他很爱打乒乓球和篮球，活动课经常和我们一起打乒乓球。有一次我打败了他，他不肯认输并坚定地说：“我要刻苦练习超过你，把你打败。”从此他晚上经常来学校练习打乒乓球。

薛小明就是这样一个既活泼又可爱的孩子。

我的家里以前养了两只美丽的小鸟儿，一只绿色羽毛的，一只蓝色羽毛的，它们的胸脯上都有一片黄色的绒毛。爪子是棕色的，像一根分叉的树枝。它那小小的、圆圆的“葡萄”眼珠，水汪汪的，每天在笼子里面叫个不停，飞来飞去，可爱极了。

它们特爱吃鸟饲料。我看见，鸟饲料很小，大概只有半个小米粒的大小，我闻了闻，没什么味道。我不知道鸟儿为什么喜欢吃这种“无味食品”，可能这些食物对它们来说有别样的滋味吧。

我每天放学回到家里的第一件事就是看看它们，喂喂它们，它们吃得津津有味，连尖尖的嘴角都有些“翘”了。吃饱喝足后，它们就来精神了，不停地叽叽喳喳直叫。我开始跟它们玩了起来。我把手指放在笼子上，它们以为我的手指是好吃的，我放在哪儿，它们就跟到哪儿。有时候它们还会轻啄我的手。有时我跟它们一玩就是几个钟头，舍不得离开。

鸟儿，终究还是喜欢自由地飞翔，不喜欢关在笼子里面。

有一天，我回家后发现小鸟不见了，就到处找。爷爷告诉我：“那只绿色的鸟儿今天早上死了，我就把那只蓝色的鸟儿给放回大自然了。”

我希望那只蓝色的鸟儿在大自然中快乐地翱翔，自由自在地生活。
