Faculty, family, friends, and fellow graduates, good evening.

I am honored to address you tonight. On behalf of the graduating masters and doctoral students of Washington Universitys School of Engineering and Applied Science, I would like to thank all the parents, spouses, families, and friends who encouraged and supported us as we worked towards our graduate degrees. I would especially like to thank my own family, eight members of which are in the audience today. I would also like to thank all of the department secretaries and other engineering school staff members who always seemed to be there when confused graduate students needed help. And finally I would like to thank the Washington University faculty members who served as our instructors, mentors, and friends.

As I think back on the seven-and-a-half years I spent at Washington University, my mind is filled with memories, happy, sad, frustrating, and even humorous.

Tonight I would like to share with you some of the memories that I take with me as I leave Washington University.

I take with me the memory of my office on the fourth floor of Lopata Hall - the room at the end of the hallway that was too hot in summer, too cold in winter, and always too far away from the womens restroom. The window was my offices best feature. Were it not for the physics building across the way, it would have afforded me a clear view of the arch. But instead I got a view of the roof of the physics building. I also had a view of one corner of the roof of Urbauer Hall, which seemed to be a favorite perch for various species of birds who alternately won perching rights for several weeks at a time. And I had a nice view of the physics courtyard, noteworthy as a good place for watching people run their dogs. Its amazing how fascinating these views became the longer I worked on my dissertation. But my favorite view was of a nearby oak tree. From my fourth-floor vantage point I had a rather intimate view of the tree and the various birds and squirrels that inhabit it. Occasionally a bird would land on my window sill, which usually had the effect of startling both of us.

I take with me the memory of two young professors who passed away while I was a graduate student. Anne Johnstone, the only female professor from whom I took a course in the engineering school, and Bob Durr, a political science professor and a member of my dissertation committee, both lost brave battles with cancer. I remember them fondly.

I take with me the memory of failing the first exam in one of the first engineering courses I took as an undergraduate. I remember thinking the course was just too hard for me and that I would never be able to pass it. So I went to talk to the professor, ready to drop the class. And he told me not to give up, he told me I could succeed in his class. For reasons that seemed completely ludicrous at the time, he said he had faith in me. And after that my grades in the class slowly improved, and I ended the semester with an A on the final exam. I remember how motivational it was to know that someone believed in me.

I take with me memories of the midwestern friendliness that so surprised me when I arrived in St. Louis 8 years ago. Since moving to New Jersey, I am sad to say, nobody has asked me where I went to high school.

I take with me the memory of the short-lived computer science graduate student social committee lunches. The idea was that groups of CS grad students were supposed to take turns cooking a monthly lunch. But after one grad student prepared a pot of chicken that poisoned almost the entire CS grad student population and one unlucky faculty member in one fell swoop, there wasnt much enthusiasm for having more lunches.

I take with me the memory of a more successful graduate student effort, the establishment of the Association of Graduate Engineering Students, known as AGES. Started by a handful of engineering graduate students because we needed a way to elect representatives to a campus-wide graduate student government, AGES soon grew into an organization that now sponsors a wide variety of activities and has been instrumental in addressing a number of engineering graduate student concerns.

I take with me the memory of an Engineering and Policy department that once had flourishing programs for full-time undergraduate, masters, and doctoral students.

I take with me memories of the 1992 U.S. Presidential debate. Eager to get involved in all the excitement I volunteered to help wherever needed. I remember spending several days in the makeshift debate HQ giving out-of-town reporters directions to the athletic complex. I remember being thrilled to get assigned the job of collecting film from the photographers in the debate hall during the debate. And I remember the disappointment of drawing the shortest straw among the student volunteers and being the one who had to take the film out of the debate hall and down to the dark room five minutes into the debate - with no chance to re-enter the debate hall after I left.

I take with me memories of university holidays which never seemed to apply to graduate students. I remember spending many a fall break and Presidents Day holiday with my fellow grad students in all day meetings brought to us by the computer science department.

I take with me memories of exams that seemed designed more to test endurance and perseverance than mastery of the subject matter. I managed to escape taking any classes that featured infamous 24-hour-take-home exams, but remember the suffering of my less fortunate colleagues. And what doctoral student could forget the pain and suffering one must endure to survive the qualifying exams?

I take with me the memory of the seven-minute rule, which always seemed to be an acceptable excuse for being ten minutes late for anything on campus, but which doesnt seem to apply anywhere else I go.

