Lying at the center of Beijing, the Forbidden City, called Gu Gong, in Chinese, was the imperial palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Now known as the Palace Museum, it is to the north of Tiananmen Square. Rectangular in shape, it is the worlds largest palace complex and covers 74 hectares. Until 1924 when the last emperor of China was driven from the Inner Court, fourteen emperors of the Ming dynasty and ten emperors of the Qing dynasty had reigned here. Having been the imperial palace for some five centuries, it houses numerous rare treasures and curiosities. Listed by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage Site in 1987, the Palace Museum is now one of the most popular tourist attractions world wide.

Construction of the palace complex began in 1407, the 5th year of the Yongle reign of the third emperor of the Ming dynasty. It was completed fourteen years later in 1420. It was said that a million workers including one hundred thousand artisans were driven into the long-term hard labor. Stone needed was quarried from Fangshan, a suburb of Beijing. It was said a well was dug every fifty meters along the road in order to pour water onto the road in winter to slide huge stones on ice into the city. Huge amounts of timber and other materials were freighted from faraway provinces. Ancient Chinese people displayed their very considerable skills in building the Forbidden City. Take the grand red city wall for example. It has an 8.6 meters wide base reducing to 6.66 meters wide at the top. The angular shape of the wall totally frustrates attempts to climb it. The bricks were made from white lime and glutinous rice while the cement is made from glutinous rice and egg whites. These incredible materials make the wall extraordinarily strong.

Since yellow is the symbol of the royal family, it is the dominant color in the Forbidden City. Roofs are built with yellow glazed tiles; decorations in the palace are painted yellow; even the bricks on the ground are made yellow by a special process. However, there is one exception. Wenyuange, the royal library, has a black roof. The reason is that it was believed black represented water then and could extinguish fire.

玉溪秀山历史文化公园，位于云南玉溪通海县城南隅，峰顶海拔 2060 米，是玉溪地区重要风景区之一。

不知不觉我们来到了云南丽江，我兴高采烈地下了车，吸了一口新鲜空气，我们步行来到了云南丽江的古城，古城，那理所当然是古代的事物啦，而且这里没有高楼大厦，最高的也只是三层，远远望去，便像一座古代小城，连绵起伏的屋子，就像一座座碧绿碧绿的小山。我在逛古城时，还发现一个鲜为人知的东西，就是间间店铺的招牌都不但有汉字，还有以前古代的甲骨文例如：这还让我认识了许多甲骨文，家字是一个屋子里住着一个人这样便是一个家字了，虽然还有一些甲骨文我还疑惑不解，但却让我大开眼界。还有我们住的酒店不叫酒店而是和古代一样称为客栈我们在古城逛街时商店里的东西琳琅满目，我们看得眼花缭乱。我们在古城买了许多的东西有披巾、手链，还有裙子。而我觉得古城美不胜收的就是大风车和黑龙潭公园了大风车坐落于广场的小溪边，晶莹透亮的溪水滴落在风车上，风车慢慢转动一下，那水滴又倾注而下到小溪中。而黑龙潭公园又叫玉泉公园，公园四周山清水秀，柳暗花明。而我觉得其中最引人注目的就是龙神饲、得月楼、五凤楼了，这些景点让我驻足观看我还喜欢黑龙潭公园的小溪。小溪清澈见底犹如一面镜子，这使我想起了刘禹锡写的一首诗：湖光秋月两相和，潭面无风镜未磨。而且公园的小溪和我们这儿的小溪与众不同，公园小溪的底里还有不计其数的海草呢!在桥边，还有一道从山上流泻下来的一股请泉，波涛滚滚的清泉顿时使我情不自禁地大喊一声：“好爽呀，好凉快呀!”这股清泉让我看后心旷神怡。逛完丽江古城后，不但让我体现了古代人们的起居饮食，还认识到劳动人民的智慧结晶。

