Summer Holiday in Taiwan

Summer can be very hot in southern Taiwan where the temperature usually goes up to 32"C or more. Because of the heat it is a trying experience to go to school or do anything else in a place that is not air-conditioned. Also because of this I stay at home most of the time during the summer vacation and only occasionally go to the beach to plunge myself into the cool water as a way to keep my body less sticky.

Actually I like swimming and think nothing is more refreshing than a swim. In the summer vacation that has just ended I went swimming many times with my classmates and we all had a good time. This summer vacation， however， was not spent entirely in seeking fun. As a second-year senior student I had to prepare myself for the college entrance examinations that were only a year away. In other words， I must find time to study， too. So I divided my time between work and play during the summer vacation and derived much benefit from this arrangement.

几分钟后，妈妈回来了，她手里端着那只熟悉的杯子，杯子里是温热的，我接过杯子，小声地附在她的耳边说了句：“妈妈，我爱您!”，妈妈愣住了，这时的她面无表情，她到底是激动还是吃惊?我难以猜透。许久，妈妈的脸上渐渐露出了甜甜的笑容，她一改往常那副“凶神恶煞”的样子，摸了摸我的头，轻轻地也在我耳边说了句：“宝贝，我也爱你!”，说完，我们都望着对方的脸笑了起来，那时，我是幸福的。那一刻，我记忆的闸门被打开了，妈妈和我的快乐往事一一在脑海中浮过……

想想看，是啊！父母把我们养这么大，多不容易呀！如果再不好好说一声我爱你，恐怕就没什么时间了，因为我们现在还不算忙，等我们以后工作了，哪还有什么时间？时间一纵即逝，一定要抓紧时间的尾巴，好好对父母说一声我爱你！如果以前没有时间，现在父母也老了，那你就常回家看看父母亲也是好的呀！

每天我都看到爸爸和妈妈上班后，还要回家给我做饭吃，天天都累得筋疲力尽的。我决定要亲自给他们做顿饭，并且想对他们说一声“爸爸妈妈，我爱你们，你们辛苦了!”饭我会做，但是说一声“爱”我就有点不敢了，从小到现在我从来到没有对爸妈说一声“我爱你们”。一想到要对爸爸妈妈说“我爱你们”，我的脸都红了，心也“砰砰”地跳。

The Spring Festival

The Spring Festival，Chinese New Year，is the most important festival for all of us。 All family members get together on New YearEve to have a big meal。At the same time，everyone celebrates to each other。At about 12 oclock，some parents and children light crackers。The whole sky is lighted brightly。 We may watch the fireworks excitedly。How busy it is！

On the first early moring of one year，many senior citizen get up early and they stick the reversed Fu or hang some couplets on the front door。 Some houses windows are sticked on red paper cutlings。

The Chinese New Year lasts fifteen days。 So during the fifteen days，we always visit our relatives from door to door。 At that time，children are the happiest because they can get many red packets form their parents，grandparents，uncles，aunts and so on。 The last day of the Chinese New Year is another festival。 It names the Lantern Festival。

So the Chinese New Year comes to the end。

Will Christmas Replace the Spring Festival？

Christmas arouses increasing attention year by year in China。 Christmas cards become popular with students。 People hold Christmas parties and exchange Christmas girts。 A lot or TV and radio programs about Christmas are on。 Meanwhile the Spring Festival is less appealing to youngsters。 Thus some people wonder whether Christmas will replace the Spring Festival。

This worry is fairly unnecessary。 Why ？One reason lies that Christmas only affects Christians，college students and joint—ventureworkers。 Another reason is that Christmas is mostly celebrated in cities。 Few people in countryside show extreme interest in this exoticfestival。 By contrast，the Spring Festival is the most influential traditional festival in every family。

