早晨，玉根儿起的很早，他有个弟弟叫铁根儿也起的很早。玉根儿家里很富有，能供得起他和他弟弟上学。跟爹娘和爷爷告别后。背着小书包到一个大的草房子里去读书。他们去的是老师王大天家里。他们家很大。是整户村子里最大的一座房子。装饰的很有艺术气息。因为王大天很有钱。玉根儿穿着大袄子，玉根儿的弟弟铁根儿，也穿着大袄子，特别暖和。在清晨嗖嗖的风中，隐约能感受到一丝寒气。早上，孩子们在学堂读书。中午留在学堂吃饭。下午三点以后去趟放学了，这群也孩子们就开始玩起来了。玉根和铁根儿不一样，他们乖，要先完成作业才能去。如果邻居家的孩子发现了什么有趣的东西?他们俩也从不争不抢。

夜晚，是玉根儿独自占用整个院子的时刻。银光笼罩下的村庄，弯弯的梯田一层一层的依着山势螺纹般的向上盘绕着。每一层的梯田里都有一轮月亮，同样的圆着，微风一吹水面就荡漾着涟漪，把月光荡漾的跟碎银子似的。看着满梯田都是碎银子，就觉得村庄是那么富有富有的，把银子到处堆放，随处乱扔了。玉根儿坐在草木堆上，独享着夜晚独享着星星和月亮。他突然觉得自己什么都拥有了。回个头来看看自己却什么也没拥有。

很快就到了春天。脱去冬装的孩子们在春天阳光下到处奔跑着，沉重的冬季，曾像硬壳一样箍住他们，使他们不能自由自在，他们龟缩在棉袄里，龟缩在屋子里，身体无法舒展。也无舒展的要求。现在，他们可以自由自在的玩耍了，脱下了沉重的负担展向未来。孩子们又该上学堂读书了。

The way I go to school

I’m Li Hua.

I’m Li Hua. I go to school on foot. I have several reasons for that.

First, my home is not very far from my school, it is just about two kilometers away from school. It takes me about 20 minutes to get there. Second, walking to school is a kind of exercise. It is good for my health. Third, it’s pretty safe to walk to school because there is a lot of traffic on the road at this time of a day. So I prefer going to school on foot. It’s really a good choice.
