“尊严”这个词对于我们并不陌生，在我淡泊的人生路途中我听到太多人谈及这个名词。那么尊严到底代表了什么呢? The word "dignity" is no stranger to us. On my way to my indifferent life, I heard too many people talking about the term.So what does dignity represent?

有些人认为尊严什么也不是，只是一个名词，一个没有用的东西，人活着要现实、尚待自己是我承认人活着要现实但是尊严难道没有比物质上的东西更重要吗!物质上的东西生不带来死不带去，有什么好挂念的呢!反倒是尊严，能伴人永久。

尊严，我不曾深入了解他的含义。但在我心目中，尊严是评价一个人好坏的最初基准。一个有尊严的人才算是真真正正的人，没有尊严的人什么也不是。只是枉来了一趟人间罢了……既然没有尊严那又何必在这个世界上徘徊呢!还不如去死。肮脏的世界上，每一个角落都有人在奋斗、在拼搏，那么又何必要自卑的没有尊严的活着呢!

或许我的说法太过偏激，但是，尊严是人最起码的品质不是吗?

记得学过一篇古文，里面有这么一个故事：

大家都十分期待这次的运动会，每天都积极训练，为这次的运动会做准备，在操场上撒下汗水。这天，终于来了，大家又兴奋又紧张。

上午，进行的是单项比赛。我因为脚骨折还没痊愈我没有参加任何比赛，就给同学们加油打气。

第一局拔河，我们战胜了3班。第二局，我们就要和实力很强的二班比赛了。大家摩拳擦掌，跃跃欲试，准备大干一场。比赛一开始，观众们就叫地惊天动地，我们处于落后状态。老师拼命地让他们往下倒，往后拔。大家齐心协力，终于打败了2班。

这次的运动会圆满结束，我们班也取得了很好的名次。

Its raining again today。And its raining hard。It was dark from morning

till night。 It was still dark at half past eight。 Even if I do my homework， I

can only see it with the light on。As soon as it rains， it stays down until about

twelve oclock。After the rain stopped， I went to the restaurant downstairs to

buy some food。

今天又下雨了，雨下得很大，天黑了从早上到晚上，它还是黑的八岁半。即使我做我的功课，我只能开着灯看。一旦下雨，它停留下来直到十二点雨停了，我去楼下餐厅买一些食物。

盼望着，盼望着。带着秋天的气息，我们全校师生都盼望已久的秋季运动会，终于到来了。我们的心情是多么的激动啊!唱着，跳着，都不能发泄我们不尽的快乐。

我们的参赛项目中还有一项是铅球，这是一个十分费劲的项目。看，我们班的詹于力迈着坚定的步伐接过了沉重的铅球。为了这一天，他准备了很久，为了这一天，他付出了很多。他使劲地把铅球推了出去。这颗铅球寄托了他的希望，也寄托了班级的希望。