I think，it is natural that with increasing exchanges with the West，a lot of Western holidays have been gradually introduced into China。 For us Chinese we should never neglect or even discard our own traditional festivals。 For centuries Chinese have observed this traditional holiday to welcome the beginning of a new year。 And we will treasure the Spring Festival forever。

My plan of next year

A new year ，a new start，when I stand on the edge of a new year，I cant help thinking about my plan of next year。

Just as the old saying：“Well began is the half of the success。”So I decide that I should be at work while the others are still relaxing ，and then ，at the beginning ，Im quicker than the others and of course I will get better result than the others。

But ，what I really decide to do is that I must make good of anytime I can spare though it seems impossible。 While，I will do my best to live up with what I have planned，and the result will prove it。

Today is our holiday on the fourth day, my mother let me thoroughly play for four days, I feel great. After thorough played, starting today I should study hard. Today my mother and I sat on the sofa to discuss for my summer vacation plan, plan is as follows:

At nine o clock every morning to start learning, learning contents are: read gradethree of the thirty minutes of the day to recite, learn ten English words, write an hour.than play games practice copybook (a), study primary school grade threeaoshu 15 minutes, watching English cartoon episode.

这时妈妈回来了，我赶忙迎了上去，心想“这次绝对要说出来”。我走到她面前，吞吞吐吐的说：“妈妈。。。。。。” “阳阳，有什么事等下再说，先帮我提东西。”“哦”我机械的将东西放在厨房，妈妈坐在客厅看电视，我慢慢的走了过去，吞吞吐吐的说：“妈妈，我。。。。。。”“你有话快说呀”。“我爱你，妈妈”我大声的叫道。说出来后，我觉得心里紧张的感觉一下子释放开了。但又像做错了事一样，脸红的像个大苹果。再看看妈妈，她楞住了好几秒钟，一下子把我搂在怀里大哭起来，嘴里不停的说“谢谢，我的孩子。”我的眼泪也情不自禁的流了下来。。。。。。

经过这次体验，我知道了父母其实不需要我们太多的回报，只要给他们一点爱，他们就会感动。表达出心中的爱吧，哪怕是不经意一句问候的话，一张感恩的纸条，或是一朵美丽的鲜花。。。。。。

这几年，许多同学都在假期补课，而且从来没有补过，由于我喜欢玩，不喜欢学习。眼看着新的假期又要来了，我们班上的许多同学都在报名被课。有的同学喜欢补数学；有的同学喜欢补作文；大多数同学喜欢补英语，由于英语太难啦！对我来讲，英语好像从来没有及格过，看着同学们都积极学习的样子，我也有些心动了。

由于去年假期，同学们都在补课，没有人和我玩，我现在想还不如去和他们一起补课算了，那么选哪一门课呢？后来想了一想，我就决定补自己最差的英语了。那天，我报了名，英语老师说：“凤凤，你早就得补你的英语了，这次来一定要好好学，其实英语一点都不难！”听了英语老师的话，我的心里别提多兴奋了。

到了补课其间，我们每个人都准备了新的笔记本，将老师讲的每一个要点都记了下来。因为在这里补课的同学还有其他班上的同学，所以学习热情很高涨，我也不好意思玩了。别的同学做什么，我就做什么，反正自己也没有好的学英语方法，所以现在就是我最好的学习机会。

差不多一个月的时间，我的英语水平提高了许多，最后的测试分数不再是倒数第一，我终于进步了。当我拿着成绩让爸爸妈妈看进，他们一直夸我有进步，并要继续努力。当时，我的心里乐滋滋的，非常感谢假期补英语的生活。

Have been a travelling by train for about 3h, the journey was tiring. I arrived in our provinces capital city-Nanning,a green city in south China.

I met Mrs.Long,then she showed me around the downtown including Walmart,Xingning walking street,the bund,ect. There is a drinks machine in the street that offers passers by free drinkable water. They had the same thing in my city, but people used the water to wash their hands which ruined the machines. On the contrary, Ningningese tend to protect every piece of public property.
