圣诞节只是基督徒庆祝其信仰的耶稣基督(jīdū)诞生的庆祝日。圣诞节的庆祝与基督教同时产生，被推测始于西元1世纪。很长时间以来圣诞节的日期都是没有确定的，因为耶稣确切的出生日期是存在争议的，除了《新约》以外，没有任何记载提到过耶稣;《新约》不知道日期，当然就没有人知道确切日期了。在西元后的头三百年间，耶稣的生日是在不同的日子庆祝的。西元3世纪以前的作家们想把圣诞日定在春分日上下。直到西元3世纪中期，基督教在罗马合法化以后，西元354年罗马主教指定儒略历12月25日为耶稣诞生日。现在的圣诞节日期跟西元纪年的创制是密不可分的。

西元纪年创制于西元5世纪，后来圣诞节这一天就按格里高利历法，即西元纪年的“公历”来确定了，而日历按着假定日期把时间分为公元前(耶稣基督诞生前)和公元后(A. D. 是拉丁文缩写，意思是“有了我们主--耶稣的年代”)。后来，虽然普遍教会都接受12月25日为圣诞节，但又因各地教会使用的历书不同，具体日期不能统一，

SinceI was a little baby, my parents read simple stories for me. They bought me manycartoon books with stories. They were my bedtime stories. Among all theinteresting stories, I like fairy tales most, because they are often beautifullove stories between prince and princes or Cinderella. They are so moved andfull of love. Besides, in fairy tales, no matter how much they suffer, theywill always live a happy life in the end. The happy endings bring hope andsatisfaction to people, making us hopeful to our own lives. Every time I readfairy tales, I put myself into the story, imagining I am one of them. That’swonderful.

One day, dad taught me pack dumpling. Lets wash clean, out of a bowl. Water enough, my father and I each half, we use hand rub back and forth, until no longer sticky hands, rub the process is complete.

Started to pack dumpling, I according to the appearance of the father, took a small plane, in the middle of the palm and hit a small ball, and then put the right hand thumb into just knead dough, pinch sesame paste with chopsticks in just make the hole, press with four finger with the thumb to the middle, and rub into a circle. In the evening, my father and I go outside for a walk, street lights, full of red lanterns. I love to pack dumpling, but I love the Lantern Festival.

X月X日这天是农历正月十五元宵节。这天家家户户要吃汤团、猜灯谜、放炮竹、赏花灯来庆祝元宵。

这天，爸爸教我包汤团。我们先把手洗干净，拿出一只碗。开始和面了，只见爸爸在碗里倒上大半的糯米粉，将少许水一点一点放进去，再用手绞了几下又放了点水。爸爸告诉我：注意每次放得水不能太多，少了可以再加，太多了会粘手。水够了，我和爸爸各分一半，我们用手来回的揉，直到不再粘手了，揉面的工序完成了。

开始包汤团了，我照着爸爸的样子，拿了一小团面，放在手掌中间挫一个小圆球，然后把右手的大拇指把插进刚揉好的面团，用筷子夹点芝麻馅放在刚弄的洞里，用四个手指配合大拇指一起往中间按，揉一揉又变成了圆形。我要把这个“半成品”放到碟子上面去时，爸爸叫住了我说：“儿子，这样放上去可能会粘的，在糯米粉里滚一滚就不粘了。”我照着爸爸的方法一试果然不粘了。照这样一连做了好几个，不一会二十个就完成了，个个洁白如玉，让人嘴馋。

晚上，我和爸爸到外面散步，此时的大街上灯火通明，四周挂满了火红的灯笼。天空闪耀着五彩的礼花，有的礼花在天空中像满天的星星一闪闪，有的似流星雨，一瞬间就消失在天际中。地上百子炮噼里啪啦的响个不停。小孩子手持烟花棒飞舞着，欢笑着。

我爱包汤团，但我更爱元宵节。
