Before 1960s, no books or magazines talked about things like environment and ecosystem. Such a phenomenon means that environmental protection had not come to people’s mind and the social consciousness. Indeed, the main opinion in human society from the very past about nature is to set war against or conquer it. In fact, many of human’s progresses are made on the base of such opinion. Rachel Carson was the first person who doubted the correctness of the belief and brought the topic under focus.

In Silent Spring, Carson described a miserable village which was dying under the using of DDT. The village used to be prosperous and beautiful. In spring, white clouds of bloom drifted above the green fields. In autumn, oak and maple and birch set up a blaze of color that flamed and flickered across a backdrop of pines. Then foxed barked in the hills and deer silently crossed the fields, half hidden in the mists of the fall mornings. She thought that with the using of variety kinds of pesticide, especially DDTs, the village suffered enormous and irreversible damage and gradually withered and died. Soon it became just like the one described in the beginning. From her fine and smooth describing, I can even feel the groan of the town. Moreover Carson also sharply pointed out that the deep-seated cause for the environmental problem is the human’s arrogance and ignorance. So she asked people to correct the attitude toward the nature and reconsidered the developing path of human being.

Carson thought that because of the antibody and differentiation, pesticides would never be completely useful. On the contrary, those more and more poisonous medicines, because of the enrichment effect, would accumulate in humans’ body. It’s quite sarcastic that we hurt ourselves much badly while hurting the others. Then she analyzed many poisonous components in pesticides. Those are all unfamiliar names except DDT, such as chlordane, chloronaphthalene, compound 497, etc.

Those things really make me feel scared. We are on the top of the food chain, and it is such a perfect and fragile system. We human beings are just part of it and we depend on all of the creatures who stay on the lower positions. It is so hard and ridiculous to try to match the nature. Only in the state does man have a rational existence. Every species have their value to be on this world. Then no one knows what would happened if we force them to disappear. For example, let’s imagine the food chain as a meticulously made castle built by billions of little blocks and we human beings are the top one. There might be several tiny blocks on the bottom which you think is useless and dispensable. But what would happen if we take them away? Perhaps nothing happened, and perhaps the whole castle ruined.

Destruction is always much easier than recovery, not counting those incurable ones. Humans always think that we are much cleverer than the other animals, so we become more and more conceited and firmly believe that we are the king. We didn’t see that the nature is so magical and knows how to revenge. The pay back is much more violent and cruel. We need balance and order. The nature has its own rule. Our aim is to use it and live in harmony with it. The ecosystem is so delicate that even a tiny disturbance could lead an unexpected consequence, just like the butterfly effect.

At the last chapter, some scientists came up with other ways to solve the pest problem----biotic control. There is now a bly running tide of interest in chemical sterility. Those sterile insects are released and mate the normal ones so that they won’t have any larva and get extinct gradually. This solution seems to be reasonable and helpful, but thinking about it carefully, you’ll find that it is just another way to ruin the food chain castle. Carson is a great woman and fighter. When writing the book, she was suffering from huge pain of the operation for mammary cancer. After the book was published, the widely affect brought her not honor and fortune, but fierce attack from the chemical estate. She died only one year after the book’s publishing. On the spring of 1964, the great woman passed away, but Silent Spring made her voice never silent.

The 20st century was a time that technology and economy developed rapidly, especially the 40 years after Silent Spring was published. 我飞过绿草，落在花丛中，仰面躺下，看着蓝天、白云，闻着花草的芬芳，听着植物们窃窃私语的声音，和煦的春风穿过花与花之间的缝隙，吹在我的脸上，柔和的阳光洒在我身上，尽情地抚摸着我的羽毛。原来，这里才是我们的世界，鸟的天堂。

这时，我才想起早上还没吃饭呢!一只小麻雀落在我身边，友好地说：“大姐姐，你饿了吧，我带你去吃饭。”这只小鸟真善解人意呀。我还没回过神来，就已经到了“餐馆”。我一边吃，小麻雀一边告诉我，这些吃的都是一个漂亮的女孩送过来的。

听到这儿，我打了一个寒颤，下意识地躲开食物。我知道，好多小鸟就是这样被害了。小麻雀好像知道我什么意思，说：“姐姐，你不用担心，我对你没有恶意。”我开始还有所防备，渐渐地我胆儿大了，有的竟飞到了我的身上。“你看，她来了”，小鸟笑着说。我抬头望去，只见一位美丽的少女一边撤着小米，一边朝这边走来。跟随而来的，还有阵阵的花香。我陶醉在这一股花香中。

这一个早晨很快就过去了，我又飞到其它地方，一天就在眨眼之间过去了。山林的美丽、幽静，山林中小鸟们的友好，山林中这位姑娘的举动，怎能使我忘怀?我要让更多的出生在闹市的鸟儿品尝山林的静谧与合谐，拂去心灵的灰尘，重返大自然的怀抱。

“涟漪，是湖水的微笑霞光，是清晨的微笑春风，是大地的微笑。”微笑，是一个多么温暖的字眼啊! "Ripple, the smile of the lake water, the early morning smile, the smile of the earth." What a warm word!

