world. Land resources are dwindling because of water loss and soil erosion. Waste gases poison the air we breathe. The rivers and lakes are polluted by waste dumped in them from factories. It is probably no exaggeration to say that deterioration of the quality of the environment threatens the existence of mankind itself.

从前，涝河的水清澈见底。一到夏天，我们村里的许多小孩就到涝河里戏水、游泳。但是，后来有许多游客来涝河游玩，他们乱扔塑料袋、水瓶等垃圾，使涝河的水变得又脏又臭。并且，涝河不远处建起了一个挖沙场，那里尘土飞扬，从附近路过都得戴口罩。滚滚尘土四处飘散，使家乡的空气遭到了严重的破坏。我们没法到涝河边去玩了，漂浮的垃圾和漫天的尘土把涝河变成了人人避之唯恐不及的臭水沟。平时在涝河洗衣服、打水的人也不敢去了。这样浑浊不堪的涝河哪个人会想去玩，去洗衣服呢？

在这里，我呼吁人们要保护涝河，还涝河美丽富饶的原貌。为此，我提出以下建议：

1、规范游客行为，禁止游客乱扔垃圾，违者进行处罚。

2、在涝河两岸多设置垃圾桶，让游客有扔垃圾的地方。

3、设河道管理员，监督并及时制止游客的不文明行为。

4、停止在涝河挖沙。

希望我的建议能被相关部门采纳，希望涝河早日恢复美丽！

在世界清洁日的那天，学校组织了全校师生去清洁街道。我们打着：“清洁学校，打扫街道，爱护家园，保护环境”的口号。个个兴致勃勃地拿起了自己的工具往街道走去。

四百多号师生一齐走向街道，这浩荡的气势，在气场上都能把破坏环境的人给压下去。

我们先分工，再合作。一些老师和学生负责打扫街道的每一个角落；另一些负责刷掉墙上的小广告；剩下的则负责泼水。你们扫地，他们泼水，我们刷墙。正所谓“分工合作”就形成了。俗话说“男女搭配，干活不累。”我们师生搭配，干起活来又哪里和累沾得上边呢？

墙壁上的小广告到处都是，地上的垃圾也随处可以看见。我们五百多号师生利用了一整个上午的时间才把那小小的街道给彻底打扫干净。虽然每个人都大汗淋漓，但是看着那涣然一新的街道，看着那里的居民满心欢喜的笑容，看着我们一个上午的努力没有白费，我们也感到十分欣慰。

但是从中更能反映出人口素质偏低，缺乏保护环境的意识。我们学生不也一样吗？

当我们从繁忙的学习中抽身投入大自然的怀抱，我们会发现曾经美丽的大自然母亲已经“毁容”了——群山成了秃头，河流臭气冲天，小溪也奄奄一息了，到处“飘舞”着各色各样的塑料袋等等。这意味着什么？这意味着我们如果不及时保护环境，人类将会和地球一起消失，这绝对不是危言耸听！

地球妈妈在哭泣，我们怎样对待她，她就怎样对待我们。所以我们一定要保护环境，保护我们生存的家园。

森林，地球的肺，为人类带来的好处不计其数：防洪、放沙暴、过滤空气等等等等，数不胜数。可现在呢?森林正在以每分钟38公顷的速度大面积减少，没有了森林，我们的地球就好象少了一根支柱，地球就好象开始摇摇欲坠起来。

面对这样的地球，我们能怎么做?我们应该怎么做?

