我有一个表弟，他十分调皮。

他眼睛又大又圆，嘴巴小小的，有着西瓜般圆圆的脑袋。他的个子比同龄人要小一些，走起路来很像一条活泼可爱的鱼，所以我给他起了个外号“鱼宝”。他很听话，每当我对着他喊一声：“鱼宝，过来”，他就会蹦蹦跳跳地跑过来。他也很乖，大人们给他布置的任务，他都会积极完成，从不反抗。

有一次，“鱼宝”来我家玩。

到了午餐时间，当鱼汤摆上餐桌时，他还磨磨蹭蹭地不肯来吃饭。我看到他手上握着什么，觉得应该是“鱼宝”最喜爱的玩具小车，于是没有理会。他握紧了手上的东西，脸上露出“狡猾”的笑容，只是谁也猜不透他要做什么。

我沉浸在鱼汤的鲜美之中，从来没有喝过这么美味的鱼汤，我一连喝了好几碗。喝着喝着，忽然发现“鱼宝”不见了。于是全家人大吃一惊，立即开启搜索模式。最后，发现他躲在窗帘后面吃苹果，手上握着几张糖纸，站在那儿哈哈大笑。

虚惊一场，我把他拉回餐桌边，继续喝起鱼汤。不知怎么回事，鱼汤变得有点甜又稍稍有点酸。我一脸疑惑。这时，“鱼宝”蹲在地上边笑边打滚，手上还握着奶糖和橘子糖的包装纸。我要他老实交代，这家伙马上乖乖地坦白了——-原来，他先躲在窗帘后面，当我们去找他时，迅速跑到餐桌前，往鱼汤里放入奶糖和橘子糖，再迅速跑回窗帘底下。

我十分恼火，可是作为哥哥，又不能骂他，只能心里嘀咕：真调皮！

Lu Xun is my favourite writer. He is one of the most famous writers in China. He wrote a lot of literary works.

He was thin and not tall. He always wore a long old coat in that time. At first, he wanted to be a doctor and save people s lives. So he learned medicine, but later he found the Chinese were in sensitive when they faced the oppression of their enemies. So he began to write articles to wake the people up.

Lu Xun wrote some famous novels, he attacked the social mores in that time, and in his works, many persons were known very well, such as Ah Q Kong Yi ji .

I like Lu Xun because I also want to be a great writer like him. I like reading and writing, and I often write some articles in my free time. Though I don t have good literary talent or a large vocabulary, I spend lots of time reading and writing to improve my writing skills.

Lu Xun is my hero, I will learn more from him. I believe I can be a great writer like him in the future.

表弟短短的头发，鼻子挺立，有一双炯炯有神的大眼睛，和小小的嘴巴，皮肤白里透红，长得蛮好看的，就是脾气暴躁。

今天，表弟、堂妹把作业带到我家和我一起做作业，我们都认认真真地做作业，但表弟做了一会儿就不想做。我随便他，和堂妹继续认真地做作业。表弟没人陪他玩，觉得很闷，东搞西搞，搞完那样又搞那样，没完没了。

最后玩得没东西玩，就把一个好好的袋子剪成一条像绳子一样，然后套着堂妹的脖子，把堂妹吓哭了。我叫他不要这样，他不听，反而越来越大力，我上前阻止他，推开表弟，结果表弟摔倒了。他气得七窍冒烟，用脚来踢我，幸亏我身手敏捷，闪得快，不然就给他踢中了。

结果虽然没有给表弟踢中但是也为了闪开他摔倒

了。表弟幸灾乐祸，在笑嘻嘻的。我心想：我要跟他干一仗，大战三百回合，让他知道打人是不对的。就这样跟表弟打起来，结果表弟打输了，不服气，就把我家的东西摔烂了，妈妈刚好回来看见了，就问怎么回事，表弟马上告状说：“表姐和堂妹俩人先动手打我的。”

妈妈看了一下情景说：“你们都不对。”我也很委曲的哭了。

表弟更加蛮不讲理，说妈妈好说，都不对，躲得一角猛哭，妈妈怎么哄他都不听，结果叫他妈妈来把他带走，家里才安静下来。

Thanks for your last letter. Im so glad that you have been able (at last! ) to arrange a holiday in Australia. As I fear I wont be able to meet you at the airport when you arrive, nor will I be able to be home until later in the afternoon, so here are some instructions and suggestions.