I take with me the memory of Friday afternoon ACM happy hours, known not for kegs of beer, but rather bowls of rainbow sherbet punch. Over the several years that I attended these happy hours they enjoyed varying degrees of popularity, often proportional to the quality and quantity of the accompanying refreshments - but there was always the rainbow sherbert punch.

I take with me memories of purple parking permits, the West Campus shuttle, checking my pendaflex, over-due library books, trying to print from cec, lunches on Delmar, friends who slept in their offices, miniature golf in Lopata Hall, The Greenway Talk, division III basketball, and trying to convince Dean Russel that yet another engineering school rule should be changed.

Finally, I would like to conclude, not with a memory, but with some advice. What would a graduation speech be without a little advice, right? Anyway, this advice comes in the form of a verse delivered to the 1977 graduating class of Lake Forest College by Theodore Seuss Geisel, better known to the world as Dr. Seuss - Heres how it goes:

My uncle ordered popovers

from the restaurants bill of fare.

And when they were served,

he regarded them

with a penetrating stare . . .

Then he spoke great Words of Wisdom

as he sat there on that chair:

"To eat these things,"

said my uncle,

"you must excercise great care.

You may swallow down whats solid . . .

BUT . . .

you must spit out the air!"

And . . .

as you partake of the worlds bill of fare,

thats darned good advice to follow.

Do a lot of spitting out the hot air.

And be careful what you swallow.

最后，还要通过一些有意义的活动(如辩论赛、演讲赛等)，丰富同学们的课余生活，让大家在轻松愉悦的氛围中学习生活。

大家好，还有两天就是“五一”国际劳动节了，我先给大家讲讲劳动节的来历：“五一”国际劳动节起源于美国。1886年5月1日，美国工人举行大罢工，要求改善劳动条件，实行每天八小时工作制。工人们团结战斗，夺得了罢工的胜利。人们为了纪念这次胜利，就把这一天定为国际劳动节，全世界的劳动者从此有了自己的节日。现在，劳动者已经成为我们国家的主人，劳动条件极大改善，因此每年的“五一”国际劳动节，成为赞美劳动者、歌颂劳动的节日。

我们现在还是小学生，纪念“五一”国际劳动节，首先应当牢记自己的学习使命。培养高尚的情操，掌握丰富的知识，学会更多的技能，为将来成为一名优秀的劳动者打下坚实的基础。知识就是力量，今天我们学会的知识越多，将来就能够为祖国、为人民作出更多的贡献。

其次，我们应该从小养成爱劳动的好习惯。在家里，自己的衣服自己穿，自己的床铺自己折，自己的书包自己理;在学校，积极打扫卫生，时刻保持环境的整洁;在社会上，积极参加力所能及的公益活动，培养自己的适应能力。

还有我们要珍惜劳动成果。“谁知盘中餐，粒粒皆辛苦”。我们要从身边的小事做起，不浪费每一粒米、每一滴水、每一分钱。

大家好！

我今天非常高兴能够参加班上的这次班干部竞选活动。我这次竞选的目标是担任班体育委员。

大家都知道，体育委员当然是要负责班里的体育事务，包括做操、上体育课、比赛等等；另外，尤其要在体育方面能起模范、表率作用。出于上述考虑，因此，我觉得担任体育委员的同学必须具备以下几点素质：

一、自己要具有良好的体育条件，取得过优秀的体育成绩；

二、要有强烈的责任感，热心为班集体做贡献，热心帮助老师和同学们做些力所能及的工作，热心主动地帮助有困难的同学；

三、嗓音要响亮。

我觉得我自己就具备上述要求，是一个很合格的体育委员人选。因为我每学期的体育成绩都非常优秀，两次参加校运会都取得了优异的成绩：共参加过6个体育项目，每个项目都取得了奖牌，共获得了3枚银牌、3枚铜牌！这不仅为班级体争得了荣誉，而且也证明了我在体育方面的不容争辩的势力！另外，我一贯地乐于助人，关心班集体，具有很强的集体荣誉感。还有一点，就是我的嗓音非常响亮，加上我7年的舞蹈功底，体操动作非常规范；因此，我是班里最合适的领操员。我还曾经当过一个学期的体育委员，在这个职位上积累了一定的经验。假如我能够当选，我一定会更加努力。

同学们，我们今天生活在幸福的家庭里，但我们不能忘记，以前的旧中国所蒙受的耻辱。

1860年10月6日英法联军闯入北京圆明园事件。他们把圆明园内凡是能拿走的，统统掠走;拿不动的，就用牲口搬运;实在运不走的，的就任意破坏、毁掉。在10月18日和19日他们为了销毁证据，竟然放火烧了圆明园!这一园林艺术瑰宝、建筑艺术的精华，就化成一片灰烬。现在给我们留下的只是几根孤零零的残柱和无尽的愤怒与惋惜。

