Similar with other places in china, we prepare for the festival about half a month before. With the lunar New Year approaching, the red lanterns are hung up along the main streets, making the ancient town filled with the festival atmosphere. While people clean up their houses, decorate it with traditional decorations such as Chinese knots and paper cutting. Each family pastes up Spring Festival couplets to convey their best wishes for the coming year.

On the New Year’s Eve, the whole family sits around, having a

sumptuous feast of reunion. It is worth mentioning that the food we have called maiyouzhi is unique. There is a flat piece of wheat sheet covering various vegetable and meat then rolling them up. What a delicious it is! After dinner, the family always watches the Spring Festival Gala Evening, and sets up fireworks to watch in the New Year.

How time flies! I have been in Zhejiang Gongshang University for a semester. In retrospect, my college life is busy but colorful. Different from my senior high school’s life, the whole new life I led is much freer. I arranged my time,

First of all, study is still the core of my life. I major in Japanese which is both interesting and challenging. We are required to be accomplished in listening, speaking, reading, writing and translating. As a result I had to spend most of time in improving my abilities. As to the after school life, what I consider most meaningful is joining the YVP to serve society. I think it is the responsibility for every university student to make contribution to the community. traditional customs and festivals, especially the custom that people gather to

have dinner as well as ethical culture forms like Peking Opera, ancient

architecture and traditional food. Peking Opera is spreading throughout. As to

ancient architecture like Siheyuan and Hutong, people are still preserving them

well as the symbol of the whole nationalitys historical culture. As for

traditional food, people are still used to eating it. Even though the world has

been extremely highly developed and there are many foreign cultures are pouring

into China, traditional food is still the mainstream. So, I think, although

those hi-tech products bring along unprecedented creature comfort, traditional

cultures will stay unchanged and they will develop further. And on the original

basis, it must creat miracles one after another, because it belongs to the souls

of our Chinese nationality.

Today father took me to the Science and Technology Center. I am fond of invention very much. I know that science and technology is the greatest driving force of human progress. When we entered the Center, there came an interpreter who explained to us the process of those inventions. I saw many plane and satellite models that I have never seen before. Its really an eye-opening day to me.

今天爸爸带我去科技中心。我非常喜欢发明。我知道科技是人类进步的最大动力。当我们进入中心,有一个翻译的过程向我们解释那些发明。我看到许多飞机和卫星模型,我从来没有见过的。这是一个令人瞠目结舌的一天对我来说。

有一天下午，学校放学后我开开心心的来到了公交车站等公车。

就在这时，我的电话手表突然响了起来，里面传来了妈妈的声音：“喂，儿子你现在到家了吗？”“还没到家呢！我在等公车，等下到家了我再给您回个电话！”我跟妈妈说道。

在刚刚简短的对话中，我们体验到了科技的方便性！换做从前，在科技还未如此发达之时，如果我们想要和家人、同学聊天，而距离太远，我们只能通过写信或其他方法与他们沟通。但是这样很不方便，你要把信封交给传信的人，传信人又要千辛万苦的送到收信人的地方，要浪费好几天才能送到。

现在，科技发达了，我们想要传话给家人、同学，只需要打个电话就可以了。同时我们还能听到对方的声音，更有亲切感。例如我们放学后去同学家温习功课，我们也可以通过这个科技功能与家人保持联系，免得家人担心。

这个时候，公交车来了。我坐上了公交车，短短几分钟后就到家了，汽车发展也需要依靠科技，以前，人们想去远的地方，没钱只能辛苦走路，有钱的就坐马车。但是都会舟车劳顿，使人非常的疲惫，而且也非常浪费时间。

现在，科技发达了，想要去远方，开车出去只需要几分钟，如果要去很远很远的地方，我们还可以坐高铁，甚至出国我们都可以坐飞机很快到达。

在生产中，农民伯伯使用的收割机，工厂工人们使用的机械都可以大大的加快我们的工作效率……

在国防上，战士们使用的武器，比如：枪、战车、坦克、战斗机、军舰都能够更好的保护我们美好的生活！

这些都是科技带给我们的便利！如果没有科技，我们的生活就不会不断进步，我们的生活就不会那么方便，科技让生活更加美好，我一定要努力学习，为科学做出贡献！

How time flies!My colorful junior middle school life is coming to an end. Im glad to tell you something about my school life.

When I was six years old, I started school. Since I became a student, I have been studying very hard. My parents are quite proud of me.

Now, I study at Wucun Middle School, which is not only modern but also beautiful. The teachers in my school are so kind and hardworking that I love them very much. All the teachers regard us students as their own children.

Also they are strict with us and strict in their work. I am getting along very well with my classmates. Whenever we have difficulties in our study, we help each other.

I have many interests such as dancing, singing, reading books and playing sports, and I especially enjoy basketball, which makes me smarter and helps me learn faster and better. So Ive improved my life in this way.

以前家里打扫卫生要我们亲自动手打扫，现在有专门清扫的扫地机，只要打开开关，扫地机就会自动打扫卫生，让我们更加的省事。记得妈妈第一次买来扫地机时，妈妈说：“阳阳啊，你猜猜这个机器是干什么的。”我看到它的外形，圆圆扁扁的很像放碟片的CD机。我信心满满的猜：“妈妈，应该的可以放音乐的播放器。”结果妈妈笑呵呵的说：“不是，阳阳你猜错了。”我听后十分的惊讶，很不服气的问妈妈：“妈妈，那它是什么东西啊?”妈妈故作神秘，不揭开谜底，然后把扫地机放在地上，打开开关，看到它一直在自动打扫，我才恍然大悟，原来是扫地机啊。我觉得高科技走进家庭，真的给家里带来很多方便。现在我家又有了滚筒洗衣机帮我们洗衣服，洗碗机帮我们洗碗，很多高科技的产品走进家庭里，大大的方便了千家万户。

现在高科技已经走进了我们的生活，买东西不用辛苦的去走去逛，只要在电脑或手机上登陆淘宝，挑选好后下单，货物就可以直接送到我们的家里。出门坐车可以在手机上直接查看车子具体在哪个位置，几点几分可以到你所在的地点，大大的节约了我们等待的时间。

以前，出门选择陆上交通工具只有汽车、火车。现在选择更多了，有高铁，磁悬浮火车，动车等。大大的方便了出门的人们，缩短了出行路上的时间。

Singles Day was first celebrated at various universities in Nanjing, capital city of Jiangsu Province during the 1990s. It got the name Singles Day because the date is comprised of four "ones". These college students have since graduated, and carried their university tradition into society. Singles Day is now a special day for all fashionable youths.

The main way to celebrate Singles Day is to have dinner with your single friends, but its important that each person pay their own way to show their independence. People also hold blind date parties in an attempt to bid goodbye to their single lives.

光棍节最先在90年代的江苏南京各大高校兴起。之所以叫“光棍节”是因为这一天的日子有四个光棍一样的“1”。大学生们毕业了，把这个传统带到了社会上，光棍节就成了时尚青年们的一个特殊节日。

主流的庆祝方式就是和光棍朋友们一起搓一顿，而且一定要实行AA制。为了脱离单身，人们也会举办相亲会，介绍单身男女认识。
