作为一名应届毕业生，也许我的知识有限，也许我还太年轻，缺乏实践经验，也许在某些方面我无法像其他人一样工作自如，但年轻意味着热情与活力。我没有太多经验，并不代表我不行。因为没有经验，反而更能让我将注意力集中在一件事情上，而不易受到外界干扰，保持自己的想法，保持自己的成就感。这样才会更有动力，才会是大的收获。我自信能凭自己的能力和学习在毕业以后的工作学习与生活中克服各种困难，不断实现人生价值与追求的目标。

人生与理想

尊敬的老师们，亲爱的同学们：

人生是什么?得意者说它是美酒，失意者说它是苦水，高贵者说它是彩虹，卑贱者说它是阴云。大仲马说：“人生就是不断地等待与希望。”

婴儿的第一声啼哭宣告了新生命的开始，人生由此开始。日日月月年年过去，你长大了，象牙塔已保护不了你脆弱的自尊，风风雨雨的日子接踵而来。狂风肆意卷刮着你满腹的壮志，暴雨狂乱冲涤着人万丈的豪情，你是蜷缩于空壳般的日子，一任现实摧毁你最美的憧憬，还是在风雨中重生，用现实作轨，再次踏上追梦的路途?人生路长，布满荆棘，险象还生，只有那些不畏艰险，披荆斩棘前进的人才能成功，才能实现人生的意义。

人生之路到底通向何方，这就要看人的理想如何。每一个青年，都应该有一个崇高的理想，就像一只航船，如果不扬起风帆，它就会失去前进的动力。那么风帆高悬，是不是就能“千里江陵一日还”了呢?其实不然。要是没有载舟之水也将是“欲渡黄河冰塞川”，失去了前进的条件。这个条件——实现理想的“载舟之水”，就是奋斗。我的理想便是北京的重点大学——清华大学，一个崇高的理想往往能催人奋发前进，发愤学习，成才可能实现理想，好的理想才能使人生变得更加有意义，才能使人生变得更加充实。我会沿着这个理想而努力奋斗的把理想转换为现实。

为了适应伟大历史时代的需要，我们要做个有理想有知为一种目标，一种动力，但必须要经过奋斗识的人，只有这样，才能“直挂风帆济沧海”，才能对祖国，对人民作出应有的贡献。

尊敬的老师、同学们：

大家好早上好!新年伊始，万象更新，我们送走了严冬，迎来了春天，又迎来了新的学期!

对于上一年，我们充满无限的怀念与感激。怀念我们的学习、工作和生活，感激我们的父母、老师和同学。对于新的一年，一个全新的起点，我们每个人都会有一种期盼：明天的我们要更精彩。

新的学期要有新的开始、要有新的希望。爱因斯坦说过“兴趣是真正的老师”。我希望同学们能够发现并培养自己的兴趣，因为兴趣才是主动学习和知识创新的真正来源,我们要抱有责任，全面发展 。刻苦学习的人并不是因为他懂得了要刻苦，而是因为他从来没有感觉到学习的苦，“刻苦”从来都是局外人对行为的概括，而不是刻苦者的自我心理感受。如果父母是破浪的帆船，老师就是雾中的灯塔;如果你是沸腾的钢水，纪律就是规整的模mu2子;如果你是冲天的雄鹰，学校就是你翱翔的天空，人生——还需要你自己来演绎。

电光一闪，一年已然过去。我们又翻开了新的篇章。昨日的失败与辉煌已经过去，关键是把握今天。我们不需要灰心,因为雄鹰翱翔于天空，难免会伤折飞翼，骏马奔驰于大地难免失蹄折骨。只有站在高处的人，才有资格跌下去，而跌下去时，你我依然有尊严，那足以让站着的人感到汗颜。

同学们，松弛的神经又该绷紧了，床头的闹钟又将激起清晨的奏鸣，久违了的灯下又该呈现我们的身影，我们很清楚，前方的路不可能平坦，只会更曲折，更艰险，随着学识的增加，竞争的压力也会日益增进，但我们决不会畏缩，每个人所受的外部压力是相等的，轻松与否是心态的不同而已，以平常心去面对，我们可以变得更强。老师用毕生的心血、汗水和智慧浇灌了我们这一棵棵树苗;我们没有理由，也不应该不茁壮成长。尊敬的老师，请您们放心，在这一个新的学习阶段里，我们一定更加努力，倍加珍惜您们的辛劳和付出，我们定向您交上一份满意的答卷!

