Saving Water

The world is not only hungry,but also thirsty for water. This may seem strange to you, since nearly 75 % of the earths surface is covered with water. But about 97% of this huge amount is sea water, or salt water. Man can only drink and use the other 3% -- the fresh water that comes from rivers, lakes,underground, and other sources. And we cannot even use all of that, because some of it is in the form of icebergs and glaciers. Even worse, some of it has been polluted.

However, as things stand today, this small amount of fresh water, which is constantly being replaced by rainfall, is still enough for us. But our need for water is increasing rapidly-- almost day by day. Only if we take steps to deal with this problem now can we avoid a severe worldwide water shortage later on. A limited water supply would have a bad effect on agriculture and industry. Let me give you just one small exampie of how necessary water is to industry. Did you know that to produce a single ton of steel, it takes about 91, 000 liters of water?

We all have to learn how to stop wasting our precious water. One of the first steps we should take is to develop ways of reusing it. Experiments have already been done in this field, but only on a small scale. For us, the systems are as important as the spacecraft.

I went to visit the Great Wall with my friends during the summer vacation.

We went there by bus. It took us about two hours to get there. It was hot and

windy that day. There were thousands of people. When we saw a group of

foreigners,we went up and talked with them. We told them lots of history of the

Great Wall. They were very surprised when they saw that our English were

exellent and we knew a lot about the Great Walls history. They thanked us a lot

and we really had a good time. We felt proud of ourselves and being Chinese.

我和我的朋友在夏令营期间去了长城，我们是乘汽车去的，经过两个小时才到的那儿。那天天气很热，风也很大，那里有很多很多的人，当我们看到一群外国人的时候，我们上去和他们攀谈。我们告诉他们很多关于长城的故事，他们非常惊讶我们的英语是如此的好，而且我们还懂那么多关于长城的故事。他们非常感谢我们，而我们也度过了愉快的一天。我们为自己是一名中国人而感到很自豪。

今天，我和家人一起去内蒙古玩。在飞机上，我已经迫不及待地想去看大草原了。下了飞机，我在旁边就看到了绿油油的草。在汽车上，我一边看外面的风景，一边听导游说：“我们现在在中国与俄罗斯的边缘。”我一听这个立马兴奋起来，心里暗暗地想：这么说我是不是要出国了呢?一路上，两旁有很多风力发电机，而这些发电机有辐射，对小草的生产不利，所以这边的草长的不是很茂盛。

第二天，我们来到了马场。一下车我就看到柱子上栓着许多匹马，我带上护具，还挺神气的呢!我选了一匹白色的马，我见它特别乖又很帅气，我给它取了名字叫”白马王子“，那边的工作人员把我抱到马背上去，旁边的导游还特地嘱咐我们不要拍马屁。马带着我在一望无边的草原上散步，骑在马上我的心情无比激动。很快骑马活动结束了，要去下一个景点——套娃广场，心里真是有点舍不得呀!

到了套娃广场。首先映入我眼帘的是一个个五彩缤纷的套娃。进入商店，里面有许多琳琅满目的饰品，我买了一个套娃做为纪念。

时间像飞箭，很快就要回去了，我依依不舍地踏上了回家的路。

今天，我和妈妈还有威威哥哥一家三口一起去园博园玩。

园博园非常大，里面有恐龙馆还有骑木马的地方。我们首先去骑木马，那木马下面装了轮子，用脚踩下去就会动，太有趣了。然后我们去了恐龙馆，恐龙馆里有很多恐龙模型、恐龙骨架、恐龙化石。最大的恐龙骨架是马门西龙骨架，它很高也很大。还有有些恐龙模型还会动，非常逼真，有些可以坐上去拍照，我们拍了很多照片。

