读了这篇文章，我想起了我以前的一件事，那天，我正在写作业，忽然一道很难的题拦住了我，我怎么想也想不出来。最后，草草一填就结束了。检查时，也并没有把答案加以完善。而诺贝尔的这份严于律己正是我求之不得的呀！

海明威，美国作家，20世纪最著名的小说家之一。他的主要作品有《老人与海》、《太阳照常升起》、《七只铅笔》等等。他参加过三场战争，曾经经历过坠机，受过重伤。但是海明威并没有向命运屈服，无论环境多么恶劣，他都坚持创作，坚持自己的文学梦想。终于在1954年，《老人与海》为海明威夺得了诺贝尔文学奖。可冷热遗憾的是，1961年，由于疾病缠身，身心备受折磨，海明威把猎枪枪口塞进嘴里，结束了自己传奇的一生。

在海明威众多的作品中，我目前只看过《老人与海》看了这本书，那精彩的情节和生动的人物深深触动了我，使我的心久久不能平静。书中那位拥有非凡毅力的老渔夫让我懂得了做人不能向任何困难屈服，应该尽自己最大的努力与生活中的困难做不屈不挠的斗争。

书中的老渔夫所拥有的品质都使我非常羡慕，譬如说“毅力”，老渔夫一次又一次地想极限挑战，用尽平生本事去战胜它，即使失败了也毫不气馁。这都是我特别应该好好学习，好好反思的。我比较怕吃苦，在任何事情上（包括学习）只要有一点不顺利，我都会唉声叹气，不停地抱怨和退缩，现在想起自己的行为，真的很羞愧，所以我要学习老渔夫的精神！

During last summer vacation, I paid a visit to my uncle’s. It was the first time I had seen the sea. Tow years ago my uncle, a closed friend of my father, transferred from Shanxi to Yantai, a beautiful port city; and then my aunt joined him a couple months later. And a year later I became their guest and was going to stay with them for a week. I was fascinated by the vastness of the sea, the clean and soft sand on the beach, the seagulls flying in the sky and the beauty of the golden sunset clouds over the dark blue water. But I missed the sunrise each day, for I couldn’t get up early enough.

On the fifth day, the alarm clock woke me up when it was still dark outside, I hurried to the beach and stood in the cool breeze there, the sky was turning grey little by little, the sea was calm and all was so quiet that I felt I was surrounded by mysteries, then suddenly, in the faraway horizon, golden beans of light were shooting up into the sky.