在这里，我也想告诉高三的朋友们：你们是等待破茧的蛹，是准备接受6月洗礼的海燕，是将要地考场上实现诺曼底登陆的战士!已经等待了整整十一个春秋，今天同时是你们冲刺的时候了。夸父追日，道渴而死;精卫填海，矢志不渝。坚持到底，我们绝不放弃!

新学期，新气象，今天，我们又踏上了新的征程。让我们在这新一轮朝阳升起的时刻，为了我们的理想共同努力!

Faculty, family, friends, and fellow graduates, good evening.

I am honored to address you tonight. On behalf of the graduating masters and doctoral students of Washington Universitys School of Engineering and Applied Science, I would like to thank all the parents, spouses, families, and friends who encouraged and supported us as we worked towards our graduate degrees. I would especially like to thank my own family, eight members of which are in the audience today. I would also like to thank all of the department secretaries and other engineering school staff members who always seemed to be there when confused graduate students needed help. And finally I would like to thank the Washington University faculty members who served as our instructors, mentors, and friends.

As I think back on the seven-and-a-half years I spent at Washington University, my mind is filled with memories, happy, sad, frustrating, and even humorous.

Tonight I would like to share with you some of the memories that I take with me as I leave Washington University.

I take with me the memory of my office on the fourth floor of Lopata Hall - the room at the end of the hallway that was too hot in summer, too cold in winter, and always too far away from the womens restroom. The window was my offices best feature. Were it not for the physics building across the way, it would have afforded me a clear view of the arch. But instead I got a view of the roof of the physics building. I also had a view of one corner of the roof of Urbauer Hall, which seemed to be a favorite perch for various species of birds who alternately won perching rights for several weeks at a time. And I had a nice view of the physics courtyard, noteworthy as a good place for watching people run their dogs. Its amazing how fascinating these views became the longer I worked on my dissertation. But my favorite view was of a nearby oak tree. From my fourth-floor vantage point I had a rather intimate view of the tree and the various birds and squirrels that inhabit it. Occasionally a bird would land on my window sill, which usually had the effect of startling both of us.

I take with me the memory of two young professors who passed away while I was a graduate student. Anne Johnstone, the only female professor from whom I took a course in the engineering school, and Bob Durr, a political science professor and a member of my dissertation committee, both lost brave battles with cancer. I remember them fondly.

I take with me the memory of failing the first exam in one of the first engineering courses I took as an undergraduate. I remember thinking the course was just too hard for me and that I would never be able to pass it. So I went to talk to the professor, ready to drop the class. And he told me not to give up, he told me I could succeed in his class. For reasons that seemed completely ludicrous at the time, he said he had faith in me. And after that my grades in the class slowly improved, and I ended the semester with an A on the final exam. I remember how motivational it was to know that someone believed in me.

I take with me memories of the midwestern friendliness that so surprised me when I arrived in St. Louis 8 years ago. Since moving to New Jersey, I am sad to say, nobody has asked me where I went to high school.

I take with me the memory of the short-lived computer science graduate student social committee lunches. The idea was that groups of CS grad students were supposed to take turns cooking a monthly lunch. But after one grad student prepared a pot of chicken that poisoned almost the entire CS grad student population and one unlucky faculty member in one fell swoop, there wasnt much enthusiasm for having more lunches.

I take with me the memory of a more successful graduate student effort, the establishment of the Association of Graduate Engineering Students, known as AGES. Started by a handful of engineering graduate students because we needed a way to elect representatives to a campus-wide graduate student government, AGES soon grew into an organization that now sponsors a wide variety of activities and has been instrumental in addressing a number of engineering graduate student concerns.

I take with me the memory of an Engineering and Policy department that once had flourishing programs for full-time undergraduate, masters, and doctoral students.

I take with me memories of the 1992 U.S. Presidential debate. Eager to get involved in all the excitement I volunteered to help wherever needed. I remember spending several days in the makeshift debate HQ giving out-of-town reporters directions to the athletic complex. I remember being thrilled to get assigned the job of collecting film from the photographers in the debate hall during the debate. And I remember the disappointment of drawing the shortest straw among the student volunteers and being the one who had to take the film out of the debate hall and down to the dark room five minutes into the debate - with no chance to re-enter the debate hall after I left.