日月穿梭，第二天到了。今天，风和日丽，我们要去玉龙雪山，我自言自语地说：“雪山?雪，那一定有数不胜数的雪了，哇!太棒了，可以看到雪了，出生到现在，我可是一粒雪也没看过耶!”我们坐车来到玉龙雪山的售票处，我心里激动万分，恨不得立即到雪山。“猴年马月”我们终于来到了乘坐缆车处，我小心翼翼地坐上了缆车，缆车开始运行了，我东张西望，像一只猴子似的，我对窗外的景色赞叹不绝，看见了超级美丽的景色，我会拍案叫绝，幸好旁边的人都是我们家的朋友，要不然别人以为我有精神病呢!到了一半的路程，海拔越来越高，我渐渐感到不舒服了，变得胆小如鼠了缆车越来越接近雪山了。远远望去，就像一幅美丽的画，我又惊又喜，上到雪山，哇!真是洁白无暇啊!我一步一步地在走楼梯，，但走到一半，因海拔太高，我支持不住，便半途而废了。虽然没爬上去有点可惜，但我相信，总有一天我会看到雪的。

经过了半小时的旅程，天空已变得漆黑一片，我们来到云南的香格里拉已筋疲力尽，到了明天的早上，我们来到了普达措国家公园。进到大厅，金碧辉煌，接着我们坐车观赏风景。一路上，我看见了那些马儿在一望无际的草原上奔驰，马儿有黑的、白的、棕色的，应有尽有。我们坐车来到了潭水边，哇!潭无边无际的，真漂亮。我左看右看，就是看不到尽头，妈妈哈哈大笑地说：“你真是螳螂挡车——自不量力。”随着，我们踏入了原始森林，这里树木葱茏，小草郁郁葱葱，我带着相机，装摸作样地走动着，还大摇大摆地拍了几张相片，简直成了摄影家。一路上，我看见了四只活泼可爱、身手敏捷的小松鼠，我一看见便以迅雷不及掩耳之势拍了几张相片，但却是迷迷糊糊的，原本想照其它的，但想到坚持就是胜利，皇天不负有心人，我终于经历了千心万苦才拍到两张珍贵的相片，这普达措国家公园让我体现到森林的气氛。

通过这次旅行，让我乐中长智笑中得益呀!云南使我认识了许多的风俗，这次旅行不但让我受益匪浅，同时，云南也令我流连忘返。

At this time we were so hungry and we looked for a restaurant to have lunch. we ordered 4 taiwan noodles and a guangzhou noodles. They were very tasty. After that, we were full of energy.We rode the small roller coaster. we were also happy to ride it. Then we rode the bumper cars. that was interesting. we rode again and again. We had a nice time.

An hour later it was 3 oclock. We went to the frog jumps. We scared when we saw it but i rode it with a bold friend. We were afraid to ride it.

At last, i went to the cake shop to buy cakes then we went back to the bus. The bus took us back to the school . We were tired in the bus. but we had a good time today.

最后一天，我们去了蜈支洲岛。它是一个岛屿嘛，当然要坐船去喽。那天风很大，把浪乱的老高老高，船从浪上过去时，会有一种失控的感觉，挺好玩的。

我们一共在三亚玩了六天，每一天我们都有特殊的乐趣，特殊的感受，使我开阔了眼界。这一次旅游，让我得到了充分的放松，使我以饱满的精神迎接新学期的到来。

今天， 我和爸爸妈妈的朋友一行十五个人乘着两辆面包车，浩浩荡荡的来到上海枫泾古镇旅游区游玩。

由于不熟悉，请了一个导游，听导游说枫泾古镇到处水网遍布，大多数人的房子都沿湖而建，古镇里的房子都保留了以前的特色，屋顶都是用瓦片做的，墙都是用石头或木头做的，这里最有人情味的是的是一条长廊，大约两百米左右，当初设计师把这长廊设计的很有人性化夏天不用撑伞，下雨不会湿鞋，给人们带来了很多方便。