恐龙馆出来后，我们去看了一座塔，这座塔的名字叫福塔。那个塔耸立在山顶，非常雄伟壮观。我们拍了一些相片就回家了。

Today,I went to the park with my mother,when we walking along the lake,I

saw a couple was siting on the bench at the edge of lake, eating snacks and

casting the packaging into the lake.I was so anger to see that!I think their

behavir is very shameful.The park is a place for all citicens to enjoy beautiful

scenery ，not a place for them to cast rubbish casually.All of us should take

星期四，我和王子岩、王乐煊去榨水的盘古山庄。盘古山庄大厅非常大也很凉快，我们放下行李、吃过饭就带着乒乓球和羽毛球去酒店的运动场去打球了。因为我在学校学过乒乓球，妈妈说我打的不错，让我下学期继续报乒乓球兴趣班，因为我觉得乒乓球很有意思，大家都在玩，能够锻炼身体又很有趣。我答应妈妈我想继续学打乒乓球。然后，我们回房间换了游泳衣去游泳。游泳池潜水区我都能站着，可是我一不小心滑倒在水里，我赶快用手划水，脚站起来，吓了我一跳。我们带着游泳圈继续往深水前进，深水区的水好深呀，我都站不起来了，原来水深1。7米，比我高多了。游完泳晚上我们去吃烧烤就回去睡觉了。

第二天早上我们吃过早饭就去牛背梁了。牛背梁里有许多北方见不到的大树和植物，王子岩爸爸一一给我们讲解。这里还有许多虫子，妈妈说这里很潮湿适合虫子生活。山里的风景很好，有个石头做的梅花桩，是我们几个最爱走的，走在那上面我就像在练武功。里面还有各种各样的桥，有石头的、有木板的、还有绳索的。我们走走停停走了四个小时才到休息的地方，那时候我们都累的不行了，腿特别的酸痛。叔叔问我们还继续爬山不，我们三个异口同声说不爬了，吃过午饭我们就原路返回了。回到宾馆我们又换了游泳衣、拿上游泳圈继续去游泳了。这天游泳我慢慢的学会了在水里憋气，妈妈夸我很棒，过几天我就要去跳水馆学游泳了，所以我现在就是提前练习。

星期六早上我们还去农家乐吃了早饭，我吃了三个煮鸡蛋，因为那个鸡蛋是土鸡蛋，非常好吃，实在是太美味了，妈妈看我吃的很好，就在农家乐了买了一些鸡蛋带回家了。这个周末我过的很开心。

“不到长城非好汉”，今天妈妈终于带我去爬长城了。

站在长城脚下，只见城墙上人山人海，一眼望不到尽头，连绵起伏的长城像一条巨龙盘旋在青山上。

我们先坐了高空缆车，看见了缆车我有点激动。只见高空之中，一辆辆缆车悬在空中，坐在车上可以俯瞰长城，青葱的山林中，长城这巨型的建筑格外引人注目，好似一条红绸飘荡在山谷之间，又似一条强壮的青龙盘踞山谷之间。不过因为是上坡，所以缆车行驶的特别缓慢，我想下坡的时候应该很刺激吧!

下了缆车，我就向目的地跑去，跑着也不忘欣赏风景。长城台阶高低不一，高的高达大人的膝盖，低的能让人一脚踏空，还有一段没有台阶的路特别陡。城墙上有的路很窄，只能让游人一个一个通过。到达第七个烽火台时，我已经走不动了，脚像灌了铅一样重，好想坐下休息一下。突然看见旁边一个80多岁的老人拄着拐杖走过去。嗨!不到长城非好汉，像我这种朝气蓬勃的小学生还比不过80岁的老人吗?我重振旗鼓继续前进，终于爬到了第八个烽火台，能够纵观长城景观。

虽然爬长城的过程很累，但还是值的来，因为长城上这里不光景色美，更重要的是我们能在这里见证古代人民的创造奇迹。

今天，我和伯伯一家一块去五彩滩。我们在路上很开心。仿佛过了2个小时才到了五彩滩。我们买了票进去了。

五彩湾里地貌起伏，奇峰怪石，千姿百态，或蜿蜓如巨蟒;或威武似雄狮;或典雅如仕女;或玲珑似宝塔;让人扑朔迷离，应接不暇。适逢黄昏，登高远望，整个五彩滩被落日点燃，如火如炽，让人心潮澎湃，热血沸腾，很特别。

