As an engineering student majoring in environmental systems, I have strong awareness of the environment and want to work in the field of environmental protection. There are three feasible ways, in my opinion, which can raise public awareness of our surrounding environment. Firstly, the appropriate education in schools can be applied to build our concept on the importance of environment and it should be taken good care. 我在广告上看见全国一年仅餐饮浪费就相当于倒掉了两亿人一年的口粮，这是一个惊人的数字，由此可以看出我们的浪费是巨大的。而且，中国的浪费不是一点点，我们从不注意汽车排放的尾气、电池埋在土里的危害……由此中国成了一个“浪费大国”。

怎么才能做到环保?这是一个有简单又复杂的问题。我觉得“从小事做起”才是这道题的答案，从不把垃圾随便一扔做起，从以后购物都自带购物袋做起，从出门多乘公交车做起，从少用一次性筷子、餐盒起……环保需要做什么?少吃动物、用环保电池、少用空调、把水重复使用、随手关水龙头，将废纸再次利用等许许多多的方式，只要对环境保护有贡献的方式，都算是环保。

环保有多少，你的道德就有多少，环保有多少，你的爱心就有多少，环保有多少，你的人品就有多少。从现在起做一个会环保，懂环保，做环保的人吧!让地球变得更美好，让生活变得更美好，让人们变得更美好!

efforts to preserve intangible heritages because, without their physical form of

existence, they are in greater risk of extinction.

According to UNESCO’s Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible

Cultural Heritage (2003), all forms of social customs and habits, folklore,

performing arts, rituals, oral traditions, festivals, traditional crafts and

various knowledge and practices about nature and universe can be classified as

intangible cultural heritages. As a country consisting of a great diversity of

ethnic groups and with time-honored history and civilization, China abounds in

intangible cultural heritages. Cultural heritages connect modern people with the

historical past, allowing them to acquire a cultural and historical identity.

Without cultural heritages, we would be rendered absolutely rootless and we

would find it hard to cope with challenges at present and in the future.

However, the modernization process poses mounting threats to intangible

heritages. Many people have a blind faith in the latest electronic devices. It

is also pathetic to see elderly people in possession of such legacies pass away

without transmitting them to the younger generation. Faced with those

challenges, we should both preserve and renovate our ancestral heritages so that

we can help contribute to the cultural diversity of the world and return to our

spiritual homeland in this age of impersonal science and technology.

我的家乡荆门有山有水，这里风光秀丽，环境优美。全城到处是高楼大厦，宽阔平坦的道路上，汽车来来往往，川流不息。公路两旁的树林密密层层，郁郁葱葱。公园里百花盛开，争奇斗艳。好一个美丽的荆门。

The butterfly effect is the main approach towards the promotion of environmental protection. Its inefficient when only one person whos acting on protecting the environment, but if one starts the others would follow. Teaching environmental protection in early age is also crucial since the inconsideration of pursuing short-term interest not only set the milestone for the public hazard, but also the destruction of our planet. Moreover, the environmental protection should be the priority for the future of all countries, for good standard of living starts by embracing the ecological balance of the nature.

敬爱的老师、亲爱的同学们：

大家好！今天我演讲的题目是《保护环境》。

绿树成阴，春风抚面，清新的空气，清澈的河水，想必大家都喜欢住在这种城市中，不错，湘乡曾经就是这样的。

但是现在，随着我们生活所需，还有环境变化，更重要的是我们环保意识变弱。现在湘乡城随处可见垃圾，道路上，院子里，草丛里，还有涟水河，这是为什么呢？因为大家现在更依赖于机器了，越来越懒惰了，看见附近没垃圾桶就随手扔了；还有，人们为了赚钱，滥用化学品，排污水。我们这片土地已经是面目全非了。

所以，我呼吁：大家一定要携起手来，告诉身边的人捡起一份垃圾，丢进垃圾桶，这并不丢脸，而是荣誉，湘乡是我们大家的，如果我们每人都献出一份力，湘乡就有可能变成原来的样子。我再告诉人：保护环境，人人有责。

