The environmental issue is getting worse almost every day in cities with very large population. As is often the case, city development outpaces environmental protection. Scientists have developed more effective technologies in waste treatment. As time goes by, more and more people put high priority on the protection of environment for a healthier life.

To sum up, people produce huge amount of garbage and the environment is seriously polluted because of lack of financial resources, sense of responsibility, or efforts. But the world will not turn into a “throw away” society if people put in sufficient efforts to protect our environment.

我小心翼翼地捧起了这只蜻蜓，放在手心里，心疼地看着它。它该有多疼啊?它妈妈该多着急啊?

我想拯救这只小蜻蜓，就让它在我手心里静静地休息了一会儿。我发现，它在挣扎着想扑腾翅膀，于是，我轻轻地把它抛到空中。让我惊奇的是，它居然能飞起来，只是飞得很低，飞得不远，很快就掉在地上。我跑步上前，再次轻轻捧起它，小心地呵护它，再次送它起飞。

就这样，一次，两次，三次……一次次的失败，我们都没有放弃。终于在第八次，小蜻蜓飞起来了，飞得高高的，飞得远远的。我目送着它渐渐远去，心里别提多高兴了。

在这之后的日子里，每当我走在路上，看到空中飞舞的蜻蜓，我总觉得，其中有一只，不，好像好几只，都在向我打招呼。我想，也许，我拯救的那一只就在里面，在它周围的，是它的爸爸妈妈、兄弟姐妹……
