I am highly disappointed in the proposed 2004-05 budget cuts to educa1ion.

Taking away basic aid status and slashing our school budgets is a recipe for

educational disaster in our school. The future lies with our children. They must

have access to high quality educa1ion.

My husband and I have worked hard to be able to live in a school district

that provides high quality education for our children. Cutting funding in

districts like ours will have a negative impact on property values.

The school that my daughter attends is hardly wha1 I would describe as a

"rich" school. Parents are asked to pay for books for all the classes, science

supplies and for their students to participate in the performing arts among

other items. If our school is to remain a world leader in technological

development, cutting our school funds is the worst possible choice to make.

Education funds should not be diverted away from education.

With the advent of mobile phone and computer , the phenomenon that people

always are phubbing are becoming more and more popular.So many students phubbed

in the coach ,train or restaurant even walked on the road.

As to this issue,different people has different ideas .Some take the view

that it is no use connecting but may cause the big events .Such as the accident

or fight.There is no doubt that phubbing is a false behavior .While others think

the opposite,they agree that there is no way but have to do it .because the time

is limited.

As far as I am concerned ,every coin has two sides .while most people

叫斌斌，他长得虎头虎脑，伶俐可爱，活像画上的卡通人物。

去年春天，舅舅带他来我家做客。那些日子可真有意思。一天斌斌翻着我的作业本。“写错啦！写错啦！”他突然喊起来，接着就操起橡皮擦去我写的“牛”字，再拿起笔，歪歪斜斜地写了个“午”字。

我的表弟姓牛，可能正是因为姓牛吧，有一股子牛脾气。辩论起来谁也辩不过他，可谓伶牙利齿也。

他学习很好，但是品德有点那个。通常，我的秘密都会被他毫无保留的宣扬出去，不出一天，几乎就是地球人都知道。 也许你会问，他的嘴那么厉害吗？我可以回答：yes。他是很要强的，几乎有点过分了，让人都觉得和他交往很可怕。 如果，你偶而赢了他，他还有耍赖的歪招。比如：有一次，我和他踢足球，赢了他，以他的性格是不可能服输的，硬说我赖皮，这儿也没有裁判，也没有证据，我和他据理力争，他态度很恶劣，见争不过我，踢了我一脚，跑了。

还有一次，我和他下象棋，赢了，他却一下子把桌子掀翻了，棋子撒了一地，他扬尘而去。

他还非常虚伪，搞表面一套，背后一套。把外婆外公讨好的团团转，一个劲夸他懂事。而在背后，他就会说别人的坏话，嘲笑他人，好象就他是天才，别人都是白痴。只是别人不和他一般计较罢了。

我觉得他很可惜，那么聪明，学习也顶刮刮的，但像他这样的人品，如果不改掉坏毛病，以后走向社会，又如何立足啊？

不过，作为哥哥，我会让他认识自己的缺点，改正他的不足，我相信，我能做到！

Our family enjoyed a wonderful New Years evening family dinner because it is seldom to get so many relatives to get together.My uncle,aunt and cousin,my best friend,came and had dinner with us.It took almost whole afternoon to prepare the dishes.Of course,that is a chance to show my mom and my aunts cooking skill.We also try to do something to help them,but,what we got was "going to play".It is happy for me to hear that rather than "go to do your homework".The evening dinner is so good,everyone enjoyed and aet overload to their stomach.So wonderful dinner,so wonderful new year.

Nowadays,more and more families choose to have the dinner on New Year’s Eve in restaurants.Though this choice doesn’t follow our tradition,I think it’s good and should be encouraged.

First,it’s obviously more convenient to do so.The process of preparing a home-made New Year’s Eve dinner is not only hard but also annoying.People have to buy food several days before the festival and spend a long time cooking all sorts of dishes.Now,just pick up the telephone and reserve a table.Everything will be well arranged by the restaurant.

Second,it still create a warm atmosphere by getting the family united,which is the true purpose of the dinner.In the restaurant,you celebrate the New Year and share your happiness with other families and usually can enjoy special performances or activities,organized by the owner of the restaurant.

To make a conclusion,having the dinner on New Year’s Eve outside shows a change in people’s thoughts on traditions and seems to be a wise,nice and exciting idea.

There is a trend that more and more families have their dinner on New Year’s Eve in the restaurant.Although it is more convenient,it doesn’t seem to be a pleasure thing for me.

Firstly,the restaurants are too crowded.Owing to this,we cannot talk freely.In addition,the sense of harmony cannot be felt by the family members.