记得有这么一个故事。一位老人生病住了院，有位护士每天都板着面孔给老人打针，喂老人吃药。有时候，老人稍有配合不好，护士竟然呵斥那位老人。更别提跟他聊天谈心了，老人每天都郁郁寡欢。

过了一段时间，老人痊愈了，准备出院，在临走时小声地对那位护士说：“你能笑一下吗?我从来没有见到你笑过。”护士感到心头一震，涨红的脸慢慢的绽出了老人一直都希望看到的笑容。“原来你笑的时候这么漂亮!”老人微笑着走了，留下的只有陷入沉思的护士……

早晨起来，看者窗外灿烂的阳光，感受到窗外的鸟语花香。新的一天又开始了。对着镜子里的自己甜蜜的微笑一下，挥别已成昨天的烦恼，开始自己新的起点。告诉自己：我能行的!然后自信的走出失意，走向希望。微笑让我自信。

一路上，我微笑着对待每一个人，因为我知道每个人的心里都渴望得到阳光。穿梭在茫茫人海里，看到的几乎全是一幅幅冷若冰霜的面孔，似乎人们中间永远都隔着一堵冰冷的墙。每个人都渴望温暖，却又矛盾地拒绝着温暖。

我微笑着对待别人，我并没有损失什么，反而得到了别人的友好。“付出就有收获”这句亘古不变的格言就在微笑的一刹那被证实了。微笑给予我友谊。

人在这个世上生活都会有喜有悲。有时喜得热泪夺眶，有时悲得痛不欲生。那就微笑吧!面对成功，让微笑来代替欢呼雀跃，说明我们在虚心的构画未来面对失败，让微笑来代替痛苦流涕，说明我们有重整旗鼓的勇气。

我们微笑着对待一切幸福和痛苦，不因事物的成败而大喜大悲，这样让我们的心灵承受小一些的负荷反差，让心灵更加坚韧。微笑是由激动转为平静的润滑剂。春天，每年只有一次轮回，但我们却可以每天拥有春天。因为我们的心灵里有着春天的温暖与希望。为了有更多的温暖在你我心中保留，让我们一起来撒播春天的种子―微笑，一起去享受别人照射的阳光―微笑吧!

我最喜欢的季节是秋天。同学们，你们知道我为什么这么喜欢秋天吗？让我告诉大家吧！

秋天，是个丰收的季节。今天，我就带着同学们和老师去参观一下秋天的美景吧！你们看，田野里的稻谷抬不起头了，一片片金灿灿的稻谷像金色的海洋随风起伏。哦！我知道了，秋天是金色的。

在公园里散步的时候，树上的叶子已有很多是枯叶了，风轻轻吹一下，枯叶就会轻轻地飘落下来，一只只蝴蝶似的翩翩起舞。哦！秋天是橙色的。

太阳照射着大地，要是你抬起头仔细地看，那么你一定会发现太阳是红色的。

“沙沙沙沙，沙沙沙沙”。大家都知道，这声一定是下雨的声音，绵绵的秋雨姑娘一定有不少的心事要向我们倾诉。我已经知道下雨了，但是我却没有避雨，因为我在和秋雨姑娘聊心事，让秋雨姑娘尽情湿润我的脸庞。

雨停啦，我抬头望了望，天空蔚蓝蔚蓝的，啊！原来秋天是蓝色的。

在果树里，我看到了香蕉果树上挂满了一簇簇的香蕉，我们平时吃的香蕉是黄色的，但是树上的香蕉却是绿色的，哦！原来树上的香蕉是还没成熟，等到树上的香蕉成熟，就会变成黄色的了。

呀！秋天原来是五彩缤纷的颜色，有：金色、橙色、红色、蓝色、黄色……就像雨后出现的一道彩虹，你们说，秋天是不是很美丽？不信，你也来瞧一瞧吧！相信你也会像我一样喜爱上秋天的美丽。

My favourite season is autumn. When autumn comes ,the weather is very cool and there is much wind. Autumn is a harvest season.Farmers are busy getting in crops .They are tired but very happy .

I like autumn.I like playing basketball,football and table tennis. I also like playing tennis.I like playing games with my good friends. I like skipping,too. At weekends , I skip with my best friend. We have a good time. Sometimes I climb the hills with my parents.We take a lot of food with us ,such as hamburgers ,eggs ,bread and so on .We also take a camera.with us .We have a picnic on the hill.We also take many pictures. We feel very happy.

