近年来,环境保护仍存在许多问题。其中最严重的问题之一是空气、水和土壤的严重污染。污染的空气对人体健康有害。污染的水导致疾病和死亡。此外,随着现代城市的快速发展,植被已大大减少。

为了保护环境,许多国家的政府做了很多。已采取立法步骤控制空气污染,保护森林和海洋资源,制止任何环境污染。因此,政府在今天的环境保护中发挥着最重要的作用。
