Thanks for your last letter. Im so glad that you have been able (at last! ) to arrange a holiday in Australia. As I fear I wont be able to meet you at the airport when you arrive, nor will I be able to be home until later in the afternoon, so here are some instructions and suggestions.

There is a bus from the airport to the city. It is much cheaper than a cab. Take the bus to the city and ask to get off at Town Hall railway station.

To get to my place in the eastern suburbs you have three options. You can either take a cab, a bus or the train. I suggest you take the train, since the airport bus will leave you right at the station. Get off at Cliff Station. From there you can either walk to my place (about ten minutes) or take a taxi. Probably you should take a taxi as you will have luggage.

When you arrive at my flat, ring the intercom for Flat 2. My friend Lillian will be at home and she will open the front door for you and let you into my flat.

Presumably you will be tired and want to sleep. But if you feel like some exercise after that long flight, you could stroll down to Cooper Park, which is only ten minutes away ? you can see it from the window.

当我们收拾书包开始享受寒假生活的时候，当满大街的吆喝叫卖声响起时，看着忙碌的人们开始办年货时，听着乡村屠宰师傅的喊叫声，夹杂着案子上牲口的嘶叫声，伴着从远处灶台边飘来的一缕缕清香，我知道年越来越近了。

终于，除夕夜踏着欢快的脚步来了，她点亮各家各户的大红灯笼，刷新每家每户的红对联，她让每个忙碌的人面带微笑。今年我们早在腊月二十八这天就挂好灯笼，贴好对联，做好了年三十才做的事。听爸爸说今年的立春在除夕这一天，相传立春这一天不能贴对联，虽无科学道理，为了遵从习俗，我和爸爸也“迷信”了一回。莫不是人们盼春心切，早早的年味儿十足吧。

除夕还有一个最大的期盼，那就是一大桌让我们垂涎欲滴的年夜大餐。以往，我们早早就回到老家，大人们忙着洗菜，切菜，氽菜，蒸炸烹煮，哗哗的流水声，砰砰案板的撞击声，滋溜下油锅声，每种声音响起时，我们小孩都会搓着鼻子流着口水想着上桌时的狼吞虎咽。今年，我们却没有往年的忙碌，反而多了一份悠闲，既不用贴对联、挂灯笼，又不用做年夜饭。今年的年夜饭，我们没回老家，三伯请我们所有人到饭店团圆。感觉今天的时间过得好慢，我掐着指头算时间，终于到下午五点半了，我和妹妹蹦蹦跳跳走在前面，平时熙熙攘攘的街道今天空空如也，人们都回家团年了。走进大厅，耀眼的灯光，红红的灯笼，好多陌生的面孔，大家都围坐在桌子旁，说着笑着，大屏幕上锣鼓喧天，处处弥漫着年的气息。整个大厅放眼望去，大概有五十多桌，妈妈感叹“如今的人们都知道解放自己，在忙碌中学会放松，年夜饭都不在家做了。”可是我却感觉没有往年热闹，缺少家的味道。爸爸的一番话让我豁然开朗，春节作为我们中华民族的传统节日，有着渊远的历史，她是游子回家的信念，是孩子们欢快的笑脸，更是维系亲情的重要枢纽。哦，有亲人的地方就是家，在哪儿吃饭并不重要，重要的是亲人们在一起就好。

一眨眼，除夕夜就到了，我们一家人一起坐在餐桌前，一边吃团圆饭一边闲聊着这一年的事情。屋外爆竹声震耳欲聋，烟花把整个天空照得亮堂堂的，仿佛似白天一般。饭后，奶奶要我学起了鸡、鸭、猪的叫声意思是：鸡呀、鸭呀、猪呀快点儿长大。这是祝奶奶的鸡、鸭养得好一些。由于我太矮了，于是我躲在门后一边跳一边说：“跳跳长长，我和大门一样高。”这是希望我来年长得快长得高。

我来到大奶奶家和他们玩起了烟花。我心惊胆战地点燃了一只小鳄鱼，然后躲到一边，这时小鳄鱼飞快地旋转着窜上了屋顶然后又“啪”到一声落到了地面。忽然，我听见“咝咝”的声音原来是像雪花一样的烟花正在燃放。过了一会儿一个好娃娃的烟花也开始表演，烟花越来越高不一会也窜到了屋顶，五颜六色的烟花在天空中绽放。最后我们来到一座庙里祈福，祈福来年全家平平安安。

最后我们一家人坐在电视机前，看着春节联欢晚会，快乐地度过了除夕。

Dear Christmas father:

Christmas Day falls on the twenty-fifth of December.It is a very happy day

for many boys and girls .Before the term ends in some schools ,the children act

a nativity or “birth” play,showing how Jesus was born in a stable.

