My Family

My name is Li Hua. I am from a workers family. There are six people in my

family. They are my grandfather, my grandmother, my father, my mother, my sister

and I.

Every member in my family works for his or her own trade①. My grandfather

and grandmother are peasants. They do farm work every day in my hometown. My

father is a senior engineer. He is now working in Africa, helping to build a

power station. My mother is a teacher. She teaches English in a middle school.

My sister, five years older than I, is a doctor in the Peoples Hospital of our

county. She loves her work and does it well. I am a middle school student. And I

am going to take this years college entrance examination. I wish that I could

be enrolled② by a famous university.

That is my family. All the members in my family live in harmony③. We love

each other devotedly.

Xiamen is a major city on the southeast coast of the Peoples Republic of

China.It is administered as a sub-provincial city of Fujian province .

The local vernacular is Amoy,a dialect of Southern Min,also called

Hokkien.Amoy is widely used and understood across the southern region of Fujian

Xiamen and its surrounding countryside is known for its scenery and

tree-lined beaches.Gulangyu,also known as Piano Island,is a popular weekend

getaway with views of the city and features many Victorian-era style European

edifices.Xiamens Botanical Garden is a nature lovers paradise.The Buddhist

Nanputuo Temple,dating back to the Tang Dynasty,is a national treasure.Xiamen is

also famous for its history as a frontline in the Chinese Civil War with Taiwan

over Jinmen (also known as Jinmen or Quemoy) 50 years ago.One attraction for

tourists is to view Kinmen,a group of islands a few kilometres away and under

Taiwanese control,from Xiamen island.

Today is the 21stcentury, as the highly developed of technology, we

facilitate our life with all kinds of newly invented products, such as computer,

digital camera and so on. The technology products indeed brings us convenience,

the old way of doing things has been challenging. Before, people like to write

letters to say hi to others or send letters to give people information, while

today, people can use smart phone or computer to call others quickly, that saves

a lot of time. Does the way of writing letters will be kicked out and disappear?

Well, on my opinion, though people like to use the new technology, letter still

has its charm. Writing letters means someone is in sincere attitude, the one who

receives the letter will be touched deeply. Sometimes message is hard to use

phone to explain, then letters will be used. In a word, writing letter will be

not out of day.

“哇，好可爱的小狗哦!”看到一只小狗我也会惊讶，想去碰，但又不敢，怕伤着。这也许是童心的力量吧。每每看到一只小猫在苦苦寻找猫咪妈妈时，我总会放下手上的任何东西，拿一片小面包，轻轻塞到它嘴里，当它微微一笑，发出响亮的猫叫时，我总忍不住会心一笑。也不知哪来的同情和怜悯心。这也许是童心的力量吧!“哇，天边的那片云。好洁白哦，像棉花糖呀!好想吃啊，哇，还会动!看，像小山羊，像小狗，像妈妈的脸!哈哈!”仰望天空，我总会喃喃自语，看着那稀奇古怪的东西，我总会萌发好奇之心。也许这就是童心的力量吧!

Today was the second day of our Hong Kong visit. I was very happy as

yesterday. But I felt tired a lot. I didn’t want to stay at guesthouse, so I

planted to go window-shopping with my parents in Times Square. There were many

kinds of goods, but you could choose the one you liked best easily。Also, there

were many designer-label stores in Times Square, such as

DNKY、MAXMARA、MAX&CO、BOSS and so on. Among others, there was a famous

bookstore called PAGEONE.At last, I bought a beautiful skirt(你好像是女的吧)and some

books。Then I was exhausted but I didn’t care in the slightest(可以换成not at all

体育课是一项我最不喜欢的课程，虽然有时是让我们自由活动的，但也是需要一些运动，例如：跑步、跳高、跳远、跳沙坑等，它们可是我“致命”的运动，我最不想听到的就是要比赛啦。这不，上个星期的星期四，就比赛了跳沙坑，这可让我们女生出了洋相。

比赛开始了，男生先跳，我们女生根本顾不上去看，在一旁谈着怎样怎样耍赖皮，一会儿功夫，就到了我们女生了，不光如此，而且还有男生在一旁观战，我的心“怦怦”直跳，想象着我跳进沙坑的情景······

哎呀，轮到我了，我胆战地向前走了一步，然后小跑起来，渐渐地，那个踏板离我越来越近，可是，踏板离坑大约有一米多长，估计跳不过去了，我不由得放慢了脚步，但是不跳不好给老师交代啊!只好鼓足勇气，闭着眼睛使劲跳进了沙坑，可能是没站稳的缘故吧，跳进去又跪下了，别人看了当场捧腹大笑，我的脸“刷”地一下子红了，真想找个洞钻进去，不再出来。

“叮铃铃”下课铃终于响了，我迅速排好队，真想马上回到教室。太尴尬了

During the National Day, our family went to Yunfu Mountain Hot Springs.