There is a bus from the airport to the city. It is much cheaper than a cab. Take the bus to the city and ask to get off at Town Hall railway station.

To get to my place in the eastern suburbs you have three options. You can either take a cab, a bus or the train. I suggest you take the train, since the airport bus will leave you right at the station. Get off at Cliff Station. From there you can either walk to my place (about ten minutes) or take a taxi. Probably you should take a taxi as you will have luggage.

When you arrive at my flat, ring the intercom for Flat 2. My friend Lillian will be at home and she will open the front door for you and let you into my flat.

Presumably you will be tired and want to sleep. But if you feel like some exercise after that long flight, you could stroll down to Cooper Park, which is only ten minutes away ? you can see it from the window.

There has been a long time since I came back from Hainan―wowhainan is such a wonderful place that I will never forget it .It‘s really a good place where gave me a rather good impression. I feel so wonderful during the journey as I have experienced a lot of things for the first time.

In January 7th ---the first day of my journey the fluttering snowflakes diffused over Changzhou. I first took the train to shanghai then took the plane to Hainan in Pudong airport. Although it’s my second time to take plane I felt even more excited than the first time. When flying I found that I was flying over the cloud of different types and colors. The sky is also brighter and clearer than that I had ever seen. Soon we arrived in Meilan airport in Haikou the climate is totally different from that in Changzhou It was warm there and we could see coconut trees everywhere.

After 3 days competition I went to BoAo where is famous for its forum. It was my first time to experience the sea and the beach in the sunshine. When sitting on the cruise I could clearly see the ocean waves pushing the windows of the cruise. It seemed that I was surrounded by the waves and the crystal water. I felt as if a fish which had been living in the sea happily. Then we land on the beach. The sand on the beach was so soft that it was cosy to lie on the beach. I tried searching for the shells on the beach but failed. The beach was totally different from what I heard before as there was nothing except footsteps on the beach. In the afternoon I played football on beach and scored a goal with my new friends from all around China. It was really interesting and challenging.

The next day I went to Haikou. I first visited the tomb of Hairui an officer in Qing dynasty who was famous for rectitude. I think he should be the role model of every person. In the afternoon I went to the geological park of volcano. A lot of stones of different shapes came into views. When arriving the top of the park it seemed that the while city was under my view. Also I had seen plenty of interesting and rare types of the plants. I also got into a small hole in the park it is said that the hold was exactly the original hole where maqma came from. But the volcano had stopped from erupting for thousands of years.

I can’t forget this trip not only does it give me a lot of joy knowledge and good memory but also it give me a chance to make friends with people from different fart in China. By enjoying the excellent scenery I think I have fallen in love with this beautiful city. I will cherish this experience.

How to Make Friends

It’s hard to makefriends if you stay alone all the time. It’s easier to

make friends whenyou have similar interests. Look at people in the eyes when you

talk to them. Don’t be afraid to show people whatyou are really good at. Talk

After I read the news, I felt very excited. Lei Feng was a good example all

故事虽短，我却感触颇多，不由得让我想起去年寒假的一件事，记得还是大年初八，大家都还沉浸在过年的喜悦中，我们全家人准备去到朋友家去拜年，我们来到了表弟的家里，我妈妈就让我在表弟家玩个几天，也毕竟好久不见。说起我那表弟，我就暗自发笑，他可是一个不折不扣的吃货，每次吃完中饭，胃就如一台搅拌机一样高速运转，很快就消化完了，便要我带他去买吃的，他买吃的钱都花我的钱，几天下来，我实在是忍无可忍，要他自己去赚钱。

于是，表弟决定要给父母帮帮忙，来赚点外快，他郑重其事地找来一张白纸，认认真真地记录下来，纸上赫然写着：拖地，一元；扫地，一元，倒垃圾2元；整理房间，三元……每件事都好好地罗列出来。很显然，表弟下了自己要努力赚钱的信心，***妈不断提醒他：一定要坚持下去。

Though regional differences provide a sense of diversity, commonalities in language and religion connect a culture distinguished by such significant contributions such as Confucianism and Taoism. Confucianism was the official philosophy throughout most of Imperial Chinas history and strongly influenced other countries in East Asia. Mastery of Confucian texts provided the primary criterion for entry into the imperial bureaucracy.