Secondly,it may cost us a big sum of money which we can save by having the dinner in our own families.The whole family’s preparation for the dinner is also a process of enjoying according to my view.

In a word,it is not a good idea to have New Year’s Eve dinner in the restaurant.Home dinner makes a happy New Year.

As we all know, Beijing is facing the air pollution, a kind of environment pollution. Now Beijing is also famous of hazy weather, which is harmful to people’s health because of PM2.5 and PM10.

Why is our capital suffering the hazy weatherIn my view, Beijing is a center of economy, culture and politics, so she has a heavy traffic. As a result, there are a lot of cars here, then the exhaust of them become a part of reason of the air pollution. Besides, in order to have a good economy development, there are many factories around Beijing, the exhaust of the factories become another part of reason of the air pollution. The most import, our country is a developing one, and do not have enough ability to solve the pollution well while focusing on developing, just like UK was called The City of Fog before.

Now, Beijing has taken a lot of actions to deal with the hazy weather. Firstly, setting up the Bicycle exclusive channel, people are

encouraged to ride but not to drive, in this way, the exhaust of cars is decline. Secondly, many factories are forced to move to Hebei Provence, thus, they can continue to make a contribution to Beijing’s economy development and the air pollution is controlled. Finally, the buses and subway have a lower price than other cities, so that people prefer to go on work by bus or subway. And the limit line caused by tail number is effect, too.

I persist that the air pollution of Beijing can be controlled someday later.

“虫虫” 最喜欢洗澡玩水，但却对洗头不怎么感兴趣。记得一次，他外公给他洗完澡后准备给他穿衣服，可他却赖在洗澡盆里用手拍打着水花，用脚蹬着水，把他外公的衣服都弄湿了，任凭别人怎么呼唤，他也不肯起来。但提起洗头，那可就与洗澡大大不同了。每当洗头的时候，他就和大人玩起了“捉迷藏”。若是被大人找到了，他便大声喊叫，把整个厕所都搞得乱哄哄地。

之所以“虫虫”长得肥嘟嘟的，是因为他的食量特别大。早餐一次最多要吃一碗鸡蛋，一碗豆浆和半个馒头哩！

“虫虫”还爱“打乒乓球”。那时一个晚上，“虫虫” 因为没吃饭而哭了。这时，我正在看电视。当转到体育频道时，看见在举行乒乓球比赛。“虫虫”见了，立刻不哭了。而是学着电视里的队员，胡乱地挥舞着手，嘴里还“嘻嘻”地笑呢！

“虫虫”照相，是最有意思的了。一天，表姨准备给我和“虫虫”照一张相片。妈妈边把“虫虫”的小帽子戴在他头上，边说：“‘虫虫’笑一笑”。没想到“虫虫”向听懂似地，把嘴弄成一条缝，把手举得高高地，准备照相。但表姨把照相机放下来的时候，他的手也跟着放了下来，表姨再次把照相机拿好的时候，他也把手再次举了起来。整屋子的人看见了他那滑稽的样子，都情不自禁地笑了。

我的表弟长着一张樱桃小嘴，嘴巴正上方是一根塌塌的小鼻子；鼻子上是一双大大的眼睛；眼睛上的睫毛足足有两根牛毛接在一起那么长，所以，他总是自吹自擂地说：“我的眼睫毛是世界上最长的了。”在他的小小脑袋两旁有对像猪八戒似的耳朵；他的身材不胖也不瘦。他的手指甲缝中总有黑黑的东西，那可不是细菌，而是泥沙。他最喜欢干的一件事就是挖泥土、挖石子儿、拆“屋子”。目前为止，他至少有10辆玩具铲车，有5辆玩具货车，外婆家那可怜的花坛，已经被他玩弄得不成样子，外面的围墙破烂不堪，里面的花草七零八落，一部分已经被掩埋了。别看他小，脾气就像一头倔驴，如果他不想去幼儿园，8个人也抬不走他。如果你和他相处久了，你就会发现，他的语言有规律，当他要某件物品，你不给他时，他会说：“不给我买我要哭的！”当你在他玩的时候碰了他一下，他会说：“别烦。”你再次碰，他会说：“你干嘛呀？”你碰第三次，他会说：“再弄我就要打你了。”当然，他不会真的打你，你碰他第四次，他会去找我外婆说：“奶奶，打她一顿！”

