I read the Chinese version of “Camille” a few years ago. The Old Man and the Sea is one of Hemingways most enduring works and may very well become one of the true classics of this generation.It played a GREat part in his winning the Pulizer Prize in 1953 and the 1954 Novel Prize for Literature and confirmed his power and presence in the literary world. 从这本书的一个人物：刘姥姥说的几番话里可以看出，贾家当时的生活非常奢侈一次螃蟹宴，够刘姥姥吃上一年饭的钱，一个鸽子蛋一两银子，竟毫不珍惜的扔进垃圾桶。正是因为这样贾家才会败落，其中也有王熙凤的独裁。但这不是奢侈与腐败所导致的吗?现在有许多奢侈的人，不知节俭，在有些地方，人民非常穷，把浪费的东西堆积一块，可以是那里的人民富有起来。