I take with me memories of university holidays which never seemed to apply to graduate students. I remember spending many a fall break and Presidents Day holiday with my fellow grad students in all day meetings brought to us by the computer science department.

I take with me memories of exams that seemed designed more to test endurance and perseverance than mastery of the subject matter. I managed to escape taking any classes that featured infamous 24-hour-take-home exams, but remember the suffering of my less fortunate colleagues. And what doctoral student could forget the pain and suffering one must endure to survive the qualifying exams?

I take with me the memory of the seven-minute rule, which always seemed to be an acceptable excuse for being ten minutes late for anything on campus, but which doesnt seem to apply anywhere else I go.

I take with me the memory of Friday afternoon ACM happy hours, known not for kegs of beer, but rather bowls of rainbow sherbet punch. Over the several years that I attended these happy hours they enjoyed varying degrees of popularity, often proportional to the quality and quantity of the accompanying refreshments - but there was always the rainbow sherbert punch.

I take with me memories of purple parking permits, the West Campus shuttle, checking my pendaflex, over-due library books, trying to print from cec, lunches on Delmar, friends who slept in their offices, miniature golf in Lopata Hall, The Greenway Talk, division III basketball, and trying to convince Dean Russel that yet another engineering school rule should be changed.

Finally, I would like to conclude, not with a memory, but with some advice. What would a graduation speech be without a little advice, right? Anyway, this advice comes in the form of a verse delivered to the 1977 graduating class of Lake Forest College by Theodore Seuss Geisel, better known to the world as Dr. Seuss - Heres how it goes:

My uncle ordered popovers

from the restaurants bill of fare.

And when they were served,

he regarded them

with a penetrating stare . . .

Then he spoke great Words of Wisdom

as he sat there on that chair:

"To eat these things,"

said my uncle,

"you must excercise great care.

You may swallow down whats solid . . .

BUT . . .

you must spit out the air!"

And . . .

as you partake of the worlds bill of fare,

thats darned good advice to follow.

Do a lot of spitting out the hot air.

And be careful what you swallow.

“轻眉，你到台上不能够紧张。”妈妈边开车边对我说。我今天就要去演讲比赛了。这可是我第一次比赛，我的心不禁有些紧张。

比赛的现场终于到了。妈妈连拖带拽地把我拉进了比赛的现场。这里正中央是一个讲台，讲台前坐着十几名评委。我的心都要跳出来了，要是我没演好，那可怎么办？我战战兢兢地看着妈妈，比赛的时间快到了呀！

我待在台下，看着时间的流逝。突然，一个声音打破了现场的静谧。“下面请吕轻眉小朋友上台。”我听到这一声响，赶忙去看妈妈，想让她给我一些鼓励。妈妈却不知跑哪去了。我咬了咬牙，握了握拳头，擦去了汗，硬着头皮闯了上去。开始，我低着头，不敢吱一下声，可是我又不能不演讲了（因为我已经上台了）。于是我努力地抬起头，心却像只兔子一样，跳个不停。我看着评委们，倒吸了一口凉气。我的天哪！台下有老师，有评委，有参赛者。我一定要证明我是最棒的！我鼓起勇气，用响亮的声音念出了台词。顿时，我的心儿跳得更快了，全场爆发出了一阵热烈的响亮的掌声，全场都鼓励了我，为我鼓掌，我的脸上也洋溢着笑容。

妈妈听见了掌声，笑呵呵地看着我的脸，说：“如果你有自信，你就一定能行！”是啊，只要自信，我就一定可以做到。

至于清华和北大距离世界一流大学究竟有多远，这位青年代表引用了两校广为流传的段子，薛教授也十分自然地接道，“隔一条街嘛”。而对于两校“相爱相杀”之说，薛教授十分可爱地说道，“我们没有相杀，我们全都是爱”，惹得大家欢笑一片。

