Moonquakes are to Mid-Autumn Festival what mince pies are to Christmas. The seasonal round cakes traditionally have a sweet filling of lotus seed paste or red bean paste and often have one or more salted duck eggs in the center to represent the moon. And the moon is what this celebration is all about. Mid-Autumn Festival falls on the 15th day of the 8th month，it is the time when the moon is said to be at its brightest and fullest.

There are two legends which claim to explain the tradition of eating moonquakes. One Tang Dynasty myth holds that the Earth once had 10 suns circling it. One day all 10 suns appeared at once，scorching the planet with their heat.

It was thanks to a skillful archer named Hour Yi that the Earth was saved. He shot down all but one of the suns. As his reward，the Heavenly Queen Mother gave Hour Yi the Elixir of Immortality，but she warned him that he must use it wisely.

Hour Yi ignored her advice and，corrupted by fame and fortune，became a tyrannical leader. Chang-Err，his beautiful wife， could no longer stand by and watch him abuse his power so she stole his Elixir and fled to the moon to escape his angry wrath. And thus began the legend of the beautiful woman in the moon，the Moon Fairy.

The second legend has it that during the Yuan Dynasty，an underground group led by Zhu Yuan Zing was determined to rid the country of Mongolian dominance. The moon cake was created to carry a secret message.

When the cake was opened and the message read，an uprising was unleashed which successfully routed the Mongolians. It happened at the time of the full moon，which，some say，explains why moonquakes are eaten at this time.

Moonquakes are usually stamped with Chinese characters indicating the name of the ry and the type of filling used. Some ries will even stamp them with your family name so that you can give personalized ones to friends and family.

They are usually presented in boxes of four which indicate the four phases of the moon. Traditional moonquakes are made with melted lard，but today vegetable oil is more often used in the interests of health.

Moonquakes are not for the diet-conscious as they are loaded with calories. The best way to wash down one of these sticky cakes is with a cup of Chinese tea，especially Jasmine or Chrysanthemum tea，which aids the digestion.

“加油！加油……”咦？这是哪的声音？原来是深圳市罗湖区百仕达小学的运动会，经过了令人兴奋的开幕式，紧接着是垒球比赛。只听到：“请四年级垒球运动员到检录处检录。”我满怀期待地走向检录处，心想：我一定要拿到第一名，为班级争光，最少也要拿到第二名！谁知道郑俊鑫也在，那可就不一定能赢了，因为他垒球也很厉害。

到了足球场，我和胡家诚立刻做起了俯卧撑，练一练手臂力量。终于到了我们班，我激动地走上前，下面开始尖叫，我让自己平静下来，拿起垒球，这时尖叫声越来越大，但我忽略了噪音，全神贯注地看着前方，仿佛有一个标靶在我的前方，然后我冷静地举起球，把投掷的角度调成50度，并开始蓄力。随着哨声吹响，我将球用力地掷了出去。在球离手的一瞬间尖叫声停了下来，紧接着传来了“哇！”的声音，我看着球从高空落下，如同一只鹰一般展翅高飞地扑向猎物。“哇！好远啊！”我不自觉地惊呼道。接下来的两球，我趁热打铁，力度便是火上浇油，在心里告诉自己：加油，加油，一定能拿第一名！投完后，我怀着忐忑不安的心情回到了坐位上。

时间过得飞快，随着各项比赛的进行，一下子就到了广播四年级垒球成绩的时间了。XXX第八名，XXX第七名……，胡家诚第三名，我们紧张地听着，我更是提心吊胆，生怕没能拿到第一名，不能为班级加分！因为只剩下我和郑俊鑫没报了，我更是提心吊胆，生怕没能拿到第一名，不能为班级加分！“郑俊鑫第二名”“耶！太棒了！能加分了！耶！”我们开始欢呼，然后听到：“曹皓钧第一名！”我们班又一次欢呼起来！同学们说道：“真有你的啊！”我也非常开心！不过，有点遗憾的是，我不知道我还报了200米，可能是老师给我报的。因为我没有练，所以才拿了第五名。接下来就是老师们的比赛了，我们班有些同学还打赌谁会赢呢！

转眼间，运动会便结束了，我们不仅获得了好的成绩，也收获了快乐！并且我的心里也生起了一种股自豪的感觉，因为我又一次为班级拿了第一名！这真是一件让人开心的事情！

我意犹未尽，开始期待下一次运动会的到来！

四月是一个美丽的月份。春暖花开，草长莺飞，温暖的阳光普照大地，有好多美好的事都发生在春天。4月29日，我们的“幸福民族情，共筑中国梦”主题运动会，也在这个美丽的四月展开。

上午九点，我们举行了开幕式，一至六年级都展现了自己独特的风采，最具特色的就是我们学校特色社团。在欢快的音乐声中，篮球社团，轮滑社团，街舞社团，围棋社团等都展现了自己别样的风采。

最令人难忘的就是多彩的民族方阵。他们有的身穿傣族服饰，有的身穿藏族服饰，还有的穿着蒙古族服饰，在音乐声中，各个民族都纷纷跳起自己民族的传统舞蹈，让我印象十分深刻，为我们国家有这么多民族，这么多独特的文化所感动。

开幕式结束了，最激动人心的比赛终于开始了，首先进行的是女子100米跑，只听发令枪砰的一响，运动员们便如离弦的箭一样向终点冲刺，全场为之沸腾，我们在看台上大喊，“加油！”“加油！”，为我们的运动员助威，我们的运动员取得了第二名的好成绩，当她胜利归来时，身后仿佛有胜利的霞光照耀着她，步伐坚定铿锵，笑容可以驱散春日早晨的微寒。

比赛越来越激烈，我们下午进行了比赛，虽然没有取得特别好的成绩，但是我们也没有灰心，也为运动员们鼓劲。希望下次还会有更好的成绩！本次运动会中，我们磨练了意志，增强体质和信心，名次不是关键，关键的是我们得到了可谓的友谊，加油！向前冲