1931年9月18日，日本关东军制造“柳条湖事件”(也就是九一八事变)。一周内，关东军占领辽宁、吉林两省的30座城市，并完全控制了12条铁路线。此次事变导致日本走上全面侵华的道路，实行了14年之久的殖民统治，使东北同胞饱受亡国奴的痛苦滋味，因此被中国民众视为国耻。

沧海桑田，风雨坎坷，伟大的祖国历尽磨难。我们肩负着崇高的使命。少年兴则国兴，少年强则国强。同学们，我们是21世纪的栋梁，是祖国的花朵，我们一定要努力学习，让祖国更加美好。“不忘国耻，振兴中华!”让这句话永远铭记在我们的心里，永不忘记，激励我们奋发图强。让我们为中国之崛起而读书，为中国之崛起而奋斗!

瞧!那是中国五千年的传统文化，那是历史悠久的古老建筑，这些让我自豪!但这些光辉的历史后面，有着无数人的鲜血和汗水。“我们铭记着中华母亲的功德，更不忘她承受的千灾百难。”为什么会有这么多的战争呢?就是应为哪些侵略者看中了中国这块宝地。“九·一八事变、南京大屠杀、不平等条约……那一件件令我们刻骨铭心的事件!令我们悲愤!

“啊!是七月的星火，南湖的航船，让东方雄狮从噩梦中奋起。”那一个个历史的伟人，在我们心中永驻。

“为中华之崛起而读书。”这句话已深深刻在我的心中，我正是用这句话来鞭策自己。从今往后，我们要发奋图强，让中国在世界上驻足!将中国以前承受的灾难改写成如今的辉煌!

让先辈们以前憧憬的变成现实。“让先辈的英灵自豪的惊叹：啊!这就是我的中华!”

所谓诚信，就是指诚实守信，表里如一，言行一致。

我国古代的大教育家、哲学家、思想家孔子曾经以言警世：“人而无信，不知其可也。”明代学者也有这样的表述：“身不正，不足以服；言不诚，不足以动。”就是说，行为不正的人，不被人信服；言语不诚实的人，不必与他人共事。

一个诚信的人，是一个胸怀坦荡的人，是一个有高尚品德的人。“无诚则无德，无信事难成”。在社会主义文明高度发展、人与人相处难见真情的今天，诚信品质尤为重要。

诚信是一个国家，一个社会，一个民族生存的必备条件。一个国家政权的真正强大，并不完全取决于财政收入，也不完全取决于军队的力量，而是取决于社会的品质。一个国家，一个社会，一个民族最重要的品质是诚信。诚信的社会品质，是一个民族强大的动力源泉。高尚的品格是一个国家和民族的魅力所在，是一个国家和社会走向强大的理由。

诚信是上天赐给世人的一种考验。有许多人不能通过这场考验，逃匿了；也有许多人通过了这场考验，戴上了桂冠。逃匿的人随这时间的消逝而消逝，没留下些什么；通过得人也会消逝，但他们却仍活在人们的心中，人们会把他抬举得很高很高。

诚信是道德建设的根本，也是非常宝贵的资源。社会之所以成为一个整体，诚信起着重要的作用。在古人眼里的“一诺千金”可以说价值连城。缺少了诚信这种宝贵的资源，人们的能力、智慧、正直、善良之心就难以维护，这个社会，这个人也就缺少了存在的依据和发展的空间。

试想，如果社会缺失了诚信，每个成员都将生活在恐惧、步履小心的怀疑境地：早上起床吃早餐你会问，牛奶是不是病奶牛产的？包子里面的肉是否可靠？听到某著名公司产值大增的新闻报道，你不禁要问是媒体虚假宣传还是公司的战略浮夸？去银行存钱，营业员把你递的钱从验钞机里过了一遍又一遍，看是否有假币；去超市买东西，对找你的钱看了又看，担心遭到暗算……

“人不信于一时，则不信于一世”。诚信对一个人而言，有时候与眼前利益相斥，很多人缺失一种长远的眼光来看待诚信，实际上，诚信只有一次，只要你有一次丧失了诚信，你的信任度就会下降，甚至还会出现信任危机。

然而，在我们身边缺失诚信的事情却时有发生：虚假广告横行天下；劣质商品充斥市场；考生作弊现象严重；“豆腐*”工程造成无数人间悲剧……难怪时常有人对某些真实的消息产生怀疑，甚至有调查显示，“信用危机”已成为阻碍中国经济发展的一大因素。

“重诺守信，人必近之；狡诈欺蒙，人必远之”。我们应该远离而虞我诈，圆滑世故，多一份真诚，多一点信任，脚踏一方诚信的净土，浇灌出人生最美丽的花朵。

愿我们所有的人都把诚信之心携带在人生的道路上，让诚信的人生散发出金子般的人格光芒，夯筑起人生坚不可摧的铜墙铁壁！

In my early years, I did not see the value of education.