我弟就是那么淘气，是个名副其实的淘气包。

我的表弟今年五岁了，长得可俊俏了！白白嫩嫩的皮肤，一双炯炯有神的大眼睛上面有着一副柳叶眉。我可喜欢我这天真无邪又有点儿小机灵的表弟了！

表弟真是幽默啊！有一次我烤了一些饼干给他吃，因为第一次做饼干，我心里不免有些紧张，看着表弟把一块饼干塞进嘴巴，我急忙问道：“怎么样？怎么样？好不好吃？”表弟没有直接回答我的问题，反到问我：“你想听真话还是假话？”“假话吧！”“真难吃。”我心里一高兴，假话是真难吃，那真话一定是好处！我迫不及待地问：“那真话呢？”我马上想听到表弟说好话，可表弟却说了句“太难吃了！”在一旁的表姐听了，把嘴里的水都给笑喷了出来，表弟呢？也被我的“扰痒神功”给教训了一顿。

表弟不仅幽默，而且很沉着。有一次我们在公园玩耍的时候，表姐不小心摔了一跤，膝盖摔破了，我手忙脚乱，不知道该怎么办。表弟却十分镇静，他叫我将表姐带到公共厕所去清洗伤口，又拿出手帕小心地将伤口包扎好。我惊讶地望着他，问道：“谁教你的？”表弟笑嘻嘻地说：“幼儿园老师教我的。”

表弟虽然有听话的时候，但也有不听话的地方，就拿他不肯吃饭这件事来说吧。表弟几乎一到吃饭的时间就要哭，因为不肯吃饭而被阿姨打哭的。时间久了，阿姨也练就了一个制服表弟的办法—用他最爱吃的零食来威胁他，表弟要是不肯吃饭，就一个星期不许吃零食，所以表弟每次都会乖乖地妥协，不然嘛，下场可惨了。哈哈，表弟，你可要乖乖的吃饭哟！

我喜欢我这个幽默、沉着、又不乖乖吃饭的表弟！

My hometown is beautiful place It stands near a wide river at the foot of

low green hills. It has many tall buildings and wide streets. There are trees

and flowers everywhere.But it has not always been like that. In the old days, it was a sad dirty

little town. Landlords and merchants lived in the few good houses.For the working people there were only dark, unhealthy rooms in old

buildings and huts in narrow muddy streets. Nearly everyone was poor and many

had no work.Everything has changed since liberation. The people, led by the Party, have

got rid of the mud and dirt. They have put up schools, theaters, shops and

flats. They have an assembly hall and a hospital.Along the river they have built offices, hotels and parks. A lot of

factories have sprung up. On the river, streamers and boats come and go busily,

day and night. They carry the products of our industries to all parts of the

country.I love my hometown, and I love its people. They also have changed. Healthy

and happy, they are going all out to build socialism.

我有一个表弟名字叫周鑫，她有一头乌黑发亮的头发，有一双九九有神的眼睛，有一个樱桃大小的小嘴巴白白的皮肤粗糙的双手非常淘气，善良。

一次我买了几条小鱼，放在大鱼缸，我表弟趁我不在家的时候用一个捕鱼网在那里捞鱼一下子就把这些鱼捞死了，我回来了去看我的鱼啊，我的鱼哪里去了？被谁弄死了？我要找他算账表弟听见了就立马躲了起来，我找了我家没有发现有人在我家，我想了一下，有可能是我表弟。下了楼就看见我表弟了，我就跑过去说是不是你把我的鱼弄死了？表弟出了身冷汗，我就举起拳头向他打去忽然妈妈拦住了，不然真的打表弟一顿。

有一次是我表弟去顶楼，发现了一条黄色毛茸茸的狗，他就总是拿着它的尾巴提上来，又放下去狗就逃跑了，狗有时候被表弟踢都不接近他了。

还有一次去碧州公园玩，走着走着看见了一位白发苍苍的老人摔累教表弟看见了飞快的跑了过去，用双手抬起这位老人。老人说：“谢谢了，谢谢了”

这是我淘气，又善良的表弟。

Low-carbon life is good for everyone. To help with the environment, I

always walk or ride a bike to school instead of taking a car. Besides, I will

try to use things that can be recycled and I never forget to turn off the lights

when I leave the classroom. I think it’s my duty to live a low-carbon life. And

even the simplest activities can make a real difference to the environment. So I

suggest we should reuse books as long as possible. And we’d better not spend

much money on expensive clothes. If everyone does something for the environment,

I believe the earth will be a better place.