我最喜欢的季节就是夏天。

夏天终于来了，可是几年的夏天与以往有些不同。在以前，5月份就会热的人恨不得去北极，可是今年呢，现在才热得受不了，之前还得穿件长外套。可是不管怎么样，夏天还是来了。

夏天，就是要热。热也有好处啊，多么的热情奔放。虽然路上行人少，知了“叽叽喳喳”叫个不停，小狗吐着舌头“呼哧呼哧”直喘气，一切都充满着活力。

可是夏天也有忍受不了的时候，如果太热了，谁也不愿意出去。就只能呆在家里了，像我的话就会开着空调，吃着冰激凌，靠在沙发上看电视，那时候真的很舒服，甚至可以用一个字来形容——爽！夏天外出活动完了以后，回家痛痛快快的洗个澡，那也真是一种享受。每当暑假的时候，我就会与爷爷奶奶一块儿出去乘凉，奶奶会拿着一把竹扇子，一边抬头望着星空，一边说说笑笑，一边听着蝈蝈那悦耳的叫声，夏天一改白天折磨人一般的火热，但依旧有些吝啬地给我们带来些微风，不过很舒服。

夏天就是这样，与火热联系在一起，我才不管热不热，只要自己过得舒服就可以——无论怎么抱怨，夏天也是不会改变他的热情。

感觉暑假已经到来了，在空调间里吃着冰棍，做着作业，夏天其实就应该这样度过。可是，还有一个礼拜呢……再撑一下吧，等考试考完以后，就迎来真正的暑假了。我最喜爱的夏天，给我带来舒适的暑假……

“沙沙沙”窗外下起了小雨，一个个活泼可爱的小雨滴们唱着欢乐的歌，手拉着手从天而降。“啪”的一声落在地上。春雨过后，带走了冬天的寒冷。一轮明日从东方缓缓地升起来，把阳光照到了每一寸土地上，这时候刚刚贪婪吸食了雨水的种子们，使劲向上升终于破土而出，他们伸着懒腰，迎接着美好的一天。小草旁边的花儿们也绽放着自己的美丽，争先恐后的向人们展示着。“嗡嗡嗡”辛勤的小蜜蜂出来采花蜜了，它们多么努力啊，一会儿到这朵花，一会儿到那朵花，蝴蝶也不甘示弱，它们跳着优美的舞蹈在花丛间飞来飞去。在这个生气勃勃的季节里，我最喜欢放风筝了，早晨，我迎着朝霞和伙伴们飞奔到草地上，望着春天的天空是那么的蓝，各式各样的风筝在空中飞翔，成为一道美丽的风景线，再看看绿莹莹的草地，草地上点缀着几朵可爱的小花。我的心情非常愉悦，我们慢慢的把小燕子风筝飞上天，在那一刻我们的“小燕子”终于飞上了碧蓝的天空中，在天空中飞翔。我的心情无比兴奋，“小燕子”一会儿飞到这，一会儿飞到那，在白云中和我们捉迷藏，在碧空中和我们飞翔。啊！春天多么美丽多么有生机，春天还为我带来了无限的快乐，我喜欢春天。

In the spring, all things recovery, the weather is gradually warming. In spring, it is everywhere, no matter where you go can feel its flavor. So I decided to look for spring.

In the spring, in the garden, the grass cant wait to head out from the land, the earth immediately become a fluffy carpet. LiuShuChang out of the green leaves, soft branches down like a little girl plaits. Flowers are you wont let me, I wont let you understand, the race to the open. Yellow jasmine opened, which looked from a distance, small yellow flowers like a horn. Pink peach blossom a next to a, filled with the whole branches, they are like a group of naughty children, scrambling to let people to see his gorgeous charm.

In spring, in children. Spring is coming, the children all took off the thick cotton-padded jacket, wearing a thin spring clothing. They three group, two group to play in the square flying a kite.

春天，万物复苏，天气渐渐变暖了。春天它无处不在，无论你们走到哪里都可以感受到它的气息。于是，我决定去寻找春天。

春天，小河里的冰融化了，沉睡了一个冬天的小鱼儿跃出水面，在水里自由自在地游着。成群的小鸭子在鸭妈妈的带领下一起在小河里游泳，嬉戏。好一派热闹的景象。

春天，在花园里，小草迫不及待地从土地里探出脑袋，大地顿时成了一块毛绒绒的地毯。柳树长出了嫩绿的叶子，柔软的枝条垂下来好像小姑娘的辫子。花儿们你不让我，我不让你争奇斗艳，竞相开放。黄澄澄的迎春花开了，远远望去，一朵朵花像一个个小喇叭。粉红色的桃花一朵紧挨着一朵，挤满了整个枝丫，它们像一群顽皮的孩童，争先恐后地让人们来观赏自己的艳丽风姿。

春天，在孩子们身上。春天来了，孩子们都脱掉了厚厚的棉袄，穿上了薄薄的春装。他们三个一群，两个一伙到广场上比赛放风筝。

啊!春天真是太美了，我多么想把它用相机拍下来一直保存下来。