When I was going on thirteen, I started to run my own shop. From then on, I worked hard to become a successful businessman.

One day I realized the importance of the English language in the business world and started taking night classes.

I was able to communicate well with foreign customers after two years of English study. But I started to feel that, in the long run, having a limited knowledge of English was not enough to make my business successful. I knew that only a well- rounded education could guarantee my success in the future.

When I was eighteen, I had to make a decision to continue doing business or go back to school. There was one obstacle keeping me from getting an advanced education. I had only completed elementary school up to that point. I then went back to senior high school after four months of tutoring in different subjects. Being at school for the first time after so many years was somewhat embarrassing because my classmates were at least two or three years younger than I. I concluded that my age did not matter. The important thing was getting into college.

I took the College Entrance Exams. Although my math exam result was only one point below the required score. I never gave up hope. The following year, I took it again and received the highest score in my city. Achieving such an amazing result gave me encouragement and courage necessary to continue my education to the next step.

I am now in my second year of college and know that it is never too late to learn. My passion for studying and improving myself will never come to a halt as long as I continue to live.

“Live and Learn.” is the motto I have adopted. I believe with an education I will succeed. So, if you are wondering whether education is important, don’t hesitate a moment to step up and seize the opportunity.

When early man invented clothes,he probably wanted to keep warm.I am sure he never intended that it should become as elaborate as it has become today.For many a year,traditional clothes and modern clothes have been in competition as to which of them make the wearer more beautiful.But it does seem that a lot of modern clothes are simpler and more practical.Perhaps we are moving back to the age of cavemen who wore clothes for practical purposes.

Modern clothes are definitely more practical as against traditional clothes.Almost all people now wear modern clothes.Nowadays even more and more people wear casual clothes.Jeans are everywhere except at formal parties.T-shirts are common,too.They look comfortable and fashionable.However,there are also a lot of people who take the trouble to dress well in formal clothes like shirts,trousers and suits.I find them smart,too.

大家好!今天我演讲的题目是“不忘国耻，振兴中华”。

翻开古老的历史书，第1860页的第10篇第6行有一个可耻的印记。那就是英法联军送给我们的!1860年10月6日，英法联军闯入北京圆明园，他们把院内凡是能拿走的统统掠走，拿不动的，就用牲口搬运，实在运不走的，就任意破坏。最可恶的是在10月18日和19日之间，他们为了销毁证据，竟放火烧了圆明园。这一园林艺术的瑰宝，建筑艺术的精华，就这样化成了灰烬。现在给我们留下的只是几根孤零零的柱子和无尽的遗憾与愤怒。

当时，英法联军经过北京城东北郊直扑圆明园时，僧格林沁、瑞麒残部在城北一带稍微战斗了一下，就逃亡了。作为保护圆明园的技勇和一些太监，无所畏惧，和敌人展开了殊死拼搏，但终因寡不敌众，而丧失了性命。至晚7点，法侵略军攻占了圆明园，管圆大臣文丰投福海而死。

虽然1860这页历史有了一个可耻的印章，但是复兴中国的呼吁在古老的版图上回荡不息。1905年，詹天佑修筑了京张铁路，1937年，一起震惊全国的卢沟桥事件，使全中国人民走上了抗战征程，2006年，神6成功发射，又成功返回地球，2008年奥运会也画上了圆满的句号。

当历史的列车驶进了二十一世纪的站台，人们忽然发现，我们的祖先苦苦思索也猜想不到究竟有多大的这块土地，变得越来越小了，于是，地球变成了“村落”，要探访远隔重洋的亲友，只需要动动手指，击一下鼠标；同时，人们又会发现，这个展现世界的舞台，又好像变得越来越大，一些似乎是闻所未闻的故事，几乎每天都在发生着，魑魅魍魉齐亮相，真假善恶同登台。一时间，这个世界变得光怪陆离、扑朔难辨。但，不论时光如何流转，不论岁月的波涛如何无情地冲刷着人们心灵，永不改变的是人们对真善美的追求。

