云南拥有大片的原始森林，风景名胜众多，地理环境独特，自古以来就是一个山清水秀，气候宜人的好地方，可是为了种植这种桉树，大量砍伐原始森林，想象这些经过几十年甚至数百年才形成的树木，仅仅是为了去满足最快速度的造纸而被破坏，真是让人可惜，并且痛心。

据说旱灾的另一个原因，就是所有的大江小河都修起了水电站。对这一点我有自己的感受，早两年湘江的水面多么宽广，可是上游修了一个水电站后，下游的水明显减少，甚至连河床都经常露出来，同时影响到了城市自来水的引水工程，我都有这些感受，那些江河里小鱼虾们感受就应该更深了。

Last Sunday, I went sightseeing with my friends in the Fairy Lake Park. The park was full of freshness and beauty of spring, with the sun shining and birds singing. Stepping into the new century, environment pollution has become more serious than ever since. There are different kinds of pollution. Such as, water pollution, air pollution and noise pollution and so on. It seems that we live on a planet which is full of pollution. Where all these pollution comes from? To a large extend, the environmental destruction is the heavy price that we pay for the rapid development of economy and the growing population. In order to have more fuel, people cut down trees and dig more corals. But the growing needs for energy are hardly to meet. Countless private cars on the street, the gas stations are short of gasoline, even the government has raise the price so many times in order to control the needs of gasoline, but it’s still not working. Overusing the natural resources has already affected the ecological balance. However, the factories still release the toxic air into the sky and the polluted water into the rivers. People still lack of the conscious of protecting the environment. I think it’s time for all of us to do something.

The government should put forward some more strict laws to prevent the environment from being further polluted. And they should let people know more about the importance of environment protection. And we should find the balance between the economic growth and environmental protection. Plant more trees in the deserts and stop cutting down the forest. Forbid the factories to pour the waste water into the rivers directly. Encourage people to use public transportations to work. Both government and ordinary people should join hands together to make our home clean and fresh again. Only in this way, our earth could be a better place to live in.

In the future, humans and animals and plants live in peace, a shotgun into each bird, chainsaw into hits the thick, strong, tall and straight trees, the atomic bomb in the museum, and pulled down the factory chimney, spread a far-reaching blue sky... 在未来有一个山青水秀的城市，山上的森林郁郁葱葱;小溪的河水清澈见底;空气清新甜润。那里没有工厂排出的浓烟，没有河上漂浮的塑料袋，没有被砍伐的树木，只有一片的绿色。

在未来，人类与动植物和平相处，猎枪变成了一只只的小鸟，电锯变成了一棵棵粗壮、结实、挺拔的大树，原子弹在博物馆展出，而工厂的烟囱被拆掉，铺成了湛蓝深远的天空……那时世界上已经没有了“笼子”这个词，处处可见人类和动物一起散步、做游戏的场景。为此，人类还建了一所学校来培养未成年人、动物，教学楼上闪着十二个金灿灿的大字：“大家和谐相处，共建美好家园!”

然而，未来也可能是另外一种景像：一排排的工厂整齐的被建在山坡上，它排出的浓烟把原本瓦蓝瓦蓝的天空污染成了灰色。河水变得臭了、黑了，树木被砍光了，裸露的树桩上有许多的、白色的塑料袋。许多年以后，一场沙尘暴彻底改变了这一切，那一天，沙尘暴铺天盖地地袭来，整个世界昏天暗地，沙尘暴一直刮了九天九夜，所有的城市、工厂全变成了沙漠，一切都消失了。

小朋友，以上两种未来城市你想让世界变成哪一种呢?如果想要第一种，就赶快保护环境，行动起来吧!

电视里经常播放着湖州的迷人风光，古色古香的房屋,干净整洁的街道,风风火火的商店,事实是不是这样呢?

