The Pilgrims were religious dissidents who fled oppression in England. They

went first to the Netherlands. Then they left that country to establish a colony

in North America. The Pilgrims landed in sixteen twenty in what later became

known as Plymouth, Massachusetts.

Their voyage across the Atlantic Ocean was difficult. Their first months in

America were difficult, too. About one hundred Pilgrims landed just as autumn

was turning to winter. During the cold months that followed, about half of them

died.

A Fairy Tale in Fall

roaming on the path among the trees， i threw my sentiment into the blue sky， which landed on the ground of my alma mater，and brought me back to the day three years ago.

that was a day in fall， that was a fall in my heart. shatters swung in the air， just like golden butterflies dancing in the breeze. the sunset cast her afterglow on the ground， as well as on her dazzling pink face. after a long silence， i looked into her clear eyes， whispered to her that i wondered whether i had a position in her future. she thought it for a while， walking back and forth. i noticed she trembled lips several times and let out no words. finally， she turned to me and flashed a wry smile："sorfy， i feel that distance makes beauty， lets just be good friends." i could never forget that sentence， just like a bolt from the blue. it hit me like a thousand knives stabbing all over my body. i couldnt breathe， i couldnt think， at least not about anything but the pain. gazing at her receding figure， i couldnt stop tears wetting my pale cheeks. the tale ended with the girls disappearance from my sight.

now fall comes again. i left myself nothing but the broken memories.

The university is full of talent, learning, and a small stage and small society full of competition and challenge. Every one of us plays a different role on this stage, so why dont we try to play the best part of our role! As a college student, we are eager to positive rather than blind impulse, bold and not wantonly recklessly, dare to think and not utopian, but not like you think of?? let us grasp the youth, to exercise their own here! Miss Hou is my university English teacher. Her English name is Jenny. She looks so weak that a strong wind may blow her away. She is not too tall, about 150cm. She is experiened of English teaching. She teaches me for three years.In the other word, she is the only English teacher during my high school study. She is special. She will show an English song to us before her class. A few days later, she will ask us to follow the singing on the tape. I can still remember some songs she taught us. It is strang that she looks so weak, but no one in my class will against her word. I think maybe is because her own personality.Everyone respects her. She is serious in work, so that our whole class’s English is good. Happily, she is our friend after class. She always palys badminton  with us. She is also ready to help us if we have any difficultiy. In my mind, a good teacher is more than a million books. And she will be my mentor forever.