古往今来，不是有无数文人墨客把女性赞誉为爱的使者、美的化身吗。当梁红玉用惊天的战鼓击退百万敌军的时候；当居里夫人用镭元素铸成科学史上一个崭新的里程碑的时候；当江雪芹在胜利的曙光即将到来之际，面对屠刀从容就义的时候；当中国女排以顽强的意志拼来五连冠，把拼搏精神化成一个民族前进动力的时候，人们不会再有丝毫的怀疑，我们伟大的女性已经为世界撑起了一片湛蓝湛蓝的天空。

或许有人会说，你说的这些，是不是有些遥远了呢？那么，就让我们来听一听发生在我们身边的故事吧！

有人说，现在执法太难，办案太累，反贪太辛苦，但是在我们道里区检察院反贪局五名女同志的身上，你绝对找不到苦、难、累这样的字眼。尖兵、硬汉一类的词汇，似乎很难与她们这些外表羸弱的女性联系到一起，但是当你走近这五名反贪女将的时候，你会亲切地感到，在他们身上所体现的，早已远远不止于刚毅、勇敢和顽强。

侦查一科副科长王丽萍，曾连续三届荣获省级优秀公诉人的称号，投入到反贪战线后，她迅速调整自己，以最短的时间，最快的速度进入角色。面对当前反贪工作线索难，案源少的情况，她动脑筋、想办法，深入有关部门了解情况，广挖案源，通过调查得知，我市建设银行某支行的一名副行长，挪用公款被单位开除，而银行方面却没有向司法机关报案，得知这一情况后，她立即开展调查，顶住重重的压力和说情者，一举破获了这起挪用公款五百二十万元的特大案件。

侦查二科副科长王永红，为了参加反贪局的攻坚战役，狠下心把年仅三岁的孩子寄托在亲戚家中，自己夜以继日，吃、住在局里，和男同志一样摸爬滚打，战役结束了，案子办成了，她自己也瘦了一圈儿。当她见到了分别十多天的孩子时，家人埋怨她：“孩子想你把嗓子都哭哑了，真没见过你这样当***，哪怕来看一眼孩子再走也行啊！”凡是为人子女，为人父母的人都应当知道：母爱最伟大、最温柔、最细腻，也最难以割舍。但我们的战友，这位坚强的女性，硬是铁起心肠把孩子的呼喊存留在心里，自己投入到忘我的工作中，这又是一份怎样的情感啊！

侦查三科的助理检察员王铁玲，身为女性，却从没有因为这一点向科里、向组织上提出任何条件，每一项任务她都爽朗地接受，每一份工作，她都细致地完成。不论是突审取证，还是蹲坑抓人，不论是查办案件，还是上大街清冰雪，她从没落在后面。九九年末，王铁玲同志承办了一起贪污公款十四万元的大案，犯罪嫌疑人从被抓获的那一刻开始，要么百般抵赖，胡搅蛮缠，要么摆出一付“死猪不怕开水烫”的架式，作为反贪战线的新手，第一次办理案件就遇上这样的问题，她一不气馁，二不手软，细致入微的研究、分析案情，远赴河南汤阴、安阳调查取证，仔细排查一笔笔账目，收集一份份证据，最终在犯罪嫌疑人只字不供的情况下，靠确凿的证据将之送上审判席，处以九年徒刑。

综合科检察员栾丽华，这位身受反贪局干警尊敬的大姐，从办案岗位调动到内勤岗位上，她没有半句怨言。一年多来，经她手建立的八十多本簿册，几百份各类统计报表无一差错。难能可贵的是，这位年过不惑的大姐，除了在工作中给予了战友们慈母般的关爱以外，从没有以老大姐自居，每天中午休息的时候你都会看到，她戴着花镜，端坐在电脑前学习打字，她说：“现在时代变了，跟不上就要被淘汰，我不抓紧学习怎么行呢！”朴实的话语折射出的是一颗孜孜以求的年轻的心。在她的带动下，反贪局掀起了一股练打字、学电脑、掌握现代化高科技手段的热潮；更难能可贵的是，栾丽华同志以她四十几岁的年龄和年轻同志一样，每逢侦查科有突破案件，加班加点的情况，她就主动留下来，协助工作。大家都劝她回去休息，她却说：我放不下心，回去也睡不着觉。一次正赶上反贪局会战，在北京念大学的女儿回哈市来看她，在家里待了一个星期，却只见了母亲一面，临走时，女儿给她打了个电话，嗔怪地说：早知道你这么忙，我还不如和同学们游香山呢！话虽这么说，但懂事的女儿知道，妈妈是把自己的全部精力和热情，奉献给了神圣的检察事业。

