World Environment Day is commemorated each year on June 5th, and started from 1972, which is established by the United Nations General Assembly for raising global awareness to take actions to protect the Nature. The establishment of World Environment Day shows peoples the cognition and the attitude to the environmental problem, and expresses our human beings desire of pursuing the better environment. Every year the United Nations Environment Program proposes a theme, and the 2014 theme of this day will focus onSmall Island and Climate changeand the slogan is “Raise Your Voice Not the Sea Level”.This years slogan is "To improve environmental quality The development of green".

World Environment Day can be celebrated in lots of ways, for instances, planting trees, doing some recycling, participating the clean-up campaigns and so on. Certainly people can also do something simple, like going to work by bus instead of private cars. I believe if everyone takes environmental actions as a habit, we are doing a big difference for the better environment.

There is a saying that “You can either travel or read,but either your body

or soul must be on the way.” With the improvement of living standards, more and

more people have time and money to travel. Duringtraveling, one can meet

various people, make new friends and experience various lifestyles of different

places.

Almost everyone has their own favorite place to travel because of specific

reasons, such as the people, climate or scenery of that place, the influence of

friends or some beautiful memories and so on.

Nowadays, people do not have to think much about transportation. People can

travel by car or driving themsleves to near places, or by train, plane to far

places.So, if you have a place want to travel, just go and relax yourself.

travelingis usually boring. There are always too many people in the places

of interest in China and it is crowed everywhere, when it comes to the golden

weeks, this situation could be worse. Just imagine that you are waiting in line,

hungry and thirsty. All you want is a ticket that can get through the door to

see the beautiful view. You may complain: “why am I coming to the terrible

place? Why I do this to myself?” If you are unlucky, you may encounter a bad

guide who forces you to shop here and there. How horrible it is! What’s worse,

you may spend more money than usually does.

Why don’t you just stay at home and enjoy the cozy life? You don’t need to

go outside to see the view, you can just turn on the TV or computer, the amazing

view will represent in front of you. You not only save a large sum of money, but

also your precious time. And you can do other things too, such as watching a

classic movie, chatting with friends on the phone or surfing the Internet. This

could be so much fun! Therefore, I prefer to stay at home instead of going

outside.

中秋，中秋……所谓中秋，就是和家人 一起吃月饼，赏明月。今天又是一年一度的中秋佳节，我本想和爸爸妈妈一起坐在院子里，一家人一边谈笑风生，一边看皎洁的月亮里嫦娥奔月呢!可是天空不作美，却下起雨来。也许是被强大的“莫兰蒂”台风吓得不敢出来了吧!再加上奶奶要去服侍生病的老婆太太，不能和我们一起过节，我的心情变得有些低沉。但妈妈烧的一桌丰盛的饭菜，让我的心情得到了一丝的安抚。因为妈妈烧了我最爱吃的螃蟹!

别看它们刚买回一个个横行霸道，瞪着一双双警惕的小眼睛凶恶地张牙舞爪，向我-的样子!可到了饭桌上，它们又换了一副嘴脸。橙红色的壳儿，雪白的肚皮。两只长满刺的大钳子，再也威武不起来了，一双圆溜溜的小眼睛也缩到了壳里。就连表情也变得柔和起来，好像在说：“快吃我吧!快吃我吧!我可好吃了!”看着它们散发着浓浓的香味，我迫不及待地伸出手，选了一只身材十分丰满的螃蟹。先掰开一条蟹脚，轻轻地咬开，将蟹腿里的蟹肉吸出来。肉嫩嫩的，太好吃了!吃完蟹腿，我又急急忙忙剥开蟹壳。哇!露出了金灿灿的蟹黄。我咬上一口，嗯!油而不腻，软中带劲，味道真是妙不可言啊!这时，妈妈端来一碗姜醋汁，说：“蟹是寒性，姜是暖性，配合起来吃，对身体有益。吃过蟹后是不能吃柿子和花生的，要不然会中毒的。”妈妈还教我一个辨别公母的小常识呢：公蟹的肚皮上比母蟹多一个“T”字形的硬壳，而公蟹的蟹黄中有黏糊糊的白色膏体。哦!原来是这样识别公母的呀!

今晚，虽然没有欣赏到明净的月亮，但却让我这个对螃蟹情有独钟的小吃货大饱了口福呢!并且还学到了很多有关于螃蟹的知识，这真是一个特别之夜啊!

A Visit to the Flower Show

Last week Nature Park held a flower show. I went to visit it with my friends. I was very glad to see so many beautiful flowers in the park. I was really amazed to see a sea of colourful

flowers. They told me that some rare flowers came from Taiwan. Thousands of people stopped and watched them carefully. I took many pictures there. Taiwan has always been a part of our country. I am sure sooner or later we can go there to see many more beautiful flowers. What great fun it will be.

Ive been to a lot of beautiful places, but in my mind, the most important thing in my mind is the Forbidden City.

The Forbidden City is a place where the ancient emperor of China can live. The imperial palace has: temple of heaven, echo wall, emperors study and so on many beautiful places. There are colorful flowers in the temple of heaven, very beautiful.