回到严肃的问题，薛教授认为，目前中国的大学在各方面都取得了很大的进步，一些具体项目更是位居世界前列，成果喜人。

而且，除了科研，大学更重要的是对学生价值观的塑造，要尽一切可能，培养对社会有用的、正能量的人才。“我们有很多长处，也有短板”，状态是乐观的，道路也是漫长的，“应该静下心来，用积极的态度去看待排名，好的继续推进，弱的赶紧补上。”正如现场提问嘉宾总结的，“别管排名有没有，昂首阔步往前走”。

提问环节，有观众说，读薛教授的研究生，研一只能扫地，研二就可以擦桌子了。

薛其坤解释道，物理实验的成功离不开扎实的基本功，研究生一年级，学生都要认真学习理论基础，到了研二以后，就可以进实验室跟着高年级同学学习技术，但仍不能马上操作仪器，这时难免会有学长学姐请你帮忙擦地，算是小插曲。

主持人打趣道“看来研一也还不能扫地，得等研二呢。”观众席一片笑声，在这欢笑中我们也懂得了薛教授对基本功的重视。

敬爱的老师、同学们：

大家好！今天，我演讲的题目是：《文明礼仪》。礼仪是无处不在的，它可以表现出一个人的道德修养，也可以增进人与人之间的友谊。大家都知道，我们中国是人类历史上四大文明古国之一，是一个历史悠久的礼仪之邦。中华民族五千年的发展历程，代代传承了许许多多的传统和美德。从孔融让梨到张良拜师，从周总理为中华之崛起而读书到做好事不留名的雷锋叔叔，他们都是中华民族传统美德的具体体现，他们为我们树立了榜样，是我们每一位小学生应该学习的楷模！

作为一名新世纪的小学生，作为祖国的花朵、世界的未来，我们必须做一名文明的小学生！但是，如何才能做一名文明的小学生呢？我们首先要着装得体，符合学生身份，体现出新世纪学生篷勃向上的风采，因为仪表、仪容、仪态可以让人一看便知道你的修养；遇到老师、同学，主动问好；上下楼梯，人多拥挤，注意谦让；讲究卫生，不乱扔果皮，见到纸屑随时捡起；爱护公物，不乱写乱划；在与同学的交往中，能和睦相处，共同学习。做到得理让人，失理道歉，相互尊重，相互信任；家里来了客人，热情、大方、有礼貌地招待；在外面，遵守交通法规，不乱扔果皮纸屑，保护环境卫生；尊老爱幼，帮助别人，做到处处为别人着想。

让我们一起努力，做一名穿戴整齐、懂礼貌、不乱扔垃圾的小学生。我的演讲结束了，谢谢大家。

老师同学们：

天高云淡，秋风送爽。值此黄金季节，举国上下喜迎国庆佳节和党的十六大召开之际，我们梅河口市第十一中学隆重举行第十七届田径运动会。请允许我代表梅河口市第十一中学全体师生，向百忙之中前来我校参加运动会的各级领导和来宾，表示衷心感谢，并致以崇高的敬礼。!

本届运动会是，把我们贯彻落实党的教育方针的情况和素质教育情况，向各级领导和来宾做以全面汇报的大会。

几年来，我校在上级党政领导的关怀和指导下，在各兄弟学校和广大学生家长以及社会各界仁人志士的关心和支持下，在广大师生齐心努力下，教育教学工作取得了可喜的成绩。特别是连续几年大专院校升学率趋于稳步上升阶段。这一点，是值得我们大家庆贺。

但是，我们要认识到“逆水行舟，不进则退”的道理。我们决不能满足现状、停滞不前。我们的社会日新月异，正处在急速发展时期。我国加入世贸组织之后，各行各业都力争在短时期内与世界接轨。我校作为省重点中学，如果要想保持其荣誉和地位，就要不断深入进行教育教学改革，就要开拓创新，与时俱进，就要不断加强素质教育，就要不断提高教育教学质量，就要不断提高升学率，把更多的学生送往好大学、名牌大学。我们还要充分认识到，“教育也是一种产业”的道理。我们要以这种理念去谋求我们的生存和发展。

为此，我们师生员工就要加倍努力奋斗。我们的教师，要从以增强科技知识教课的纯授业型教师转化为研究使学生怎样学习，研究培养什么样的学生的研究型教师;我们的学生，要从一味跟着老师的鹦鹉学舌型转化为怎样学习，将来要做怎样的人这样一类主动型学生。

