For most people, they will choose to travel during holiday because they

want to relieve themselves from the high pressure of work. However, it happens

quite often that people often ran into traffic jams on the way to travel. Some

people think that we can relax ourselves by traveling no matter of how many

people there.

Some people would rather to stay in home than going out to travel because

they think there are too many people swarm into the scenic spots. In my point of

view, I would rather to stay indoors rather than going out to travel. Reasons

are listed below.

In the morning, a grand flag-raising ceremony in Beijings Tiananmen Square will attract many people.

National Day is commemorated every year by special flag-raising ceremonies. Crowds gathere at Tiananmen Sqaure in Beijing early morning for this event. It was part of the National Day celebrations for the birthday of the Peoples Republic of China.

The national flag was first raised over Tiananmen Square in 1949, marking the birth of New China. And it has been repeated every day since then. The ceremony still attracts the interest of millions of people each year. Although the flag has meant different things to different people, it now rises over a more confident and prosperous country.

Along the Changan Avenue, the major street in downtown Beijing,lamps and colored lights illuminate the whole street.

When I was a primary school student, my family and I took a trip to five

cities which were in the south of China.

First, we came to Nanjing by plane. That was the first time I had taken the

plane and it took us an hour and a half to get there. We arrived in Nanjing in

the morning. At 11:30 we went to a restaurant to have lunch. The food tasted

delicious. In the afternoon we went to “Zhongshanling”. It was the place that

preserve the tomb of Mr. Sugshan.

The next day, we came to Wuxi and then Suzhou where we visited the region

of rivers and lakes of “周庄”. It was a beautiful and old place. The house there

were along the river and the women always washed clothes at the bank.The fourth

day, we came to Hangzhou where We visited “The West Lake. It was very beautiful

and the water was clear .

As we all know, Hangzhou is famous for silk and tea, so we bought some

beautiful silk and famous tea of “龙井”.The last place that we visited was

Shanghai. It was one of the biggest city is China. The night view in Shanghai

was more beautiful than Beijing. We visited the TV tower of “东方明珠”. It was the

third tallest tower in the world. Standing in the tower you could see the whole

city. In the evening, we lived in a hotel with 25 floors. I was very excited

that evening.

This trip took us seven days and we went back to Beijing by plane. The

plane was very very big. There were three engine rooms. I felt happy and I would

never forget the trip.

If I were to leave my home for a year, there is one thing I definitely

would take with me: my cell phone. With my cell phone, I could call my friends

or family if I ever was lonely, needed advice, or just wanted to talk.

I like to travel to different places, I can see the beautiful scenery and get to know the different cultures. My friends and I always travel together, we make many plans in advance. But the plans will always be interrupted by all kinds of unexpected incidents, like the bad weather, the holiday being cancelled, so we have to spend another time to wait for the trip. Traveling alone can ignore these problems, I can go to travel whenever I want, I just need to pick up my backpack, and then buy the ticket. The Spring Festival

The Spring Festival，Chinese New Year，is the most important festival for all of us。 All family members get together on New YearEve to have a big meal。At the same time，everyone celebrates to each other。At about 12 oclock，some parents and children light crackers。The whole sky is lighted brightly。 We may watch the fireworks excitedly。How busy it is！

On the first early moring of one year，many senior citizen get up early and they stick the reversed Fu or hang some couplets on the front door。 Some houses windows are sticked on red paper cutlings。

The Chinese New Year lasts fifteen days。 So during the fifteen days，we always visit our relatives from door to door。 At that time，children are the happiest because they can get many red packets form their parents，grandparents，uncles，aunts and so on。 The last day of the Chinese New Year is another festival。 It names the Lantern Festival。

So the Chinese New Year comes to the end。

Will Christmas Replace the Spring Festival？

Christmas arouses increasing attention year by year in China。 Christmas cards become popular with students。 People hold Christmas parties and exchange Christmas girts。 A lot or TV and radio programs about Christmas are on。 Meanwhile the Spring Festival is less appealing to youngsters。 Thus some people wonder whether Christmas will replace the Spring Festival。

