你可知道，在那看似源源不断的电流背后，每建一座中等规模的发电厂，国家需要投入数亿元的资金；我国８０％的电力来自火力发电厂，这不仅要消耗大量无法再生的煤炭资源，而且煤炭燃烧释放出二氧化硫、二氧化碳等废气，又是空气污染的元凶，“温室效应”的罪魁祸首。随着经济和社会的发展，全国各地用电量不断攀升，电力紧张已经成为阻挡国家前进脚步的沉重包袱。
作为祖国未来的建设者，我们应当从现在起树立节约能源、保护环境的观念，养成节约用电的好习惯。６月６日至１１日是全国节能宣传周，今年宣传周的主题就是“节约用电，缓解瓶颈制约”。为此，我们北京十所中学的全体师生向全国的中学生朋友们发出以下倡议：
一、学习电的知识，了解我国电力紧张的现状，探索火力发电与环境保护之间的关系，认识到节约用电的重要性和紧迫性。
二、从身边开始，从自己做起，做好节约用电随手可做的十件小事：
出门时随手关闭电源；阳光充足时不要开灯；使用浴霸或电热水器洗澡时动作要迅速，不边洗边玩；减少开关冰箱的次数，存取食品后尽快关闭冰箱门；尽量使用太阳能产品和节能灯泡等节能家电；不要无休止地听音乐、玩电脑游戏、看电视等；夏天空调温度不要设置得太低；减少发短信的次数，尽可能地少用电话聊天或问作业；每天１８∶００至２２∶００是用电高峰时段，尽量避开用电高峰使用空调、电加热器等高耗能家电；在家里装修时，建议爸爸妈妈安装双层玻璃，减少热（冷）量的损耗。
三、争当节电宣传员和监督员。积极宣传节约用电的意义，看到浪费电的行为及时劝阻，让更多的人和我们一样懂得节电的重要性，共同节约电资源。
全国的中学生朋友们，让我们携起手来同心协力，节约每一度电，减少一份污染，保存一份资源。

河源基地保安队有两个班，一十九名队员，上班时为增强上班人员的责任心和防止他们无聊、打瞌睡，三个小时必须要转一次岗(12小时制)，每转一次都要写交接记录及每个岗位在不同的地方放置有一小时签一次到的签到本，所以每位队员都配发签字笔，以前签字笔放在保安大门抽屉里，谁要谁拿，没有人管理，一个月下来要用掉一百多支笔，平均每位队员要用6到7支笔，有的基本没写完他们就丢掉，有的上班人员坐在那里没事干拧着玩拧坏了，有的把里面的笔珠弄丢了，所以浪费很严重。
针对这一问题，行政主管相当重视，专门召集队员讨论这事，决定由专人负责，一次一次地发给队员们用，经过一个月的管理，发现原来一个月用掉6---7支笔现在一个月只用三支笔，节省了一半。虽然一支笔要不了多少钱，但节约无大小，就从最基本的小事做起，让每位队员知道“节约莫怠慢，积少成千万”，养成不浪费的好习惯，为公司节省一点点开支。

+ 加入清单以前，我总是浪费纸，有的纸张还没写几个字就扔了。我想：反正用完了，妈妈还会再拿回来的。纸的原料是木头，从树苗长到大树，需要几十年的时间，我浪费这么多纸张，不是等于在浪费木材吗？我决定要节约纸张。现在，我的草稿纸上密密集集地写满了字，原来要用二、三张纸的我，今天只用了一张，节约就这么简单。
我看到那些水资源贫乏的地方，那里的人很少洗澡，喝的水都是咸的，虽然我们这儿是鱼米之乡，不缺水用，但也要节约，因为我们的水也是有限的。以前，我洗手总把水龙头开得很大，还经常忘了关水龙头，这是多么大的浪费？现在我洗手，水声渐渐小了，走之前，总要看看有没有关水龙头。
电，是我们生活中必不可少的，但发电要消耗大量煤炭、石油等有限资源，节电已成为全社会共同关注的话题。在没有节能意识之前，每天晚上，我都要求开灯睡觉，等我睡熟了，才允许妈妈关灯。现在想想，不禁感到非常羞愧，睡觉关灯是多么简单的一件事。
还有，为了我们头顶的天空湛蓝深远，为了脚下的大地绿草如茵，为了身边的湖水清澈透明，为了眼前的阳光灿烂如金……让我们一起加入到节能的行列中！
