在我与朋友聚餐时也相当倒霉。早上，我是想着早点起，可是等我睡醒时已经是10：50.十分钟后，聚会就要开始!于是我只吃了块面包就径直向朋友家跑去!在朋友家呆了很长的时间后，我回到家，我爸爸妈妈很生气并且还大骂我一顿。

我很担心我的体重，上学期，我体重是48KG，但是现在我已经涨到51KG了!我必须减肥了!

但是更为重要的是，我已经去过了上海海洋水族馆，我非常期待去那，因为在那我可以看到马、猴子……还有大海。现在我实现这个愿望了。这也是我这个寒假唯一的一个亮点。

暑假的一天，是一个社区活动的日子。我吃过早饭，早早的来到了社区的活动室。

不一会儿，社区活动的老师拿了沉甸甸的一捆报纸走进活动室。我们疑惑不解，难道这次是让我们来看报纸的吗？这时老师笑容可掬地说：“小朋友们，今天让你们体验一下邮递员的工作，把这些“北蔡家园”的报纸发到社区每家每户的邮箱里。”说完，老师分发给每人一叠报纸。

我和我的同学吴雨萌结伴同行发报纸，我们挨个挨个的寻找每个单元的收信箱，然后跑过去小心翼翼的把报纸放到每家的收信箱里。再看看男生们，好像在和我们抢信箱似的，都手忙脚乱的把报纸塞进信箱里，有的报纸都皱巴巴的了，好像在说：“哎呀，别争了，把我都弄疼了。”

刚发到一半，我们就已经满头大汗了，想想邮递员叔叔每天骑着车，带着几大包的报纸和邮件，而且这些邮件都是全国各地的，他们每天要跑多少路，是多么的不容易啊，比起他们我们是微不足道的，于是我打起了十二分得精神，又开始去发了。这时一位踩着三轮车收废品的阿姨，看见我们手里一叠一叠的报纸，满脸堆笑的说：“小朋友，把你手里的报纸给我吧，我给你们钱去买根冷饮解解暑。”我心里犹豫不决，给吧，她肯定把报纸当废纸卖掉，社区的人就看不到了，这样就体现不出宣传的作用。最后我还是咬了咬牙，慢条斯理的说：“对不起阿姨，我不能给您。”。说完我们又冒着炎炎的烈日坚持不懈寻找收信箱。树上的鸟儿看着我们“叽叽喳喳”的好像在说：“你做得对。”一张、两张、三张……终于发完了。

通过今天的体验，我才明白邮递员是多么的辛苦，他们持之以恒的精神是值得我们学习的。

2010 World Expo was held in Shanghai. Shanghai Expo theme is "Better City, Better Life." As a student, we should do something about environmental protection. For example, plant trees, save water and less your car.

人生是一个不断行走的过程，漫漫长路有太多太多未知的考验等待着我们。挫折总是在不经意之中悄悄袭击我们，使我们茫然失措。对于挫折，我们有两种选择，坦然面对或自暴自弃。

“宝剑锋从磨砺出，梅花香自苦寒来。”古人告诉我们，要想成功就必定会经历挫折，挫折能磨炼我们的内心，使我们越来越强大。不必抱怨，不必悲伤，生活就是这样。阳光必定在风雨之后，没有挫折的生活是残缺，不圆满的。成长的路途有无数的美景，在平淡无奇的生活中会使我们觉得失色不少，但在经历挫折的生活会使我们觉得如此耀眼。我们的人生只有在经历风雨中成长，才会显得有价值。当我们走到生命的暮年之时，就会发现原来自己曾经战胜过这么多的困难与艰险。原来挫折的成功是如此地令人自豪。