This worry is fairly unnecessary。 Why ？One reason lies that Christmas only affects Christians，college students and joint—ventureworkers。 Another reason is that Christmas is mostly celebrated in cities。 Few people in countryside show extreme interest in this exoticfestival。 By contrast，the Spring Festival is the most influential traditional festival in every family。

I think，it is natural that with increasing exchanges with the West，a lot of Western holidays have been gradually introduced into China。 For us Chinese we should never neglect or even discard our own traditional festivals。 For centuries Chinese have observed this traditional holiday to welcome the beginning of a new year。 And we will treasure the Spring Festival forever。

My plan of next year

A new year ，a new start，when I stand on the edge of a new year，I cant help thinking about my plan of next year。

Just as the old saying：“Well began is the half of the success。”So I decide that I should be at work while the others are still relaxing ，and then ，at the beginning ，Im quicker than the others and of course I will get better result than the others。

But ，what I really decide to do is that I must make good of anytime I can spare though it seems impossible。 While，I will do my best to live up with what I have planned，and the result will prove it。

7月25日，我们一行人踏上了前往日本的飞机，开始了暑期日本之旅。

六天的时间里，我们游览了日本本州的一“都”二“府”，也就是着名的东京都，大阪府和京都府。大阪的古城、京都的古刹，让我感叹建筑的神奇；有着小九寨沟之称的忍野八海、能鸟瞰整个东京城的新宿都厅展望台、时尚繁华的银座商业街、还有世上最大的人造森林明治神宫森林公园，都给我留下了深刻的印象。干净的马路、安静的城市，让我一下子就有一种穿越的感觉。

在日本游玩，美食也是一大诱惑。但对我来说，日本海鲜远远没有大涌谷的黑鸡蛋、黑冰激凌来得有吸引力。不可思议吧？我也和大家一样好奇，一到大涌谷，我就拖着妈妈给我买黑冰激凌，那里的人真多，大多是和我一样好奇的游客。那冰激凌果真是黑色的！入口即化，细细品尝有一股香草冰激凌的味道，却更加的甜，但丝毫不甜腻。我一边兴高采烈的吃着，但心里还是七上八下的：“这冰激凌为什么是黑的？不会是色素吧？不会有毒吧？”后来问了导游才知道这竟是“碳”做的。碳？我长这么大还头一次听说碳能吃，真是大开眼界了！边吃冰激凌边上山，山上白烟弥漫、硫磺刺鼻、地势喷涌又仿佛是凉爽的秋天，真是一座天然的避暑山庄。到了半山腰，我还发现一种更奇怪的东西：竟然有黑色的鸡蛋。我是一个敢于尝鲜的人，怎能错过？这下我又有口福了——这黑鸡蛋又香又嫩！真的不一般。难道又是碳做的？经了解原来这黑鸡蛋是用大涌谷的天然硫磺熏的，所以才变成黑色的，并且特别美味。好神奇，我又长见识啦！

旅行的意义，不仅在于浏览了美景，更在于见识了这些奇闻妙物，让我对大自然充满了好奇心和求知欲。我要用我的双脚、我的眼睛去丈量世界的每个奇妙之处！

Last vacation， I went to Beijing with my family. We went there by train. The train was comfortable. We spent five days visiting Beijing. I felt interesting. The second day was cloudy， so we went to the museums. We saw many old things. On teh third day we went to the Great Wall. It was so great! We were tired. Huhehot is in Inner Mongol. There are lots of large grasslands. The grasslands are endless. The sky is bright blue. There were a lot of horses and sheep. They were running or eating grass. I rode a horse on the graland. I picked some colourful flowers. We drank the tea with milk. There is a small desert, it was very hot when I walked on it. The sand could sing.