这是我借本届运动会向全校师生发自内心的忠告。

我希望全体师生人人以爱为本，以诚相待，齐心协力开好运动会。本届运动会应该是一个教职员工全身心为学生服务的大课堂，是一个全体学生充分发挥各自特长的大课堂。

“不到长城非好汉。”我相信，我们只要团结一致，共同努力，我们所想到的就定能一个一个变成现实。

预祝大会圆满成功。

老妈是个丢三落四的人，幸亏我这个小助理时刻关心着她。

有一次，我们去上海旅游，妈妈不小心把手机忘在宾馆的房间里了，走到半路，她突然想起手机忘拿了，气冲冲地数落了我一顿，又“命令”老爸回去拿。这时，我偷偷笑了，变戏法似的从口袋里掏出妈妈的手机，向着她晃了晃。原来，我早就发现妈妈忘了手机，不露声色地把手机放在了自己的口袋里，想给妈妈一个惊喜，妈妈毫不领情，气急败坏地叨叨开了：“你怎么不早点拿出来，你想急死我！”我反问道：“你自己怎么不拿呢？”妈妈这下被我噎得哑口无言。

还有一次，是过年前吧，妈妈准备了一沓百元大钞，准备孝敬爷爷奶奶，结果一时着急，竟然拿错了，拿成一个空的红包，幸好我眼尖，顺手拿起那个红包，塞在了老爸的包里，到爷爷奶奶家，妈妈说：“我给你们准备了一千块钱过年，你们自己买点想要的东西吧！”她掏出了红包，不由得瞪大了双眼，惊奇地叫了起来：“咦，怎么是空的，钱呢？傻丫头，是不是你拿的？”在妈妈的逼问下，我忍不住“噗嗤”一声笑了出来，从爸爸的包里拿出红包，递给妈妈，她敲了一下我的头：“就你最机灵，想看我闹笑话！”爸爸也忍不住笑了出来，父女两个笑到腰也弯了，妈妈一看，羞红了脸，追着爸爸说：“不许笑，不许笑！”看着这般情景，我忍不住又哈哈大笑起来。

妈妈经常丢三落四，这时，细心的我就变成了妈妈的小助理，提醒她带东西。

敬爱的老师、亲爱的同学：

大家好!今天我演讲的题目是《回看历史振我中华》。

历史的风，吹翻起六十八年前的那一页。在我的眼前，历历浮现出，那冰雪覆盖的1935年，那悲痛岁月里的冷嗖嗖的日子。日本帝国主义大肆张开它的魔爪，伸向了我中华的心脏：华北大地;而此时，卑怯可笑的国民党却居然畏于帝国主义的淫威，准备成立“冀察政务委员会”，来满足一时的苟且偷安。我感到了卖国者的卑鄙与可耻。

中华民族，你，陷于内忧外困之中，你的尊严倍受挑衅，你的躯体将被蹂躏。在这样的时刻，我们总是默默企盼：企盼奇迹诞生;在这样的时刻，我们总是默默祈祷：祈祷我们的民族，能够转危为安，能够走出泥泞与困境，驱散开这漫漫的黑云。而让我，让我们所有中国人最感骄傲的事情是：我们从来没有失望过一次。在倍受屈辱的民族的背后，总有我们中华的优秀儿女挺身而起。

我为你们感到骄傲，我们优秀的中华儿女，你是我们民族的灵魂，我们民族的脊梁;如果，如果我们的民族，没有你，它的生命将是如何的暗淡，它将会走向何等可怕的深渊啊!你以你坚毅不挠的行动，告诉所有的居心叵测的人：中国人是不可辱的，中华民族是不可辱的。中国人将为国而生、为国而战、甚至为国而死。

虽然，我们古老的中国像一艘搁浅的大船，尽管沉重，尽管缓慢，但依然还坚挺着前进的风帆。

同学们，为国而生、为国而战、甚至为国而死，才是一个人最大的骄傲;谁如果在心里没有自己的祖国，谁就不属于人类。

又是一年春来到，带来了大自然的万物复苏和欣欣向荣。3月12日,那是一个营造绿色环境，期待绿水青山，呼唤人们爱护环境的特别日子----植树节。我要赞美绿色，因为有了藻类到参天大树，才使荒芜的地球生机勃勃，才有了动物，才有了人类。

