Which is more important, health or wealth? When given this question, different people have varied answers. Some insist that health plays a more important role in our life, while others see more advantages arising from wealth.

To begin with, modern lifestyle has contributed greatly to the increasing amount of waste and garbage we produce everyday. In other words, we have turned into a materialistic and mass-consumption society where we use more and throw away more than ever before. Moreover, countries are running out of space to store garbage and waste material. In fact, securing land for waste disposal raises controversies in many countries.

To solve this intractable problem, every citizen needs to participate in producing less garbage. The environmental issues facing each country are not unrelated to the well being of the rest of the world。 The impact is long term and international in scope。 Without international cooperation and agreement to address such environmental issues as glacial melting at the South Pole， depletion of the ozone layer， water pollution， air polution， etc。， the environmental conditions of the world will deteriorate to the detriment of every nation， not just those that ignore or lack the resources and technology to resolve their individual environmental problems。

As part of the same planet， it is the responsibility of each individual and nation to protect the global environment。 Only international cooperation will provide the timely solutions and the effectiveness needed to stop the deteriorating global environment。

The delicious lunch

Today,when I went home after school at noon,the moment I opened the door,a

good smell drifted out.Then I saw my mother was cooking in the kitchen.Wow!That

were all my favorite food:lobsters,chiken wings,sweet and sour pork

ribs,kung-pao chiken and steamed fish.My mother said:“your uncle,aunt and your

little cousin will come to visit us soon.”No wonder my mother cooked so many

delicious.After we ate lunch,I felt very fulled,because the lunch was actually
