Here is a difference between science and technology.Science is a method of

answering theoretical questions; technology is a method of solving practical

problems. Science has to do with discovering the facts and relationships between

Another distinction between science and technology has to do with the

dislikes, or to popular ideas about the fitness of things. What scientists

discover may shock or anger people--as did Darwins theory of evolution. But

even an unpleasant truth is more than likely to be useful; besides, we have the

option of refusing to believe it! But hardly so with technology;we do not have

the option of refusing to hear the sonic boom produced by a supersonic

aircraft-flying overhead; we do not have the option of refusing to breathe

polluted air. Unlike science, progress in technology must be our slave and not

the reverse. The legitimate purpose of technology is to serve peopie--people in

general, not merely some people; and future generations, not merely those who

presently wish to gain advantage for themselves.

We are all familiar with the abuses of technology. Many people blame

technology itself for widespread pollution, resource depletion and even social

decay in general--so much so that the promise of technology is obscured. That

promise is a cleaner and healthier world. If wise applications of science and

technology do not lead to a better world, what else will?

Humor is a flavor of our lives. Humor can soften relationship between

people; humor can adjust the atmosphere of different occasions; humor can bring

more fun and joy to our lives.

First, humor is very necessary in communicating with others because it can

soften relationship between people. In the process of getting along with others,

the occurrence of difference and contradiction is inevitable. Sometimes, when we

want to persuade others to agree with our points, we will find that our points

are easier to be accepted if we argue in a humorous tone.

Second, humor can adjust the atmosphere of different occasions. A person

having a good sense of humor is good at adjust the atmosphere. For example, in a

family, if the husband has a good sense humor, their family life would be more

harmonious because he can adjust the atmosphere in time to avoid the occurrence

of quarrel.

Finally, a person having a good sense of humor can bring fun and joy to

others. It is not difficult to find that a humorous person is always warmly

我，时而穿梭在林中，时而又攀爬，站立于岩石上。心中唯一的信念是——不断向上!脚下踏着的是春土，这些土都蕴酿着春的意味，变得滋润，有活力。山谷中流淌下一丝清泉，一直往下流，流入我的心田，滋润我心窝，如喝了窖藏多年的老酒，让我略带醉意。我展望远景，仿佛天地都在我胸前。我仿佛是那座山，是掌管着山林青郁的山神，想起总略感自豪。水往下流，山往上长，而我如山，不断朝上进发。近乎九十度的山坡未能使我滑下深谷;狡猾的老树未能把我绊倒。尽管膝盖被撞伤，手被划破，山越高，就越难呼吸，汗如水一般往下淌，可那都是为了抗争的牺牲，抗争自我、抗争自然!眼睛总盯着山顶，目标就在那儿，山最高的那端!人家说:“仁者乐山,智者乐水。”今日我穿行于间，吸收的是天地的灵气与日月的精华!

泉水叮咚流入生活，大山广阔记在心中，此是春行之乐也!

清晨，太阳还没睁开眼睛，薄雾给山城披上了一层轻纱，精彩的运动会。我跑跳着走在上学的路上。

因为学校将举行我期待已外的运动会。

跨进校园，早已许多参赛选手在运动场上热身。跳长绳这边绳舞飞扬，跑步那边健步如飞，跳远的身轻如燕……。

下午，长绳比赛将开始，同学们精神抖擞，斗志昂扬地来到比赛场上，为夺取冠军个个摸拳檫掌。一声哨响比赛开始了，只见操场上绳飞舞，人跳跃。在比赛进行得非常激烈的时候，突然周永锋一不小心绳棒就飞了出去，把同学们急得一起惊叫起来，只见他迅速地捡回绳棒。紧接着喻无若也不小心被绳子绊了一下，但他脚一甩迅速地跳了出去。后来还出现了一些失误，但都化险为夷。同时，场外的同学为我们喝彩，加油!加油!三五班冠军!三五班冠军!听到喝彩声参赛的同学们更加斗志昂扬，奋力拼搏。

五分钟的比赛很快结束了。虽然我们班没拿到冠军，有些遗憾，但通过这次比赛活动体现了我们班集体团结合作，坚持不懈的体育精神。

星期三是个美好的日子，这一天，天气格外晴朗，空气十分清新，我们实验小学全体师生，迎来了一年一度的冬季运动会。运动员们一个个生龙活虎，在充满欢声笑语的操场上摩拳擦掌，准备大显身手。

运动会开始了。按照要求，每班只能选出三十名同学参加第一场——比赛，拔河比赛。我们班选了我在内的三十名力气比较大的同学，有的摘下帽子，有的解下围巾，还有的干脆脱下棉衣，准备大干一场。

比赛快开始了，我们都叉开双腿，紧紧地握住绳子，脸绷得紧紧的，全神贯注的听着裁判的号令。

嘟，裁判员哨声一响，我们就立即用尽全身的力气向后拔，各队的指挥员们用力的挥动着小旗子，旁边的观众也便拍掌边使劲的呐喊，加油加油，听到加油声后，我们更加卖力了。可不管我们再怎么卖力，胜利的天平还是不眷顾我们，毫不犹豫的向对面倾斜了，我们输了比赛，真不甘心！

操场上一片沸腾，精神焕发的运动员们个个脸上都散发着自信的光芒。在跑道上正举行着1000米长跑，随着裁判员一声令下，运动员们就如闪电一般快的速度冲了出去，跑道上看不见人影，只听见耳边呼呼的风声，还没等你反应过来，运动员们就与你“擦肩而过”了。看！那不是我们班的王义森吗！只见他脚下“生风”，像离弦的箭一般飞奔。在最后一圈时，王义森的体力渐渐不支，慢了下来。到终点时，王义森就成了最后一名。来接应他的同学都为他感到惋惜，但没有一个人嘲笑他，而都为他竖起了大拇指说王义森你真棒！要是我还不一定能够跑完呢……所有人都在夸赞他！

虽然我们在这次运动会中并没有取得好成绩，但是我们不会沮丧，因为失败是成功之母今天的失败就是明天的成功，这次失败会一直激励着我们前进的。

冬季运动会在热烈的气氛中结束了，可那热闹的场面还浮现在我的脑海里，同学们的欢呼声也萦绕在我的耳际。这真是一次难忘的冬季运动会！