On the twenty-fourth of December,all children are very excited.Usually they

are sent to bed early so that their parents can get the presents ready.The

younger children think that Father Christmas will come down the chimney or

fireplace ,so they hang up a sock for him to put presents in.The greedy ones

even hang up a pillow-case or a sack to try to get more presents.Later that

night,Father or Mother will put presents in the sock,and leave others at the

side of the bed.

On Christmas morning,the children wake up very early.Some even turn on the

light at two oclock,and most of them are awake by six oclock although it is

not light in England for another hour or two at this time of the year.Children

look for their presents,and the young ones play while the dinner is prepared.At

about one oclock in the afternoon,the Christmas dinner is brought in.The turkey

or chicken is quickly eaten.Children search in their Christmas pudding for new

coins which are hidden in it.The rest of the day is full of games and eating

until the happiest of all Christmas hollidays comes to an end.

除夕夜晚，星星大概也去团圆了吧，只留下月亮在漆黑夜空中散发幽光。我垂下眼帘，没回老家的失落感如暴风雨般朝我袭来。

妈妈见我如此沮丧，安慰我道：“你可以给大家打视频电话啊！”对啊，视频电话，这样不仅能听见大家的声音，又能看见大家的样子，岂不是两全其美？

我迫不及待地打开手机，这时，忽然响起一阵轻快活泼的铃声，外婆的头像在屏幕上清晰闪烁着。是外婆打来的！我情不自禁地勾起嘴角，手指如蜻蜓点水般在屏幕上轻点了一下。刚按下通话键，亲戚们就立刻挤到屏幕前，笑容如阳光般灿烂，冲我说道：“新年快乐！”

我近几年不常回老家，好久没讲闽南话了，几乎都淡忘了。我望着视频中嘘寒问暖的外婆，只听懂几个字，其余的如在听无字天书般。

“外……”我想向外婆报平安，却觉得用闽南语十分别扭，只好憋了回去。亲戚们明看见我的窘态，却也不出手相助，一副看好戏的模样被我看的一清二楚。

我望着外婆，硬着头皮，用蹩脚的闽南语说：“外婆，祝您……”说罢，我望着外婆似懂非懂的表情与笑得前仰后合的表弟，十分尴尬，恨不得找个地缝钻进去。最后，还是姑姑好心上前做了翻译。

我看着大家与我们侃侃而谈的样子，仿佛他们就在眼前。原先的失落感如浮云般消失的无影无踪，取而代之的，是满心的欢乐。

就在大家聊得热火朝天时，姑姑说道：“现在科技真发达，多亏了这视频电话，虽然你们今年没回来，我们还可以一起聊会天……时间不早了，早点休息吧。”我不舍地朝视频中的亲戚们挥挥手，轻按下“结束通话”。

妈妈笑着对我说：“心情好多了吧。有了这视频通话，虽然我们今年没回去，但还能与大家聊天……”

我望向窗外，在心中暗想：除夕夜的这一通视频通话，不仅让我感受到了浓浓的亲情，还体会到了如今科技的发达……

春节期间我过得非常开心，脑袋里只有玩字。我和爸爸妈妈走东家串西家，这个饭店到那个饭店，放鞭炮，玩烟火，打电脑，高兴得像飞出笼子的小鸟。

最难忘的是除夕夜。吃完年夜饭，我们一家子就围在电视机前看春节联欢晚会。小品、唱歌、跳舞应有尽有，精彩纷呈！

当电视里十二点钟声一到，宁静的夜晚沸腾了！我们也到外面放烟花爆竹。首先，我给大家每人发一根80发的长棒烟花，再一根根点着，我们拿在手上转啊，摇啊，无数道亮光划破夜空，像小猴子一样向不同方向乱窜，还吱吱地唱着真美！接下去，爸爸点燃了特花竹报平安，只听见嗖地一声，冲出盒子，飞上了天。顿时，空中绽开了艳丽的火花，红、橙、黄、绿、蓝五种颜色不停地变着，还不时变换形状，有的像菊花，有的像吊兰叶子，有的像蝌蚪这时，左邻右舍也鞭炮齐鸣。爷爷搬出了大爆竹，小鞭炮嘭啪！劈劈啪啪！爆竹声冲向蓝天，天空仿佛一个庞大的电视屏幕，正在播放着千家万户迎新年的精彩节目！

爆竹声中一岁除，不知不觉我们迎来了猪年！

Yesterday when Susan was waiting for the bus at a bus stop, she saw a purse

lying on the ground. She picked it up and opened it. In it was some money and a

telephone card. She wanted to find out who lost it. So she went to a public

telephone and dialed the number on the card. Fortunately someone answered the

phone. When the lady came and got back her purse,she thanked Susan for her good

deed.

ast Saturday,with all my classmates and teachers,I went on a trip to the nature park .We departed from school at about half past seven and spent about 40 minutes travelling to our destination.When we first entered into the park,all of us were shocked by the natural beauty and the hamonized ecosystem of the park.Then,happily we were playing games on the sand; swimming in the pool and taking with our friends on the grassplot.After lunch break,our programs were continued with an contest of story narating held and each of us was immerging within the funny stories We left the part at about 5 oclock,and unitl now,most of us are still haunted by the beautiful memory of that trip.

