我上大学时，学英语，把托福听力存进MP3，一天到晚就放在耳边听。反反复复听，每天听十小时以上，整个人都想吐，还是听不懂。

为什么听不懂呢？因为我没有背单词。连单词都不认识，句子怎么可能听得懂？但是，我相信潜移默化的力量，相信听得多总是好的。后来，它每讲一句话，我都知道下面要出来的是什么音节，但是没有用，什么意思还是不知道。

今天，很多人依然相信潜移默化的力量。比如认为只要读书就是好的，就不会错。哪怕没读懂，也有潜移默化的好处。听起来好像不错，但并不是那么回事，只是这种解释让自己感觉更舒服而已。那种潜移默化留下的，就跟当年一天十小时托福听力在我耳朵里“潜移默化”留下的一样。

看事情不能稀里糊涂，要去推究背后的原因和理由。同样是上学，同样是一天七八个小时坐在教室听老师讲课，有人考90分，有人考20分。有人高三就考上大学了，有人要复习到高四高五。考20分的人，他也潜移默化了呀！复习到高四高五的人，潜移默化的时间更长呢！

潜移默化的作用是有的，但要去分别不同的情况。什么时候该谈潜移默化？“勿以恶小而为之”，第一次做坏事，很紧张，很害怕，下次再做，就没那么紧张和害怕了，做十件百件，整个人就完全变了。这种事上，一定要谈潜移默化。

但人们往往不爱在这种事情上谈潜移默化，倒爱在另外的事情上谈：看一本书，没看懂——“我潜移默化啦”；办一件事，掉链子了——“没事，吸取经验，潜移默化啦”。

为什么会这样？做了恶而无益的事，不谈潜移默化，就可以把大过失看成小过失，把有过失看成无过失；做了劳而无功的事，谈潜移默化，就可以把沒长进看成有长进，把没功劳看成有功劳。人实际上滑头得很呢，总爱把事情往让自己舒服的地方想。

平衡车，顾名思义，就是要掌握平衡的车。它有很多种类型，有单轮平衡车、双轮平衡车和拉杆平衡车。平衡车是一种方便、快捷的交通工具，深受人们的喜爱，但是，它还有一个缺点，那就是不好掌控。就拿我来说吧，为了学会骑平衡车，我可是用了整整一个星期的时间、历经千辛万苦。

今天，我和我的朋友们骑着平衡车相约在一起，正在讨论着今天该玩什么。突然，我灵光一闪，说道：我们不妨举行一个平衡车追逐赛吧!朋友们一听，纷纷点头认同，于是一场激烈的平衡车追逐赛就这样拉开了帷幕。

比赛即将开始，平衡车战士们一个个精神饱满、整装待发，只听裁判的一声：“开始!”大家霎时如同脱了缰绳的马儿一样向前冲去。

我一马当先，势如破竹，很快将他们远远甩在了身后，正当我得意扬扬，回头开心地望着这些慢吞吞的“蜗牛”时，只听马溪锴的一声：“看前面!”我回过头，但已经迟了，一个巨大的减速带向我扑过来，我当场被摔了个“狗啃泥”。马溪锴在后边乘人之危，追了上来，飞一般地超过了我，并嬉皮笑脸、幸灾乐祸地对我说：“哈哈!不听老人言，吃亏在眼前!”“可恶!这个马溪锴，你给我等着，我一定会再超过你的!”我气得咬牙切齿。

比赛仍在继续，虽然我用尽了全身力气奋力追赶，但仍然屈居第二名，终点就要到了，我仿佛看到了马溪锴夺冠后的喜悦，这时，听到“咚!”的一声，马溪锴摔倒在地，我欣喜若狂地冲过去一看，噢!原来是他的平衡车没电了，(平衡车是有电量限制的)，于是，我超过了他，成为了第一名。

就这样，这场激烈的平衡车竞速赛，在我们的欢声笑语中圆满地结束了。这场比赛，使我懂得了一个道理：做任何事情，当你失败时，不要气馁，要总结经验、吸取教训，当你取得暂时的胜利时，一定要谦虚谨慎、脚踏实地，千万不能狂妄自大、骄傲自满，否则就会前功尽弃、功亏一篑。

英语试卷满分150分，作文25分，占试卷总分的六分之一，表面看来不是很多，但是这25分相对于其他题型却比较容易获得，因此作文的写作技巧和方法十分重要。

一、英语写作的重要性

1.英语写作有益于扩充词汇量

口语所使用的语言一般是比较简单和常用的。而在用英语写作时，所使用的语言则是多种多样的。从极简单到较复杂的语言都要使用，所使用的词汇和句型也比口语中使用的相对要多，这对英语词汇量的扩充有很大帮助。

2.英语写作训练有助于提高逻辑思考及分析能力

写一篇作文，不论长短，都需要妥善地组织材料，得出结论，作到重点突出，条理清楚。这样，在锻炼写作能力的同时，也锻炼了分析与处理问题的能力。

3.英语写作有助于提高使用英语的准确性

只要写一个句子，更不用说一段，一篇，就要力求拼写，用词，句法，标点等完全正确，而且与前后句紧密连贯。写和说不同，写好后可以检查修改，而一次修改就是一次提高。写得越多，语言使用就会越准确。