回去我查了资料，原来五彩滩很特别的原因是这样子的。

五彩滩的特别，是由于它色彩绚烂，形状缤纷。因为这里有侏罗纪时代的煤层，经过千万年风蚀雨剥以及河水的冲刷，在几乎寸草不生的河滩上出现了红、绿、紫、黄、棕等鲜艳的色彩。在河水的映衬和夕阳的照射下，当你走进这高低起伏的“丘陵”地带，就如同走进一个五彩斑斓梦幻般的世界，那些光怪陆离的色彩从四面八方扑面而来，都是那么明快、那么强烈、那么丰富多彩，真让你感到目不暇接，眼花缭乱。

天气晴朗，适合出游。我和妈妈、爸爸及几位叔叔阿姨来到香港迪士尼游玩……

早上七点，吃完早餐，就乘坐爸爸的车来到香港，到迪士尼了。一坐上迪士尼专线，就看到迪士尼的许多东西比如说：白雪公主、唐老鸭、米奇、米妮等。过了一会儿，就到了，在迪士尼的大门下了地铁，往里走。

早晨，我打开窗户不禁惊呀地说了一声：“好大的雪呀!”房顶上，地上，树上，都挂满了雪。空中的电线变粗了，毛绒绒的就像白珊瑚一样。

吃过早饭，我向学校走去，脚踩在雪里发出“咯吱咯吱”的响声，后面还有一串小脚印。来到学校，同学们正在玩滑冰，还有三人一组或两人一组，一个人一不小心摔倒了后面的同学也歪歪扭扭地倒在地上，大家互相搀扶着起来，你看看我，我看看你，“哈哈”地笑作一团，还有一个同学站在操场中间正望着雪景忽然另一个同学向他投了一个雪球，那个同学先是一愣，反应过来之后当然也是“以礼相带”了，这样一场激烈的雪仗开使了!

下课铃响了，寂静的操场上顿时沸腾起来，有的堆雪人，有的打雪仗。瞧!王老师正在笑咪咪的“坐山观虎斗”。忽然一个雪球朝他飞去，可是他只有招架之功而无还手之力!这时几个同学去帮王老师，双方开始对打，一个雪球钻进我的脖子，“好凉啊!”我退出了战场。

上课铃响了，我们依依不舍地回了教室。

今年暑假，我爸爸带我去了济南，住了几天，到了最后一天里我玩的最开心了，因为我爸爸带我去了趵突泉公园。

我们来到趵突泉公园的入口处就别有一番气派。我迫不及待的说：“爸爸，我们快点进去吧!”爸爸说：“着什么急啊，心急吃不了热豆腐。”既然爸爸这样说我只好按他这样做，跟着他一点点走。我们从入口处进去了，一进去就看到一个个雕塑和喷泉美丽极了。我心里想着：入口处就这样美里面得多美啊!我们进去了，果然不出我所料，里面简直就是天堂啊!里面绿树成阴，泉水里有很多金鱼大的、小的、金色的、白色的、红的……使我的眼睛眼花缭乱，这些鳞片在阳光的照耀下显得更加美丽。我们又到了泉口，我拿出事先准备的瓶子，灌了一瓶子水，我迫不及待的喝了一口，我便马上说：“这水真甜。”我们又到了一座桥上，仔细得看着海豹的表演……可是时间是不等人的。转眼间便到了时间。我们恋恋不舍的离去了。

趵突泉真美啊!真不愧是天下第一泉。

I am a shy girl, when there is activity in my class, I will run away from it and try to be nobody. But in my heart, I want to be noticed and show my talent. My friend encourages me to take part in the activity, she helps me to finish the task.At last, I become more and more confident and get along with others. I am so thankful to her for finding my confidence.

我是一个害羞的女孩,班上有活动的时候,我会逃离，让自己成为隐形人。但在我的心里,我想要得到关注，并展示我的才华。我的朋友鼓励我参加活动,她帮助我完成任务。最后,我变得越来越自信，与他人相处得也很愉快。我很感谢她帮助我找到了自信。