对于过往，我总有一种抹不去难忘的情怀，因为有太多值得我回味的酸甜苦。我经常和妈妈谈起自己小时候的故事。听妈妈讲，在我不到一岁时，我非常渴望像大人一样迈着大步走路。所以经常在院子里学走路，但却不约而同地摔倒。但失败并没有击垮我的信心，反而越挫越勇，学的更勤奋了。终于，在无数次的跌倒之后，我终于能昂然地迈步了。那时的我不到一岁，就拥有如此大毅力，我不得不感叹梦是如此伟大，驱使我不断乘风破浪，披荆斩棘。我们的人生就是为了实现梦想而存在的，只要我们心中有一个梦，一个坚定也执着的梦，就不惧怕任何挑战和挫折，所有的困难都会迎刃而解的。

挫折，是如此懦弱；生活，也不过如此。我们绝不能在挫折面前溃败，不断前进的我们决不能哼着诀别的离歌。我们要不断地给自己加油打气，鼓起十足的信心。把挫折看得是那么微不足道，是生活之中一道不足的坎，这样，就不会惧怕挫折打击带给我们的伤害。也许很多人会认为我如此天真，但现实就是如此，没有人能够改变，谨此而已。

Summer can be very hot in southernxx where the temperature usually goes up to 32"C or more. Because of the heat it is a trying experience to go to school or do anything else in a place that is not air-conditioned. Also because of this I stay at home most of the time during the summer vacation and only occasionally go to the beach to plunge myself into the cool water as a way to keep my body less sticky. Actually I like swimming and think nothing is more refreshing than a swim. In the summer vacation that has just ended I went swimming many times with my classmates and we all had a good time. This summer vacation, however, was not spent entirely in seeking fun. As a second-year senior student I had to prepare myself for the college entrance examinations that were only a year away. In other words, I must find time to study, too. So I divided my time between work and play during the summer vacation and derived much benefit from this arrangement.

I spent this summer vacation in quite a different way. I used to run about every day in previous summer vacations, but this summer vacation I simply could not afford to do so. I would soon be in the last year of my high-school education and would after graduation be up against the college entrance examinations. Though those examinations were still a year away, I had to start early to make myself well prepared by reviewing all those things I had learned at school and this summer vacation was the ideal time for me to do this. At first I was rather dismayed at the thought of this, but later I thought it was better this way because by working hard this summer I could count on endless happy summers to come. With this in mind I then set to work like anything and only occasionally went out for a change or did some physical. I was not at all bored by this kind of life, for I was sustained by a hope.

The summer vacation had come round again. I was happy that I could forget about school at least for a while. Lest I fool around all through this summer vacation, I made a plan as to how to spend it. First, I thought I should go over all those things my teachers taught in the previous term so that I could have a better understanding of them. Then I thought I should take up some forms of exercise, such as walking, running and rowing, to keep me physically strong. It stood to reason that with such a good plan I should make the best of my vacation time. I did, because I lived up to what I had planned.

我最喜欢的是下象棋。记得有一次，我们班组织想起比赛，我和魏士凯进行比赛。我先调出“炮”打对方的“卒”，对方为了保住“卒”，调出了“马”来保护，我一看状况有所改变，就出“车”来对付“马”，对方一看我出“车”，就把“马”调回原处。

这时，我用“炮”吃了“卒”，又掉出“马”来吃“车”，对方赶紧出“车”，我乘胜追击，一口气吃了“马”和“炮”。正当我高兴之时，对方突然用“车”吃了我的“马”，接着又消灭了“炮”。我很沮丧，感到没有机会了，就退回老家。而对方则用“连环车”和“炮”，一连干了“马”、“相”、“兵”。

突然我抓住了机会，用“炮”干了双“车”，又用“炮”吃了“马”，对方没了防备，还想反抗。于是我用精兵强将攻打对方，对方的双“象”和双“士”被我方吃了，他只好“举旗投降”。后来，我用连环计和树上开花双计，打败了我们班的强将，但最后败于刘子越。虽然得了一个亚军，但我很高兴，因为我终于打倒了眼前的大障碍，进入前三名，这是我努力的结果。我一定会更努力地学习，早日打败刘子越，成为冠军。

这就是我的业余生活。下象棋不仅锻炼了我的智慧，而且还增长了知识。