这里到处卖的大多数都是诸葛亮用的东西，比如孔明扇，弩等。清澈的湖能照出屋子的倒影，三轮车在狭窄的弄堂里行驶，杨柳随风摆动像在跳舞，游客在钓鱼，有的在船上嬉戏，可有趣了。

天色渐渐暗了下来，我们依依不舍的回家了。

in this winter break，i have a plan to travel to reason i planned to travel to japan is because i saw many interesting facts about japan in the internet; like there are a lot of new technology there，the fuji mountain there，or japan disney land ， i really like there i were to go there，i would make my agenda like this：first，go to tokyo to shop in malls，and go to disney land; then，go to osaka to go to spa，and shop in anime stores; finally，i would like to go to hokkaido to go skiing，and enjoy the i could have a good trip!

今天，我和妈妈兴高采烈地来到体育馆集合去云南旅游。

到了机场，我们先把行李托运掉，再去拿票，然后去安检，最后等时间去检票。上了飞机后，很快就起飞了，在飞机上我睡了两觉，醒来后，我就欣赏天空的美景。

时间过的很快，到了昆明已经八点多了，但是昆明还是天亮着呢！ 第二天，也是最累的一天，总共坐10多个小时到了有名的丽江。 第三天，我们来到玉龙雪山，是国家4A级景区，也是离城市最近的雪山，总共高5506海拔，还是至今从未有人到山顶的人。连日本人坐直升飞机上去都上不去。因为他们最后还是失踪了。我们坐缆车到4506海拔的地方，听说那里人没事的话就可以到西藏去了。那里的雪景可神奇了！山下温度28摄氏度，可咱山顶好多美丽的积雪。

后来我们来到玉水寨。那里的水是雪山上的雪融化的，然后天然过滤过的冰泉。因为它的水质很适合养美国极品鱼类之一——鳟鱼。还可以喝那里的冰泉呢！ 然后我们去买螺旋藻。听说可以治糖尿病、便秘等。还有各种维生素和 防晒作用。听说世上只有三个湖泊才有螺旋藻。

第四天，我们又整整的一天时间回到了昆明。 第五天，我们来到了石林，那里像黄山一样有许多奇形怪状的石头。有的像一只婷婷玉立的天鹅，有的像一只正要展翅欲飞的雄鹰，有的像挺着大肚子的猪八戒，尤其是躺着在吃桃子的孙悟空，其中最有趣的是阿诗玛（女孩）的化身体。 现在我再向大家介绍一下云南。因为云南是红土地带，所以很适合种天麻、灵芝、参类等药品。云南也有许多美誉：有四季如春的春城；有鲜花满地的花城；还有东方翡翠城。

This summer vacation, I went to Beijing.

It was a very great city!

We went to the Great Wall first.Like its name,it was very great.We can see many mountians around.

Then we went to visit Tianan Men Square.It was also fantastic.

We lived in a small house in a Beijing Hutung, it was a traditional Beijing building called four-section compound.

I enjoyed myself a lot.

I love Beijing!

这个暑假,我去了北京。

这是一个非常伟大的城市!

首先我们去长城。就像它的名字一样,这是非常伟大的。我们可以看到许多的关口。

然后我们去参观天安门广场。也是美妙的。

我们住在一个小房子在一个北京胡同,它是北京传统的建筑称为“四合院”。

我喜欢我自己。

我爱北京!