4.英语写作有助于阅读，听力，口语，翻译等能力的提高

自己知道写作的甘苦，对别人的写作技巧就会乐于学习。分析问题的能力提高了，听别人说话就会善于抓住要点。语言质量提高了，口语也会准确很多。

二、如何写好一篇英语作文

1.打好扎实的英语语言基础

要写好英语作文，首先必须掌握一定数量的英语单词。此外还得掌握好一定的英语语法知识。若有不太清楚的地方，应通过查阅语法书和词典来逐步解决，不能偷懒，随便乱写。

2.广泛进行英语阅读

专业作家的秘密之一就是：阅读，阅读，再阅读。阅读其他人的文章，并不是为了如法炮制，但我们可以把从其他作品中学到的东西融化到自己的文体和技巧中 去。当我们发现一段文章比自己能写出的任何东西好得多的时候，坐下来，对它进行反复研究琢磨。就同一题目，这位作者做了哪些我们不能做到的事情?模仿别人 技术上的长处，对写作来说极有益处。但仅靠阅读是不行的，因为它可以被用作不动笔的借口，还会成为一种医学专用剂。因此要记住：阅读是为了写作。

3.掌握一定的英语写作技巧

英语写作有许多技巧，如怎样选词，造句，怎样展开段落，各种体裁的英语作文应怎样布局谋篇等。只有对这些基本的写作技巧加以掌握，才能在英语写作时得心应手。

4.多观察多分析

写的时候首先考虑内容问题，问问自己写什么，并用英语来思考，那么在英语写作时，便不至于找不到话写。

5.多练习

常言道：Practice makes perfect.俗话亦说：文章读十篇，不如写一篇。大凡知名作家并不是一开始就写出了惊人之作。他们的作品都是在艰苦的写作实践中得到提高的。我们在学 习英语写作时也应多练，可采取写英文日记，周记，课文摘要等形式加以训练，也可找个writ—ing partner(写作伙伴)相互督促，相互学习，相互提高。

三、如何在重大考试中写好作文

1.合理分配时间

大学英语四六级短文写作题规定时间是30分钟，所以应首先保证写作时间。虽然写作题是考试的最后一题，但一定要确保写作题的时间不被其它题目挤占。然而 在多次四六级考试监考中，我们发现很多同学在前面部分花费太多时间，以致于只有十几分钟甚至几分钟来写作文，写的效果和得分情况可想而知。其实我们可以自 己拟订一个方案：首先，7分钟左右审题，构思，拟订提纲;其次，20分钟写作;最后，3分钟左右检查修改。

2.审题

审题是写作成功与否的重要因素之一。一定要留出约3分钟左右的时间审题，构思，打腹稿，“凡事预则立，不预则废。”然而不少考生由于没掌握好时间，一拿 到作文题，便匆匆下笔，没有构思，结果想到哪写到哪，往往离题千里，事倍功半。所以一定要在动笔之前花几分钟，认真审题，仔细寻找题目提供的信息(包括英 文，中文，图画，数字等)，然后对这些信息加以认真分析，弄清题意，确定中心思想。

3.拟写提纲

一般应试作文要围绕提纲，首先要明白提纲的作用，一是告诉你应写什么，二是为你的内容或思想规定写作顺序，三是告诉你每段的内容;四是帮助你自始至终紧密围绕规定的主题。在拟写提纲时，首先要定好文章分几段写，各段的中心是什么，要用什么细节才能说明所规定好的中心。

4.正式作文

在正式作文时，应按所列的提纲来进行。写作还应注意以下几点：首先，一定要下工夫写好每一段的主题句，尤其是第一段的主题句。A good beginning makes a good ending.主题句能否写好关系着阅卷人对你的作文的第一印象。高考作文是分档给分，即阅卷人根据总体印象给出某一档的分数，然后再在这一档上下进行微 调。其次，要尽量保持卷面整洁。因为作文是人工评卷，卷面干净整洁会给阅卷人很好的印象，对提高分数档次很有好处。然而很多考生不注意标点，语法及单词大 小写，经常写了又划，划了又写，从而使卷面很糟糕而影响得分。因此一定不要轻视卷面整洁这一点。第三，一定要写够字数。字数不够扣分是很严格的。但是也应 注意行文简明扼要，层次分明，切忌写一些与主题无关的话来凑字数。有的考生写得杂乱无章，篇幅过长，使阅卷人看得心烦，这也不可取。第四，一定要沉着应 战，保持平静的心理状态。不要因为作文是最后一题，离交卷时间近就不停看表，造成不必要的紧张。考试时良好的心理状态是正常发挥的必要保证。

总之，英语写作固然难，但由于其具有举足轻重的作用，所以我们应该给予重视。“功夫不负有心人”，相信只要我们树立必胜的信心，持之以恒地练习，就一定会取得成效。
