Playing basketball is my favourite sport,and i have played for many years.

i remember that basketball has brought me lots of joys and funs when i was a

child.now, i am a player in our school basketball team and i am proud of

that.everytime when our school have match with other schools,i will very happy

that i can be one of the representive of my school,and the time when i heard the

students who watched the match cheer for us,i would try my best to shoot.my

favourite basketball player is yaoming，i hope i can represent my country one

day.

My hometown, a village locating beside a small river, is a wonderful place

with beautiful scenery surrounded. Because of the poor geographical environment

and without an asphalt road, the whole village is poor and people’s lives are

tough. Generally, people grow rice and some other crops for a living. Most young

people work at the city, leaving their parents and children at home, which is

the status of the vast majority of rural area. It seems that only in this way

can rural people live a better life.

My birtiday is on 24th May. I always have both happy and sad feelings on my birthday. Why I am happy? I have group of friends that come over to celebrate with me. And they give me birthday presents, sometimes the gifts surprised me very much. Also, I can feel how much my family loves me because my parents always make a birthday cake for me. They do not go to buy one, but make one themselves. I feel so happy about that. However, I understand my mother was the one who suffered the most pain on the date I came to the world. In China, the period of high school is very important for students, they will go to college after finishing high school. The Yangzte River is the longest river in China. And it’s important and helpful to us Chinese. But these days the Yangtze River is bringing us serious floods.

Many villages were destroyed by floods. The floods made hundreds of millions of people lose their homes, relatives and friends. Many children can’t go to school as usual .Now the foods have drawn the attention of the whole world. People from abroad have offered their help too. Mother has a pair of big eyes, flexible my eyes a button nose and a big mouth, and a pair of big ear of a good listener. My mothers height is 1 m 55, weighing 110 pounds. She said nothing at ordinary times, but she got angry, will break into a furious rage.

football players don’t play it very well, still a lot of fans keep their

enthusiasm on this sport. They watch the matches even staying up. These fans

My Attitude towards Life

Life is an endless voyage, as theres no destination in our life. Life is also very fickle, since anything may happen in our life. We may be successful or defeated at any time.

Sometimes, I have the feeling that I was successful, but that happiest time has already passed away. Sometimes, I feel as if I went to the end of my life, but after a long tour, I find I have a long way to go. I always miss myself in this endless road and I feel very lonely. But in this loneliness, theres nothing to fear. So I have learned to grow up. I have learned to hold back my tears. I have learned to smile to others.

I understand your well-respected college offers a number of places to overseas students every year, and I am writing to enquire about the application procedure.

I am at present a student at Mary High School, Hong Kong, where I have been studying for the past five years. I passed the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination last year with distinctions in English and History, and credits in Economics and English Literature. My advanced-level subjects are History, Economics and English Literature. In addition to these subjects, "Use of English" is also a compulsory subject because a pass in English is a minimum requirement for admission to most faculties of the University of Hong Kong.

Apart from academic work, I have been actively involved in extra-curricular activities. I am Chairman of the English Club and I have represented my school in many inter-school contests.

Last day off , I had a great time, In the morning, I got up very early,

after eating breakfast,I went to Wenzhou Zoo and saw some seals , sharks and

dolphin’s show. I bought some souvenirs. Then I went out playing basketball with

my good friend Jim for one hour, then we swam at the pool , We had some

hambergars and coke for lunch at KFC. We also had some fruit ice-cream.We had a

rest for one and a half hours, then we went to Xinhua bookshop and read some

books.we went to Zhongshan Park , we bought some souvenirs,and the park is very

beautiful, we took lots of photos there. We enjoyed ourselves very much.

We watched the movie "yuan longping". The film describes Mr Yuan longping hybrid rice planting and successfully, I watched the movie, feel very sigh with emotion, touched me is Mr Yuan longping indomitable spirit.

Table tennis is one of the most popular sports in China. It’s my favorite,

too. It’s a good way of exercise, and it’s easy to play. You don’t need many

skills. I often play table tennis after class. Most of my classmates like it. So

we always have partners. But if you want to play well, it’s not so easy. You

must focus on your gesture, your hands and your steps. I want to be better, so I

practice it very often. I have my own teacher to teach me. I work hard on

it.

Recently, the haze weather has increasingly been serious and this

phenomenon triggers the widespread concern towards air quality. In my view of

the point, the best way to improve air quality is to tax the owner of private

car.

There are reasons accounting for my view. To begin with, there is no

denying that gas emission of private car is a great evil of air pollution.

To tax the owner of private car will make some contribution to cut down gas

emission and improve air quality. Furthermore, the tax also has a great impact

on decreasing the rate of car’s increase. Those who have a plan to buy a car

will take the tax into account and some of them have to give up their plan. If a

lot of people can use public transportation instead of private cars, the air

quality will not be so rotten. In addition, taxing for private car is also a

warning of environment protection. The notion of environment protection will be

brought to public again and an increasing number of people will be awake to the

importance of air protection and environment protection and make effort to

protect it. Finally, the government can use the tax as funds of improving the

air quality, which will be a great help to raise fund.

Taking above into account, I believe that taxing the owner of private car

is the best way to improve air quality. Certainly, we can carry out other

methods to improve it at the same time, such as planting trees, developing

public transportation and so on. I advocate that all of us should take pains to

protect our environment and we will lead a better life.

In this summer holiday, I didnt attend the summer camp, also did not go out to travel, just stay at home to write my summer homework assignments.

Although it is summer vacation homework, but also do not have a flavor.