首先应该从根本上做起，从我们力所能及的事情做起：节约用水，争取少污染水，拒绝食用野生动物……如果说全国每个人在每次用水后都关上水龙头，那么，一天下来，我们可以省19个水缸的水。如果我们多用肥皂，少用洗洁精，有许许多多的水避免受到污染。我曾见过这样一条宣传标语：利用可再生资源—别等到能源耗竭的那一天!的确，人类目前使用的能源90%是石油、天然气和煤。

这些燃料的形成过程需要亿万年，是不可再生的资源。太阳能、风能、潮汐能、地热能则是可再生的，被称为可再生能源。人们把那些不污染环境的能源称为“清洁能源”。使用清洁能源就能避免污染了。像今年国家很提倡的“支持绿色照明——人人都用节能灯”就是一个很好的例子：“中国绿色照明工程”是我国节能重点之一。按照该工程实施计划，“九五”期间全国将推广节能高效照明灯具。到2000年争取节约照明用电220亿千瓦时，并节省相应的电厂燃煤，减少二氧化硫、氮氧化物、粉尘、灰渣及二氧化碳的排放。

human activity has damaged natural environment and almostexaustednatural resources. modern industry needs more and moreresources,including minerals, fuels and water. so we confront ofthe seriousproblems such as the lack of fuels and water.ecological balance isdamaged because factories occupy many placeswhere animals andplants live. more and more buildings areconstructed and forestsbecome less and less. if we cannotrecognize these problems andsolve them soon, we would finally losethe environment suitable forour living.an other serious problem is the green-house effect.humanactivity decreases forests and increases the usage of fuels sothatthe gas of carbon dioxide is output more and more and there arenotenough plants to absorb it. the green-house effect is moreobviousand more sensible these years. due to the effect, icebergsin thesouth polar and north polar melt and the sea level becomeshigherthan before. i am worried about the cities nearby the sea andhopescientists find an effective method to eliminate thegreen-houseeffect.

although we have advanced machines and our life seemsmorecomfortable than before, we have less chances to approachnaturesand less spaces to act. the cities become bigger and if wewant tohave a picnic with our friends, we have to drive a longdistance tofind a natural place. in fact, the spaces of humanactivity arebeing damaged by the skyscrapers and factories.from the above statements, we can conclude that humanactivitybrings the earth many damages. fortunately people haverecognizedthe point and i believe that the earth will become abetter placeto live with our ceaseless efforts.

在一个阳光明媚的早上，小动物正在热烈的讨论一件事情。

原来是在讨论人类破坏环境的一个会议，主持人是老虎，动物们因为害怕老虎，所以只能让老虎主持，开始进行会议了。

老虎拍拍桌子说：〝小动物们，现在我们开始会议吧，现在你们有什么事对人类破坏家园的事情都说出来吧。〞

小白兔听了后就马上举起手说：因为人类破坏了我们的家园，所以要狠狠地惩罚人类。

不行，这样是不会让人类不再破坏的，因为要直接对他们说才行，小绵羊摇着头说。

小熊猫听了后又想了想说：不行，我不同意，我们应该要写一张表贴在墙上，而且里面的内容是不要破坏环境的就可以了。

小蝴蝶和小蜜蜂一起说：我同意小熊猫的建议。

老虎听了以后点了点头说：我也同意。

就这样人们看了表后就再也没有破坏环境了，因为保护环境人人有责，从我做起。

去年冬天，总是能从天气预报上看到“某某地方有雾霾，与前几年的“某某地方天气晴朗”完全不同，我不禁想问：这样的天气是怎样形成的？

走到大街上，我看到各种车辆川流不息地行驶，每辆汽车的后面都有一条长长的烟雾，大街上每分钟就有几十辆汽车驶过，这样一天，会有多少汽车尾气排放到大气中呀！

我继续向北走，看见“太钢”那边的工厂排放出许多浓黑的烟雾，不到几分钟，原来湛蓝的天空变得黑沉沉的，空气中也有了几丝刺鼻的、难闻的气息，使快步走开。

走着走着，我突然发现地上有许多五颜六色的塑料袋，这些塑料袋有的被风吹到天上，好像一个个无人看管的“风筝”，有的被风吹挂到树枝上，像一只只“小鸟”似的停在树枝上。这一幕不禁让我想到在电视上看到在海边飘着的塑料袋有些被水鸟误食后水鸟窒息。

看完这些后，我终于明白了这样的天气是谁造成的——是人类！我想如果再这样下去，人类还会有几百年的生存时间呢？所以，我问大家呼吁：保护环境吧！这样也是在保护我们自己哦！