7月16日，我和班里的几个同学，一起去云南旅游。我感到自己兴奋得心快要从口中里蹦出来了。

先坐车到温州机场，再乘飞机到昆明，等入住酒店时，已经是晚上八点了，第一天就这样过去了。第二天行程的第一站，是“世界恐龙谷”，一听着名字好神秘，里面肯定有各种各样的恐龙化石，于是，我带着一颗好奇心，来到了世界恐龙谷。远远就看到大门右边立着三只大恐龙，分明是褐色的三角龙，蓝色的迅猛龙和绿色的霸王龙。哇塞，我加快了脚步，导游带我们参观了恐龙博物馆。一层，全部都是恐龙的部分化石，二层，全部都是整具的恐龙化石，在导游的介绍下，我知道了恐龙分为食肉和食草两大类，头小，脖子长，脚趾在四个以上的是食草的，相反，头大，脖子短，脚趾是三个的是食肉恐龙了。但导游说，这也并不是绝对的，因为在恐龙化石里，有发现食草恐龙的嘴里，留着动物的遗体，这说明了恐龙里有既食草有吃肉的恐龙了……

经过导游的介绍，让我充实了许多关于恐龙的知识。出了恐龙谷，我们接着去大理了!

Journey to Australia

Australia is one of the famous Oceanian country. The country is famous for its wool production and seashore tour. As the climate there is warm and comfortable, many people spend vocations there every year. I’m a super fan of water entertainment, so I choose it as my destination.

In Australia, the sky is bluer than blue, the clouds are whiter than white, all the local people enjoy an optimistic and active life. They also show their kindness and enthusiasm to the tourists.

The first step should be Sydney Opera which is among the most brilliant and splendid architectures in the world. Many world-class plays are put on in it .The surface and shape of it is like a seashell with glory decorations inside.

Then Melbourne is a good choice to be as the next step. In Melbourne, skin screen is a must to take with as the sunshine is upset and may burn your skin. The most attractive thing to me is the Australia Open, which is one of the biggest world-class tennis competition. Many great players such as Roddick Federer and its local player Hewitt etc. gather to compete. It’s really a feast for the eyes.

Australia is also home to one of the most challenging and exciting surfing and diving projects. As we know, it is always called “a country riding on the back of sheep”. From the interesting saying ,we can know something about the rich wool-production country. If you love animals, kangaroos and kaolas are good company to you .

So don’t forget Australia when you plan a trip.

(一)在飞机上

2005年10月2号，我坐在去云南丽江的飞机上，写下这篇日记，开始了我们一家的云南之旅

我坐过二十多次飞机，第一次坐在头等舱。头等舱非常宽，还有这张可以折叠的桌子，让我写日记。

空姐就在我前面，一举一动、一言一行，都看得清清楚楚;她们的微笑很漂亮。

机长告诉我们：“我们的飞机在一万米高空上。”从飞机窗户往外望，一朵朵白云，有的像一颗颗棉花糖;有的像一片片雪花，白茫茫的，我恨不得跳下去打几个滚!

(二)香格里拉

我们的车翻山越岭，终于来到了美丽的香格里拉。

高原的天空格外的蓝，天高云淡。树木的叶子有的黄了有的红了，层林尽染、叠翠流金，秋天的香格里拉真美呀!

我们来到松赞林寺，它是云南最大的藏传佛教寺院，寺院里有金转桶，爸爸说：“今转桶要顺时针转，绕着今转桶走一圈，许个愿望，会实现。”

墙壁上画着许多图案，有喇嘛和由黑色变白色的大象的故事。

寺院的顶部有用黄金做的鹿和怪物，在阳光下金光闪闪。

(三)梅里雪山

一大早，我们骑马上梅里雪山。马背上一颠一颠的，我的屁股被颠痛了，身子摇摇晃晃的。

下马时，我浑身疼痛。眼前的景色把我迷住了，冰川太美了，还有小冰块掉下来，引起了一大块冰掉下来!轰隆隆的响，像放鞭炮一样，好恐怖!

冰川非常壮观，但是非常冷。

冰川像一艘大船，在阳光下反射出美丽的颜色!

(四)回家

第三天我就回家了!回到家，我说：“金窝窝，银窝窝，我如我自己的小狗窝!”

云南真美，我还像再去一变，再看看那里的山和水!