我国是一个绿化面积很低的国家，不到世界平均水平的一半。但是，我国的木材的砍伐量却是世界第一，森林面积不断减少。所以我们更应该珍惜绿色生命，爱护绿化.从自己做起，从身边做起，我们不仅要节约纸张，少用一次性筷子之外，更要多多植树，绿化祖国。作为一名小学生我们不仅应该做到为校园栽上一棵小树，给花圃增添一朵鲜花，为草皮浇上一盆清水.更应该为保护校园美丽的环境和城市景色出一份力气，尽一点责任.

我期待有一天，清澈的河流漫游着鱼群，在清澈的小河里欢快游淌，鸟儿在枝头放声鸣唱，寂静的春天不再寂静。期待有一天，狂暴的洪水不再咆哮，灼人的热浪不再肆虐。期待有一天，每一个山谷都盛开希望之花，每一条小溪都跳着欢乐之舞，所有的荒原都变成绿洲，所有的生命都得到上天的关爱和人类的善待。

我坚信，如果我们每人都来积极植树,我们的城市将更加美丽!我们祖国的明天也必将更加美丽!

各位老师、同学们：

早上好!今天我讲话的题目是《清明时节忆先烈》。

严冬在春风中消退，岁月在奋斗中远去，不知不觉又是一年清明时。刚刚过去的清明节是国家重新修订节假日制度后，第一个与传统节日相关的法定节假日。

清明既是节日也是节气之一，这是唯一一个与二十四节气重合的节日。每年4月5日前后，我国黄河中下游及其以南地区平均气温一般在10℃以上。这时我们大部分地区气候温暖、草木萌茂，改变冬季寒冷枯黄的景象。清明一到，气温升高，雨量增多，正是春耕春种的大好时节，故有“清明前后，点瓜种豆”、“植树造林，莫过清明”的农谚。春光明媚、草木吐绿的清明时节，也是人们春游、踏青的好时机。

清明节是我国民间重要的传统节日，这是一个纪念祖先的节日，祭祖和扫墓是清明节中的的重要仪式，历代沿袭成为中华民族一种固定的风俗。“清明时节雨纷纷，路上行人欲断魂”，每当这个特殊的时候，人们都会倍加思念已经死去的亲人。清明前后，每个家庭都会在长辈的带领下，为先祖扫墓，既是为传承每一家生生不息的家风和美德，也是慎终追远、敦亲睦族及行孝的具体表现。

清明节也是民族扫墓节。在这个唤来春风慰忠魂的特殊日子里，每一所学校，都会举行庄重的祭扫仪式，虔诚而肃穆地追念那些创造新中国、建设新中国的革命先辈。上周星期三的下午初一年级全体同学前往扬州市烈士陵园，举行了“弘扬先烈精神，树立远大理想”的的清明节扫墓活动。清明，无论是小家还是大家，在中国人心中，都有一个朴素的思想，就是不忘历史，不忘先辈。

目前，世界上已经有100多个国家和地区缺水，我们中国也在其中。全国600多座城市中，有300多座城市缺水，严重的有108座！

Last week, I took part in an English speech contest which was held by our teachers. There were twelve students in the final contest. I was one of them.

Fifteen minutes before my turn, I picked my topic and prepared for it. I wrote down the outlines and organized what I was going to say. However, when I stood in front of all judges and students, I was extremely nervous. My mind was totally empty.

Then I took a deep breath to relax myself and started my speech. The result was not as good as I expected, but I preferred to regard it as a challenge to myself, whose process was the most important for me. I can learn a lot from this contest. I am sure I will be better next time.

香港人的务实，从香港“高考”的作文题目中可见一斑。新闻稿、建议书、演讲辞……这些明显打着“实用”标签的题目，正是近年来香港中学文凭考试（即大学入学考试）的作文题。

香港“高考”的作文题一般是“三选一”。2010年的考题之一，是要求考生以旅游局推广主任的名义呈交一篇建议书，提出振兴旅游业的策略和方法；2011年则是让学生“化身”为关注食物卫生委员会的成员，应邀发表演讲，评论食物安全的新规和教育。
