Im just writing to let you know that were all well, and I hope you are, too. Unfortunately, Ive got some rather bad news for you: Im afraid I made a bit of a mess of Johns car. Anyway, heres what happened.

We were on our way to Carols after a long party, and I suppose it must have been about eleven o’clock. Well, the last few miles back home were really dark and deserted. I now realize I was probably going a bit too fast for a country lane because, although the road was fairly straight, I drove up onto the curb and went into a tree.

Of course, John was absolutely furious and started shouting at me and cursing. After we d argued for a few moments, we decided to look at the damage, and he calmed down a bit. Well, we found we could move the car, but the wing was caught on the wheel, so we couldnt drive it. I tried to pull the wing clear, but I didnt succeed.

Anyway, John went off to phone for a breakdown lorry, but while he was away, I had another go at the wing and this time succeeded in pulling it right off. I threw it onto the back seat, and by that time John got back and we were ready to go?so we didnt need the breakdown lorry at all. 您好！ 老爸，您浑身上下的那股烟味啊，真够呛人的，虽然我知道您跟顾客谈生意要用到香烟，但是在没顾客的时候能不抽烟吗？ 我在一本书上看到过一个故事，名叫《烟虫和酒虫》，这两只小虫子跟上一个人后（就像你），这个人过了许多年后就进了隔离房，他得了癌症晚期。我不想让你拥有癌症，即使你不怕得了癌症也顾顾其他人啊。我来店里时你常常把那股含有大量尼古丁的烟往我身上吐，你不知道，吸二手烟的人（就像我）比你们吸烟的人更可怜，因为只有少量的尼古丁被你们吸进去了大部分都吐出来了。

老爸啊，你不是没看见，而是不愿意看，在每个烟盒子的侧面上都有写着“吸烟有害健康”。即使没看见，但是，我都提醒你n多遍了。老爸，你不是聋子吧？还是我提醒不够多？你才不听吧。“吸烟有害健康”他们并不是白写的而是真的有害健康，因为尼古丁有毒。

My summer holiday is coming soon, I start to make some plans about my

vacation. I go to travel every year, this time, I want to travel to Tibet, it is

the place I always want to go to. I have heard about Tibet many times, my

mother’s friends tell me so many wonderful things in it, so I want to go to

Tibet. This summer I will go to Tibet.

我的爸爸是一位国土资源执法工作者，也是一名优秀的国土卫士，由于工作的原因，他经常都没时间陪我。一个星期五的晚上，我高兴地给爸爸打了一个电话：“爸爸，你这个周末要回家吗?”“要，当然要!”爸爸说：“我从北京出差回来了，还给你买了礼物!”我听到这两句话时，我高兴极了，希望爸爸快点回来!

第二天早晨我起来，发现了一个大盒子，还发现爸爸的鞋子，我就知道爸爸回来了。我马上去爸爸的房间找了一遍，竟然没有找到，我问妈妈：“妈妈，爸去哪儿了?”妈妈说：“你爸爸出去吃早餐了。”“哦!”“你也去吃早餐吧!”我像兔子一样飞快地去了爸爸常去的早餐店，果然看见爸爸在吃牛肉粉，我高兴地迎上去，抱住爸爸，爸爸也很高兴，抱起我，说：“儿子，你怎么来了?”我高兴地说：“爸爸，我想您了，所以我才来的!”我又对爸爸说：“爸爸，您真是个守信用的爸爸!平时你工作繁忙是为了给群众处理事情，今天说回来就准时回来了”。

How time flies! It has been a few years since I left high school, but I

still remember you in my heart, because you’re the best teacher in my mind. It’s

not only because you taught me knowledge, but also you taught me how to study. I

have really benefitted a lot from you. So I would like to express my great

thanks to you, and share my life in college with you.

Now I’m studying in Hunan First Normal College, which is Chairman Mao’s

former school. I major in English, because I find it so fun and interesting. As

far as I’m concerned, our English Department is the best department in our

college. The teachers in our department are knowledgeable, experienced, and

warm-hearted. And my classmates are nice, friendly and helpful. Thus, I have a

When I told the news to Peter Li, James Wang and Nancy Zhang, the girl who always wears a long hair, and went to Beijing with us last year, they all wish you to send us some pictures of your new house. We hope that when we go on errand in America next year, we can pay a visit to your family. Then we are sure to have a nice gathering.

This morning, Peter and I went to an art gallery to pick up an oil painting with a beauty spot of China’s southern part as a token of our hearty congratulations. We hope it can add up to your decorations wherever you like, and we also wish you will like it.