为了了解家乡环境，我对家乡的环境做了一下调查。调查的对象主要是工厂、河流、公共场所等。

一、空气污染

在我们的家乡，空气污染已十分严重。例如：工厂排放的烟尘废气，汽车、火车、轮船排放的烟尘废气，都含有许多对我们人体有害的物质，是空气的主要污染源。随着社会的进步，人们生活水平的不断提高，许多家庭中也有了各式的交通工具，如汽车、摩托车等，它们给我们的生活带来了方便，但是排出的废气却污染了我们周围的空气。

二、水污染

在我们家乡的小河，几乎全都受到了污染。家庭中的脏水，这些都会流进附近的小河，给我们的生活带来了影响。鱼类难以生存，其他生物的繁殖生长也受很大影响。比如奶奶家门前的小河吧!听爸爸说以前的小河，河水清澈见底，他们常去捉小鱼。而现在我来到了河附近，看到的却是另一番景象，河水的两边堆满了垃圾，甚至在河中也漂着一些白色垃圾。河水又黑又浊，哪里还有个小鱼的影子呢?而且河中还发出臭味。这哪里还是清澈见底的小河，简直是个“臭水沟”。

三、噪音污染。

家乡的噪音污染也十分的严重。噪音能影响人们的生活和工作，对听觉和身心健康都有损害，还会影响少年儿童智力发展，影响我们的思考和学习。噪音的主要来源是工厂、街道、建筑工地、公共场所等。在大街上，汽车、摩托车喇叭的声音，以上的三种污染，对我们的正常生活会有很大的影响，如果继续这样下去，还会威胁着我们的身体健康，以及造成其它方面的损失。

Environmental problem has become an important and crucial issue. The abysmal lack of fresh water, the desertification, the green house effect and the extinction of creatures are the main issues in environment.

环境问题已成为一个重要和关键的问题。恶化的淡水缺乏，沙漠化，温室效应和生物灭绝是环境的主要问题。

With each second that passes, a water crisis takes another step closer to reality. Consumption of fresh water has tripled since 1950; and fresh water is becoming a very scarce resource. Agricultural practices, mainly irrigation, account for 67% of world water consumption. Over one billion people worldwide dont have access to clean drinking water. So it is incumbent upon all to respect every drop of water and avoid the generation of waste.

随着每一秒的过去，水危机用其他的方法去接近现实。新鲜水用量自1950年以来已经翻了两番;和淡水已成为一个非常稀缺的资源。农业实践，主要是灌溉，为世界用水量67％以上。全世界十几亿人无法获得干净的饮用水。因此，呼吁所有有责任尊重每一滴水，避免废物的产生。

The soil under our feet is also getting away from us. Removal of the natural vegetation leaves extensive tracts of land devoid of a plant cover and susceptible to wind and water erosion. Finally, desertification is accomplished. Four specific activities have been identified as major contributors to the desertification processes: over-cultivation, overgrazing, firewood gathering, and over-irrigation. The extreme seriousness of desertification results from the great difficulty in reversing or even slowing the process. Once the soil has been removed by erosion, only the passage of centuries or millennia will enable new soil to form. The tree planting is a dominant contributor to the development of the disaster. Another effective measure is to restrain the utilization of the land and to exploit the new technology to improve the productiveness of the arable land.

discussed. And the mitigation of carbon emissions through the development of alternative projects such as solar or wind energy or reforestation, represents one way of managing a carbon footprint.

The greed of human beings is using up the plants and animals. Tigers once roamed over most of Asia and we can only see them in the zoo. Whales are once the dominant species in the ocean and now they have got out of our sight because of over-harvesting. We must stop harvesting natural resources to excess and bring them back from the brink of extinction. If we take from the wild we must do it in ways that allow natural populations to recover and last long into the future.

人类的贪婪是使用了植物和动物。猛虎组织一度横跨了亚洲大部分地区，我们只能在动物园里看到它们。鲸是海洋中的一次优势种，现在他们现在已经离开了我们的视线，因为过度捕捞。我们必须停止过度采伐天然资源，从他们来的地方，带来了灭绝的边缘。如果我们在野外，我们必须采取的这样的方式使自然种群的恢复和持续，一直持续到未来很长的时间里。

The earth is not the human’s planet, it is our planet. It’s time to take measures to improve the environment for both humans and other creatures. A safe, clean and sustainable environment depends on more than lip service. Both the government and individuals have the responsibility to minimize direct impacts against the environment. All of us can start planting plants in our home, limiting the use of private cars and using public transportations. And the government should impose necessary standards upon the whole society. The beautiful and vigorous earth will come back soon.

地球不是人类的星球，它是我们的星球。现在是时候应该采取措施改善人类和其他生物的环境了。一个安全，清洁和可持续的环境不是取决于纸上谈兵。无论是政府和个人都有责任，尽量减少对环境的直接影响。我们都可以在我们的家开始种植植物，限制私家车的使用和使用公共交通。政府应强加给整个社会所必需的标准。美丽和活力地球将会很快回来。