综合科科长王黎丽，长期带病坚持工作，一年多来，她既要抓好反贪局综合科的日常工作，又要抓好省委专案组的收尾工作，头、颈、腰部的伤病复发，她顾不上去诊治，吃上药，戴上牵引架，继续坚守在工作岗位上。熟悉她的人都说，只有看到了王黎丽这样的干劲，才能体会到“女强人”这三个字的真正含义。

不必再一一列举她们的事迹，不必再一一寻找她的闪光点，这样的事例也许太多太多了……正是她们，我们可亲可敬的姐妹们，用金子般的心，用山岳般的意志，用火一样的热情，在反贪战线上构筑了一条靓丽的风景线。

当中国女足的姑娘们用洒在绿茵场上的汗水，辅就了一条通向世界的金光大道时，人们亲切的把她们喻为铿锵玫瑰。今天我要说，战斗在我们身边的平凡而又伟大的女性，是我们检察战线的铿锵玫瑰。让我们共同祝愿她们：生命之花永远绚丽多彩，事业之树永远挺拔青翠。铿锵玫瑰，永远盛开！

祖国像一棵大树，为我们遮风挡雨，而我们像一颗小草，在大树的底下，拼命的长大，也想长大后为祖国遮风挡雨让她不再受伤；祖国像一支蜡烛点亮我们人生的道路，而自己却燃烧化成了灰烬；祖国母亲像是一本书，里面的故事，激励着我们，坚定了向前的步伐。啊！我为我是中华民族的人民而感到骄傲与自豪！

虽然祖国在日益的强盛，但是辉煌的今天，

也抹不去过去中华人民所受的耻辱！“南京大屠杀”、“卢沟桥事变”、“圆明园的毁灭”……外国侵略者在中国的土地上犯下了累累的罪行，虽然侵略者烧杀抢夺，无恶不做！但是中国人们绝不低头，因为他们知道还有中国共产党保护着他们！激励着他们勇敢站起来！“起来，不愿做奴隶的人们，把我们的血肉筑成我们新的长城……”爱国英雄田汉在牢狱中忍受着鞭打，但是他创造了这一首豪情壮志的歌，歌词中鼓励着中华人民不要怕害侵略者们的恶毒野蛮，要跟这些逆贼做斗争！在这场持续了八年的战争中也涌现出了许许多多的爱国英雄，他们宁死不屈：解放军战士董存瑞抱着炸弹与敌人同归于尽而身亡、江姐面对敌人的严刑拷打，仍不透露中国共产党的机密文件最后死在了敌人的枪下、黄继光为了不让敌人发现同志们的位置，火烧在身上连一句都不吭，最后不幸死去……啊！像这样的英雄，还有许许多多，他们的事迹真令我们后代的子子孙孙敬佩呀！在中华人民的团结终于结束了这漫长的八年战争，中国迎来了渴望已久的和平！有一个人听到这个消息后，万分激动，放下在美国的名誉，地位，金钱，抛开一切从国外回来了，他就是——钱学森！但一切却并不那么容易，在他激动的时候，他带着全家人购买了飞机票，准备出发时却遭受到了美国移民局的通知：不准回国！他们诬赖又因为其他的事情给扣押了，这件事情引起了美国科学界的公愤，坚决抵制这样的行为，在每个人的帮助下，他终于回来了！为了国家的建设做出了卓越的贡献，

被誉为“中国航天之父”“中国导弹之父”“中国自动化控制之父”和“火箭之王”，由于钱学森回国效力，中国导弹、原子弹的发射向前推进了至少20年。随着国家的发展，

2003年10月15日北京时间9时，宇航员杨利伟乘由长征二号F火箭运载的神舟五号飞船首次成功进入太空，这牵动着全球华人的心，象征着中国太空事业向前迈进一大步。这件让外国人不得不佩服中国人民的智慧！随着件事的成功，北京成功申奥成功，上海世博会在我国顺利举行……这一件件事里都充分展现着中华人民的智慧，为我们中国一次又一次的争了个光！

啊！祖国你永远在我的心中，我一定要努力学习，长大后建设祖国，成为国家的栋梁，使我们的祖国变得越来越强盛，不再受外国人的欺压！