如果你在地上看见一张纸，你会把它拾起来吗？如果你看见别人破坏环境，你会制止吗？如果你自己破坏环境，你会惭愧吗？是的，我会！我会从身边的小事做起。不管这事有多小，就算是芝麻大点儿的事，只要是关于环保的，我都会认真对待。

随着科技的发展，我们国家发明了很多东西。例如交通工具：摩托车、汽车……这些东西虽然给了我们很多好处。但是同时也给人类带来了势不可挡的灾难。

随着摩托车，汽车等交通工具排放的尾气越来越多，地球也因为二氧化碳的增多变得起越来越暖和了。地球变暖导致北极熊都无法生活了，它只好无奈地、茫然地望着远方，似乎在寻找新的出路。

在我的记忆里，有这样一件令人愤怒的事。一天，我去同学家玩，在回家的路上，我无意中看到了一条“黑河”。我再仔细一看，原来这条河的岸边是一个工厂，这个工厂还在不停地往河里排放污水呢。原来清澈见底的小河就这样被工厂给毁了。

回到家以后，只要我想起这件事，我就会很愤怒。我恨不得马上去找工厂的负责人，我想跟负责人说清楚破坏环境是不对的。但我仔细想了想就算我去了也无济于事的。因为他们说什么也不会听我这小毛孩的话的，而且他们为了赚钱可以放弃一切的，甚至是放弃自己生存的家园。但是如果没有这个家园——地球，我们怎么可能生存下来呢？

所以，我们应该有所醒悟，我们不应该做一些伤害地球妈妈的事了。地球是我们全人类的母亲，我们都是她的儿女。我们这些儿女应该孝顺自己的母亲。而不是无所顾忌去伤害她。

保护环境，从我做起，从身边的小事做起。为了减低二氧化碳的排放，为了把地球母亲的体温降底，我们一起努力吧！保护地球——我们全人类的母亲！让她容颜不老，永远美丽，让我们能生活在仙境般的空间里。

地球，是我们赖以生存的家园，可是随着人口迅速增长，工农业迅速发展，环境的污染越来越严重。

我们原本清新的空气因为工厂废气而被污染，我们的生活垃圾也越来越多，为了出行便利，越来越多的人购买了私家车，汽车尾气导致气候变暖，更为可怕的是

我们为了自己的方便经常使用一次性的物品，像塑料袋，泡沫塑料盒等等，这些白色垃圾是不能够火化的，而且埋在地底下还不会腐烂，造成土壤被污染。环境的污染也给人们带来了许多隐患，比如洪水、荒漠化、沙尘暴……，然而这一切的一切难道不是我们人类自己造成的吗？

环境的保护已成为十分迫切的事情，每个人都应该积极行动起来，从小事做起，来保护环境。

记得有一次，我在公园玩，看到了一对母子，那个小男孩只有四岁左右，只见那位母亲随手将一个空的饮料瓶扔到了草地上，那个小男孩看见了，立刻跑过去把饮料瓶捡了起来，跑向垃圾桶，踮起脚，把瓶子扔进了垃圾桶，对妈妈说：“老师告诉我们不能乱扔垃圾，要保护环境。”母亲羞愧地说：“下次妈妈一定会注意的。”这个场景给我留下了深刻的印象，是呀，有时候环境离我们只有一个垃圾桶的距离，从生活的每一件小事做起，就是最好的环保行动。

以前夏天的时候，爸爸特别喜欢吹空调，可今年夏天，家里开空调的次数明显减少了，因为我告诉爸爸：“空调的制冷剂会严重破坏地球的臭氧层，还是多吹吹电风扇吧，舒适又环保！”爸爸同意了我的观点，现在他总是说：“还是吹电风扇比较舒服。”

现在低碳的生活理念已经融入了我的日常生活，上超市购物时我会带上购物袋，外出用餐不再使用一次性筷子……

我相信，只要我们齐心协力，在不久的将来，我们周围的环境一定会变得越来越好。
