On the other hand, there are not only specific individual responsibilities in diverse areas but also some fundamental values and accountabilities, which we all human beings cherish. From the moment one can speak or even is born, the society begins to instill the moral and ethical standards, which is so called humanity in every one‘s mind. The older one is, the deeper influence the humanity would be. When one is just a little child, he would go directly to what he like and claim it. If there are impurities in the air, they may be absorbed by our bodies and make us ill.

We need clean air, but unfortunately, air pollution is globally present, especially in cities.

Many large cities are anything but pollution-free. Our cities have many factories, which we need to make food, clothing and other things.

Every year these factories pour millions upon millions of tons of smog into air.

Power plants and houses that burn coal add greatly to air pollution. Besides, there are more cars in cities now.

Once out on the streets, they will take in fresh air and replace it with poisonous gases.

Our country is trying hard to prevent and control air pollution. As long as every citizen also realizes its importance and makes join efforts, the day will come soon when people will take in only clean air.

每天我放学回家，走过小区那片绿油油的草地时，看到周围干干净净，就会想起一位老奶奶。

老奶奶是我偶然发现的。刚开始我看见她拿着个袋子在那捡垃圾，以为她是个环卫工人，但后来才知道老奶奶并不是环卫工人，而是一位退休老人。有一次，我约了几个好朋友在那片草地上做游戏，玩着玩着，一个伙伴随手把手上的空饮料瓶扔到草地上。过了一会儿，那位老奶奶走来，弯下腰，把我那伙伴仍的空饮料瓶捡了起来，放到一个袋子里，我看到那个袋子里装满了垃圾和空饮料瓶。太阳火辣辣地晒着我们，老奶奶已经满头大汗了，但依然认真仔细地捡着我们身边的垃圾。老奶奶捡完后，就对我们说：“小朋友们，我们大家一定要保护环境，不能乱扔垃圾，知道吗？”我们听后，脸都红了，感到非常惭愧，特别是那个扔空饮料瓶的伙伴。我想：老奶奶都那么老了，都不嫌脏，天天来捡垃圾。还那么保护环境，我们是学生，更要自觉保护环境。

老奶奶天天坚持来那片草地捡垃圾，既不怕辛苦，也不嫌脏，用自己的双手保护了那一片绿绿的草地的环境卫生。

垃圾，看起来是一件很普通、很平凡的事情，但她天天能坚持去捡垃圾，那就是一件不容易、不平凡的事情。我们今后要保护环境，爱护大自然才行。

Today I am very glad here to share my opinionsabout the protection of environment.

With the development ofscience and technology ,different kinds of pollution has been produced andcaused global concern recently.

As we know, people have beenliving on the earth for thousands of years, human activity damaged natural environment, such as excessive abuse of natural resources ,the sewage dischargedfrom factories ,the animal slaughter ,kinds of chemical fertilizers andgreen-house effect. All that is mentioned above has a bad impact on the eco-system .Now, many animals aredying out. We are suffering from unhealthy food and water, we are faced withharmful rays and global warming. It was ourselves who had made a series oftroubles. As you can see, we are the final victim.

Above all, if we human beings cannot recognize theseserious problems and try our best to solve them soon, we would finally lose theenvironment suitable for us to live. So, it is our duty to protect theenvironment ,but what should we do to protect it?

In my opinion, the first and important thing is tounite all forces ,that is to say---gather all hearts together. Next we shouldprotect and plant more trees, which can dispose of the dust in the air. As forfamilies, it is effective to ride bicycles rather than drive cars. Don’t litteranywhere as you like. In addition, sorting and recycling the rubbish also playan essential role in the protection of our earth. We’d better call on everyone aroundus to lead a low-carbon life, as it may make a difference to the environment.

Thus, it’s high time that we did something to improveour surroundings. Everybody should raise the awareness to protect our motherearth. Let’s appeal to more people to join us.
