1.名词化趋势

注意:名词化趋势的句子当然还有动词, 目的是尽量把表达句子中心意思的那个词汇用名词表达.符合英文的习惯.

2.无灵主语(区别于被动语态)

我们中文写作中,习惯以人做主语,而英文则相反,习惯以物做主格.

More and more young students studied further in the past two decades.

-->The past two decades witnessed a growing number of young students for further study.

Looking out of the window, you will have a nice view.

-->A glance out of the window offers you a nice view.

注意: 名词化趋势和无灵主语常常是相结合的.

3.被动语态

这一点大家比较熟悉,不详细讲.比如:

二、句式的写作:

Main features of English sentences:

1.长短句结合

Love is patient and kind. It is never jealous, boastful, proud or rude. It keeps no record of wrong that others do. It always protects, always fruits, always hopes, and always perseveres. Love never fails.

一般来讲,总结性的句子应当使用短句,而说理的句子应用长句.

2.并列复合句

这种句子属于十分难写的句子,也举一个例子:

He who wants to save his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for me will save it.

3.单一复合句

也就是我们常说的各种从句,不再举例.

三、Variety of sentences:

1. ”-ing & -ed” groups

e.g.

5.主语从句

句子的变化还有 It is self-evident(adj) that…….和There be 这样的句子

6.倒装

(1)将一些否定性含义的副词和短语在句首,用倒装会使句子生色不少.

Never before has such a high standard been achieved.

(2)为使描绘更加生动,与介词同形的副词可以移动到句首,而把主语放到谓语后面去.

四、插入语

插入语可以是一个小词,也可以是一个同谓语的形式.

1.先看一个小技巧：(对there be 句型均有效)

通俗的讲,在老外眼里,主语与谓语离的越远,句子的档次越高.

2.插入语后面再接上一个定语从句;

再看几个同谓语从句的例子:

就是说:将题目中的中心词拿出来,进行宽泛的解释.

我轻手轻脚地向二楼跑去，当我打开二楼房门的时候，差点没把我给气死，只见表弟开着空调，一手拿着水果冰棒，一手拿着鼠标正玩游戏呢！一看见我还很淡定地说：“哥帮我通下关卡呗。”

“好吧、好吧！”心想，你说难道把刚才的约定完全忘了吗？

哎！我承认我能有这样一个古灵精怪奇葩表弟，我真是无话可说。

我的表弟叫彬彬，今年三岁，是一个非常可爱的小孩儿。他有一双美丽的大眼睛，长长的睫毛，白白的皮肤，很像女孩儿，我很喜欢他。

我的表弟经常到我家来玩，每一次来都是从楼下就开始叫“哥哥，开门！”一点都不斯文，妈妈说，彬彬一说话就露出男儿本色了。彬彬到我家的第一件事就是冲进我的小屋，趴到我的玩具箱里，把所有的枪炮、汽车、飞机等都搬出来，摆在地上，排成长龙，搬不动时，就叫我来帮忙，我很乐意跟表弟玩。

有时我们也玩捉迷藏的游戏，轮到他藏的时候，他一藏好，就大声喊；“哥哥，抓吧。”结果，我一下就抓住他了。你说他笨不笨。

我有一个表弟，名付字子敖，已经八岁了，长着一双明亮的眼睛，一个圆圆的大脑袋。俗话说得好：“头大脑子空，做官到北京”，各位看官，别看我的表弟脑袋大，叫他好好学习简直比登天还难。你不信？不信听我简单说说。

表弟属于“午托”，中午不回家，在辅导班生活和学习。每天中午一吃过饭，老师就让他学习，有时背语文，有时学数学。这可把表弟气坏了，为了逃脱，于是打起了歪主意，一放学就放声大哭，有时捂着肚子，说肚子疼；有时摸着脑袋，说头疼；有时实在没招，就说回家拿作业本子，总找理由让外爷接他回家。时间一长，老师发现了秘密，就告诉了外婆，一气之下，外婆再也不准外爷接他了。

“午托”不算最头疼的，表弟最头疼的事就是念课文，每次念课文，他总紧紧皱着眉头，一个字一个字的迸，就像挤牙膏。前面念完，后面竟不知道念的啥；有时后面的念完，前面内容又忘了。有一天，老师教表弟学习《早发白帝城》，老师教几遍，让他自学。一个小时过去了，表弟却还没读过来。因为我跟表弟是同桌，加上成绩好，老师就把督促表弟的任务交给了我，这真是晴天霹雳啊！我在家里早就领教了他的“嘴上功夫”，唉！真是哑巴吃黄连，有苦说不出啊。然而，“圣旨”难抗。我一接“旨”，立即教表弟。刚开始，他学得挺认真。时间稍过一会儿，思想便开了小差，一会儿上厕所，一会儿拍蚊子。“这样下去得了！”我使出浑身解数，哄，蒙，工夫不负有心人，最后，总算让他背过来了。我高高兴兴就领着表弟接受老师检查，表弟背：“朝辞白帝彩云间，千里江陵一日还”，开头背得挺不赖，我正暗自叫好，不料，他却大出“洋相”。你道为何？他把后两句背成了：“两岸猴子不叫唤，小船已过八宝山。”老师和同学们哄堂大笑，我心里那个气呀，真想上去给他两巴掌。

前几天，上数学课，学习“两位数加法”，超过十的向前一位进一，老师一连讲了三遍，表弟做了十题，错了八题。老师用教鞭教训了表弟三下，再做，十题全对，老师调侃他：“付子敖，不打不行，一打全对，真得感谢这根教鞭。付子敖，你是老师教会的，还是教鞭教会的？！”表弟不假思索：“教鞭教会的！”，老师一连问三遍，他都说是教鞭教会的，同学们笑倒一片。