It was the second day of our winter holiday. I felt good. I felt I’m free. I had a lot of time to do things I like. My parents are in Beijing. So I live alone but I don’t feel lonely. But I didn’t do something special. I stayed at home and watched TV. Oh! I wrote an English daily composition. It was my homework. Today, I have slept for 14 hours. I thought I was very tired. It was the third day of our winter holiday. Today, there are many business in my mother’s company. So my mother told me to help my uncle who is the manager of my mother’s company. Today, I still went to my mother’s office. My mother was very busy, so was my father. They always live in Beijing. They must get up early. Because they will manage the factory. 我一来到楼梯口，便不知道从哪个地方传来了一股恶心的恶臭，让我不尽皱起了眉头，四处寻找着这恶臭的源头。当我摆出一副百米冲刺的姿态正想往恶臭的地方冲去时，就看见离恶臭的地方不远处蹲着一个矮小的身影，这个人好像在伸手挖着下水池。只见出现在我视线里的这一个身影越挖越吃力，拼命地向下发着力。想到他挖的那个情景，我便觉得更加恶心了。心里不时想："这样的天气，烈日当空，还有这恶臭的气味，不好好到课室里休息，反而在这里玩水?这人不是脑子进水吧!"一阵微风轻轻吹过，那一股刺鼻的恶臭就越来越浓烈，让我难受不已。为了一探究竟，我飞快地赶到了那个发出阵阵臭味的地方。看见了在我们班的门口，同学们在围在一堆正看着什么，我立马向前看过去一问："你们在干什么?怎么一大堆的人围在一起呢?"只听同学们七嘴八舌地讨论着："班上的小飞同学正努力地疏通下水口。"

我一听，便为自己刚刚的所想感到特别的惭愧。之后，我向小飞望去，只见摆在小飞旁边的地方放了一个装满垃圾的纸箱，垃圾箱里装着一些发霉发臭的食品。小飞正紧皱着眉头，脸涨得红红的，额头上那些污垢也顾不上擦，在十分用力地捣着东西。时间慢慢地过去了，这无情的烈日却更加肆无忌惮地照耀着，这时，小飞的脸上已经布满了豆大的汗水，汗水顺着他的脸颊慢慢滑落到了他的衬衫，不一会儿功夫便把小飞的衣衫湿透了。虽然如此，但小飞还是没有放弃，还在不停用力地捣着，看着我们同学都十分焦虑。"嗯!"突然间，小飞大叫了起来，不知道他的手碰到了什么，让他如此激动。于是，我就赶紧问他："怎么了?没事吧你的手，要是不行，就放弃了吧!我来帮你一下吧!"等我说完，小飞就把手拿了出来，然后吃力地说："没事，很快就好了，我一个人就能行了。"在我执意要帮忙的时候，班上的同学就立刻阻止了我，说："你就不用去帮忙了，你看小飞一个人干得挺顺利的，你要是现在贸然去帮忙，说不定还会帮倒忙呢!再说，把你弄脏了也不好，还是交给小飞吧!"我听了，只好放弃了帮忙的念头，在人群中十分担心地看着小飞的一举一动。再过了大约十分钟后，经过小飞一般的努力，这下水口的池已经通了，那令人发紫的污水顺利地流走了，臭气也随之而散了，水池也再一次恢复了之前的干净。再看看小飞，这时他脸上终于失去了艰难的面容，那扑红扑红的脸蛋露出了真挚的笑容。

从同学们的口中得知，原来今天我们班旁边的水池堵了，因而发出了阵阵恶臭，疏通水池这个任务便交给了我们班。就在要大家疏通下水口时，每个同学都有各种理由和借口推脱这个任务。最后小飞很有担当地站了出来，把这一任务放在了他的身上。所以，才会出现开头的那一个身影。

从这一件小事中，我看到了一份大大的责任，看见了小飞勇于担当的责任心，这一份高贵的品质是常人不能具备的，因此，我要以小飞作为我的榜样，做一个有担当、有责任的好男孩。