时光流逝，不知不觉中，我们迎来多少个最难忘的除夕夜。回想每年的除夕夜的来临，家家户户都开始灯火辉煌，喜气洋洋；而在我过去度过的无数岁月中，令我最难忘的除夕夜还是去年的除夕夜。

等啊，盼哪，终于迎来了除夕夜。我和爸爸早早儿吃完年夜饭，做着充分的准备工作。爸爸将魔术弹架在窗台上，对我说：姗姗，你马上就要大饱眼福了！说完，只见一个个烟花弹喷涌而出，就像飞拥出一个接着一个的小精灵，五光十色，美丽无比。我拍手叫好。可就在这时，魔术弹突然从后面轰的一声炸开了。从窗台径直炸向了我的书桌。我的书桌着火了。眼看着我刚刚买的一航红宝书烧了起来，我却无能为力。我大哭起来，爸爸也被我吓坏了。爸爸赶紧拿来水扑灭了火，安慰我说没事，姗姗，红宝书没了可以再买一本嘛

我大哭不止：可是那一本上面有小罗师哥写给我的鼓励啊！ 想到这，我哭得更厉害了。

真是一个糟糕的除夕夜。

“爆竹声中一岁除，春风送暖入屠苏。千门万户曈曈日，总把新桃换旧符。”新的一年到了，怎么能少得了贴春联，包汤圆，吃年夜饭，看春晚呢！

一、贴春联

下午我们来到奶奶家，准备好东西，我们开始贴春联了。我和爸爸把米糊抹到春联上，妈妈成了“艺术总监”给我们确定出最佳位置。不一会儿家里的春联都贴好了。春联贴好了还要贴福字。“福”要倒着贴，意思是福到了。最后一件事就是挂红灯笼了，爸爸爬上梯子，把旧灯笼取下来，再挂上新灯笼。春联贴好了，灯笼挂好了，辞旧迎新。

二、包汤圆

奶奶要包汤圆了，当然少不了我和弟弟这两个爱蹭热闹的小鬼啦！我蹑手蹑脚地走进厨房，弟弟偷偷地跑到灶台后边生火烧水，而我趁奶奶不注意之时，偷偷拿走一块面团学着包汤圆。虽然我包的样子有点丑，但也能凑合着吃吧！最终，奶奶拿了一个面团让我们自己去玩，从而成功的赶走了我们。

三、吃年夜饭

作为一个吃货，除夕最开心的就是吃年夜饭了。一家人团坐在一起吃年夜饭。望着蛮桌的美味佳肴，我是口水直流三千尺，不吃到肚皮发胀不罢休。妈妈打趣道：“照你这个吃法，过年要长胖十斤喽！”“哎呀，过年嘛，吃完了再减也不迟嘛！”

四、看春晚

还没到八点，我们全家都坐在沙发上准备看春晚，边看边嗑瓜子，别提多惬意了！

年，是我们的年，是全世界华人的年！

今天是大年三十除夕夜。我和爸爸妈妈等等很多亲戚一起吃饭。

开始吃饭了!妈妈，外婆和奶奶这几位“厨师”端上了很多美味可口的菜肴：油腻的红烧肉，甜甜的糖醋排骨……让你的口水飞流直下三千尺。等菜上齐了，一大桌子的“小馋猫”吃的津津有味，狼吞虎咽。我大口大口的吃着饭菜，一会就把一碗米饭吃了个精光。就连平时优雅的妈妈也顾不上面子了。也大口大口的吃了起来。

吃完饭后，我们开始放烟花了。我拿起一根烟花，请爸爸点燃。过了一会，烟花里飞出一团绿光，飞到半空中的时候，那绿光一下子炸开来，变化出由红，黄，粉色组成的各种图案。其他人见了也放了起来。

除夕夜真开心啊!

Last weekend i went to the park with my friends.We went there by bus on saturday ,The weather was sunny ,When we arrived there,we saw many kinds of flowers ,they are so beautiful,There were many people ,some kids played football,some girls flyed the kites,and some old people played chess,we sang and danced there,In the afternoon we played some games ,when we got home we felt tired ,but happy.
