眼看着就要走了，妈妈催促着。我装好铅笔盒，背上书包，回头看了看牛牛。他用力地向我挥着手，还大声地吼着：“不许反悔啊！”我使劲地点了点头。

Taking away basic aid status and slashing our school budgets is a recipe for

educational disaster in our school. The future lies with our children. They must

that provides high quality education for our children. Cutting funding in

districts like ours will have a negative impact on property values.

在一天深夜，已经是晚上十点了，可表弟还没入睡。只见他静悄悄的拿起一本书，小心翼翼地翻着一页又一页，目不转睛地盯着书中的文字，像一只贪婪的饿狼，大口大口地咀嚼着文字中的奥秘。他那一举一动是那么的小心，那充满智慧的大眼睛时不时地瞥向房门，可书中的故事却把他拉了回来，表弟忘了警惕，聚精会神地翻看着书，在书的海洋里，表弟忘了世界，也忘了自己……不知什么时候，奶奶站在了床前，一把夺下了表弟手中的书，表弟才从书海中走出。

还有一次，奶奶出去了，表弟又坐在沙发上全神贯注地啃着他的点心——书。窗外汽车的鸣叫声和狗叫声丝毫没有影响表弟。“叮咚！”门铃响了，奶奶回来了，可表弟没有察觉，门铃又响了，还是没人开门。奶奶吓了一身冷汗，以为表弟出事了，赶紧用钥匙开门，却哭笑不得，原来表弟在看书，奶奶心中的巨石放下了。