With the rise of Western economic and military power beginning in the mid-19th century, Western systems of social and political organization gained adherents in China. Some of these would-be reformers rejected Chinas cultural legacy, while others sought to combine the strengths of Chinese and Western cultures.

China is a unified nation consisting of many different ethnic groups. Fifty-six different ethnic groups make up the great Chinese national family. Because the Han people accounts for more than ninety percent of Chinas population, the remaining fifty-five groups are generally referred to as "ethnic minorities." Next to the majority Han, the Mongolian, Hui, Tibetan, and Uygur peoples comprise the largest ethnic groups. Although Chinas ethnic minorities do not account for a large portion of the population, they are distributed over a vast area, residing in every corner of China.

Particularly since the implementation of Chinas opening and reform policy, the central government has increased investment in minority areas and accelerated their opening to the outside world. This has resulted in an upsurge of economic development in these areas. Each of Chinas ethnic minority groups possesses a distinctive culture. The government vigorously supports the development of minority culture and the training of minority cultural workers, and fosters the development of traditional minority medicine.

The relation among Chinas ethnic groups can be described as "overall integration, local concentration, mutual interaction." Concentrations of ethnic minorities reside within predominantly Han areas, and the Han people also reside in minority areas, indicating that there has been extensive exchanges among Chinas ethnic groups since ancient times. With the development of the market economy, interaction among ethnic groups has become even more active in the areas of government, economics, culture, daily life, and marriage. Linked by interdependence, mutual assistance, and joint development, their common goals and interests creating a deep sense of solidarity, Chinas ethnic groups resemble a great national family, together building Chinese civilization.

表弟这么小，但是还很大度呢。记得有一次，我一不小心，把表弟最心爱的笔摔坏了，我连忙说。“对不起，我不是故意的。"表弟回答：“没关系，笔还可以再买嘛！”我从心底里觉得表弟懂得宽恕别人，我真是自愧不如啊！

A folk culture is a small isolated， cohesive， conservative， nearly self-sufficient group that is homogeneous in custom and race with a strong family or clan structure and highly developed rituals. Order is maintained through sanctions based in the religion or family and interpersonal. Relationships are strong. Tradition is paramount， and change comes infrequently and slowly. There is relatively little division of labor into specialized duties. Rather， each person is expected to perform a great variety of tasks， though duties may differ between the sexes. Most goods are handmade and subsistence economy prevails. Individualism is weakly developed in folk cultures as are social classes. Unaltered folk cultures no longer exist in industrialized countries such as the United States and Canada. Perhaps the nearest modern equivalent in Anglo America is the Amish， a German American farming sect that largely renounces the products and labor saving devices of the industrial age. In Amish areas， horse drawn buggies still serve as a local transportation device and the faithful are not permitted to own automobiles. The Amish＇s central religious concept of Demut "humility"， clearly reflects the weakness of individualism and social class so typical of folk cultures and there is a corresponding strength of Amish group identity. Rarely do the Amish marry outside their sect. The religion， a variety of the Mennonite faith， provides the principal mechanism for maintaining order.

By contrast a popular culture is a large heterogeneous group often highly individualistic and a pronounced many specialized professions. Secular institutions of control such as the police and army take the place of religion and family in maintaining order， and a money-based economy prevails. Because of these contrasts， "popular" may be viewed as clearly different from "folk". The popular is replacing the folk in industrialized countries and in many developing nations. Folk-made objects give way to their popular equivalent， usually because the popular item is more quickly or cheaply produced， is easier or time saving to use or leads more prestige to the owner.
